The tide has suddenly turned, and Gaddafi's forces have apparently taken Ras Lanuf and Bin Jawad. There's still a lot of fighting going on in that area.
Some of the coalition forces, such as the US and UK, have spoken about arming the rebels. I can see why they'd take the step - if Gaddafi defeats the rebels, he's free to begin a huge massacre of every man, woman and child that stood against him. But, personally, it also leaves me feeling uneasy - where do we draw the line? The UN resolution only allows the protection of civilians, and doesn't say anything about arming people. I'm no fan of Gaddafi, but if the rebels did ever oust him, what about his supporters? What if a rebel decided to turn a coalition-supplied gun on Gaddafi-supporting civilians? That'd be in violation of the UN resolution.
I just hope this doesn't turn into another Afghanistan...

Ohh cool
now things can go two ways
One, Muamar Gaddafi leaves, his regime crumbles, and the rebels take Tripoli as well as all the other cities under the government control.
Two, Gaddafi has a plan up his sleeve, and murders the rebels in Tripoli, making this war everlasting, until the expiration of the no fly zone, to which his grandson now the new Libyan leader will march inside Benghazi and slaughter the population. The world can't do something about it, for it would have reentered the dark ages, which i believe are just around the corner.
EDIT:
This just end, Gaddafi's royal guard surrender, Tripoli falls to the rebels.

Reports of Government Troops that are held up at the Main Gaddafi Compound that Reagan Bombed in the 80's; Bab Al Aziziya, in the Southern part of the City. Reuters reports Gadhafi loyalists hold 15-20% of Tripoli. The Rest of Tripoli is currently in Rebel Hands
Gaddafi is nowhere to be found after babbling messages to State Television. State TV has gone to Soap Opera reruns. MSNBC reporting that State TV is falling or has fallen into the hands of the Rebels.
