I got a theory, what if Naruto is really the great great great great great great grandson of Rikudo, and the 9 tails was really a Bijuu that he entrusted on his children from generation to generation. Nagato might have just been a reincarnation for Rikudo to meet with Naruto and give him his mission, you know world peace and all.
Look at the seal he did, something he doesn't even know but he did it anyways.

And the six paths thing just confused me, is Naruto the reincarnation of him or something?

It looks like though Naruto won't stay in Rikudou Sage mode long because he doesn't have the full power of the Juubi sealed inside him.

As soon as Naruto puts a rasengen to Madara and Sasuke's faces.

Well worth the wait for this one. I think that the greatest thing about this chapter is that while it concludes a major struggle for Naruto, it raises the final set of questions that will be answered leading to the finale of the series. Anyway, here's what I came up with and some of possible anwers....
What is Naruto's relation to the Sage of the Six paths? Is he the source of the special chakra that made Kushina and Naruto ideal hosts for the Fox?
A descendant who's 6 path chakra has been awakened by attaining an extremely high physical strength plateau, taking control of the Fox's chakra, using sage chakra, and using the 4th's complex seal perhaps?
This is not the final meeting between Naruto and the Fox. Will Naruto need to allow both halves of the Fox's chakra to merge and reseal it at some point? Will Naruto eventually become host to all the tailed beasts or the ten tails (as the Sage of the 6 Paths did)?
No idea... I still think that this could go in a number of different directions, including a death and resurrection scene for Naruto.
What will his abilities be now that he has mastered the Fox's chakra?
My guess is that he will have both more power and control than Killer Bee (especially with 6 Path Sage reference). Bee relies on the eight tails in its' various forms for strength. I don't see Naruto and the Fox ever having that kind of relationship. I hate to make the analogy, but I think the Super Saiyan comparison is valid here. Super Saiyans harness the unimaginable strength of their "giant ape" transformed state and condense it into a similar version of their normal form, with auora, hair, and eye color changes. Jiraya and Naruto's sage mode transformations would be another good example. Jiraya had less control over sage mode than Naruto, thus, less power and more physical transformation. Let's not forget that, even with Bee, using the 8 tails cloak caused his skin to deteriorate and presumably caused him some damage. This is why I think that Naruto will transform, but with a physical appearce much closer to his normal state. Besides looking at it from this fandom's perspective, do we really want Naruto to save the day and possibly Sakura with vacant, glowing demon eyes or his own? Not to mention how much more of an impact it will have on the allied villiages if he suddenly appears (in a new flame coat of course) prepared to do battle with all of the worst and most powerful villians in history. Can't wait to see "that jutsu" training!
Will Naruto now defeat Sauske easily? Has Naruto become too god-like in his world?
I don't think so. As has been previously mentioned by others, he will probably have to face many of the strongest villians, face off against a rediculously overpowered Sauske, and then take on Madara himself. As I have said in other posts, since Madara is behind all of the struggles in Naruto's life and was an enemy that his father could not defeat, I believe he is the final villian. Sauske and Naruto might face off while Madara is making preparations to achieve his final power. With Sauske's EMS and genjutsu ability, he may still be able to get the upper hand on Naruto. Remember, in this ninja world, it is not always the strongest that wins the battle. Plus, the Sharingan may still be able to affect the use of the Fox's chakra. Sauske may even be the one that takes Naruto down (only to allow Sauske to finally realize the depths of his darkness and be redeemed and Naruto to be resurrected more powerful than ever) Also, this final weakness may allow Sakura to make good on her promise to help Naruto bring Sauske back. I have this in mind because I think back to Lady Chiyo's explanation of how to battle the Sharingan. There was never a really clear demonstration of this being put into play. If Naruto has Sauske disracted, Sakura might be able to get close enough to attack. She might do some damage that helps Naruto to finally prevail. That and whatever Itachi's gift is. Finally, Naruto will probably have to utilize all the chakra that he has to use "that justu" and defeat Madara.

My thoughts exactly! I guess the odds are in our favor that at least once in 500 chapters a whackadoo theory will pan out!
Awesome chapter. Lots to think about. I agree with desaix too, Naruto's going to need some awesome power to defeat the line up of baddies that are coming.
Loved that the shoulder swirls and stomach swirls matched the swirls on his clothes that he's been wearing since day one (on the jacket and T-shirt, respectively). And it's interesting how the six-paths commas match the sharingan.
So is he going to become the new sage of six paths? Is that what this chapter is implying? I always thought he was going to put he sage's plan of peace into action, not actually become the sage. So was Naruto related to Nagato? After all, he had red hair like Kushina....
Just rambling, I know it's impossible to know yet what's planned. But there will be lots and lots to think about before 500!

I think it's pretty obvious that it's Kushina. The power of love prevails! Nothing's stronger than the bonds between a mother and child.

So when I first read the chapter and saw Naruto's epic p0wnage of Kyuubi I was like

Then I saw the last page regarding Kushina and I'm like

Having Kushina as the previous container for the Kyuubi makes sense if you look at it from a certain point-of-view. Both Kushina and Minato sacrificed themselves in probably the prime of their life. From the beginning it was heavily hinted that Naruto was the Yondaime's son; therefore, he was going to be the one to finish his father's path and serve as the Hokage who will change the shinobi world. I don't think it's ever mentioned how long Minato was the Hokage before the Kyuubi attack, but it was presumably very short. Minato wanted to be recognized by the village and though Kushina never touches deeply on it, the mere fact she was bullied when she was younger and that she's a jinchuuriki only means that she was ostracized as a child. Kushina and Minato probably bestowed their dreams and wishes on their son hoping that Naruto would finish what they hoped to achieve and for Naruto to surpass his parents. He would surpass his father as Hokage and he would surpass his mother as the Kyuubi jinchuuriki.
One thing that I also found touching about the chapter was Naruto's last words to the Kyuubi and how he felt sorry for him. I wonder if that's part of Naruto's way of planting the seeds to friendship with the Kyuubi because he really seemed sad that he had to cage him up. Naruto also specifically said that he wouldn't hurt him.

Also I want to know where Minato came from.
Errr...one more question before I'm off to Europe: How does one have a baby and destroy a village at the same time? Was Naruto a newborn when the Kyuubi was sealed, or was he hangin' around for a few months before mommy went out of wack?
