Kishi certainly likes messing with Fandom's minds, even the NaruHina and NaruSasu fans could have picked a few parralels, Kushina's thoughs on Minato, are similar to what Sasuke thought of Naruto when they first met, and how Naruto though Hinato was just a strange kid who faints allot...lol Also both Kushina and Hinata were kidnapped by Cloud because of their abilities. It's not as obvious and doesn't hold as much weight as the parrarels between NaruSaku and KushyMina but like many things if you want to beleive in a pairing you'll find hins everywhere.

If you look at it a certain way this doesn't confirm that Kushina is actually dead, she said that Minato wanted to use her chakra to help the seal, so does that mean it's possible that Kushina could still be alive and might be in a Coma from Chakra depletion, or did Minato do the same thing as what Madara is doing with the Bijuu, removing the chkra from the person, killing the host in the process? It's probably something that's up for debate until it's confirmed she's actually dead.

Man I can't wait for next week, I want to know more about the chakra and also how Kyuubi knew Kushina by her name? Was she holding the Kyuubi down whilst Minato did the sealing and picked up her name like that? From the look on it's face I don't think he knew she was sealed within him, but he recognised the Chakra and the person, maybe she'd come accross the Kyuubi before?

There is so much still to learn but I doubt we'll get all the answers we want.

Also, from seeing the way she got her second nickname, did anyone else think it reminded them more of 'Inner Sakura' than the one that she portrayed herself as being.

What amazes me is how her Jutsu can come out of Naruto's body like that. I'm Naruto can learn how to use her mother's jutsu's and chakra. Man I want to see Kushina at Whirlpool. eager.gif

Ok here is a poll, how many people here cried or at least got a little choked up when you seen the scene between kushina and Naruto. For me, that was a nice turning point as he was able to know a mothers love for the first time in his life. And I am going to be one of the first to admit I cried when I seen what happened
I almost cried. My eyes were about to burst but i held my tears

@ Ciardha, it was interesting to see that their relationship was formed when they were children. There's no word of their trials and tribulations, only the "most important moment" which was when she changed.

And to see the "red thread of fate" referenced! From handy-dandy wikipedia (which sometimes gets things right, tho not on narutopedia!): "An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break."

To put that lesson on Naruto, you could infer that once Naruto's bond is made, it is never broken. His choice is long lasting, never changing. And now Sakura sees it too. I think his time with his mother will give him the ability to recognize love for him in others, which he's really not been able to see before.

Yeah, and I confess, I was totally surprised (read: let down) when I clicked the "Next Page" button and there was no more next page! Gah!

Just loved the chapter, it was something that I've hoped for almost from the beginning..

well have to see on that but I have my theory.

As Yamato mentioned the reaosn Naruto is able to handle the foxes poisonous chakra is the and im quoting/paraphrasing here. "the strength of his own chakra."

There is also narutos aptitude with the Shadow clone jutsu which i grant can be attributed to the fox, but and i theorize this base on the fight with gaara. He created a massive vortex of Blue((IE non kyubi)) chakra before creating 2000 clones, then seemingly without chakra he saw Sakuras face and again ((no kyubi chakra)) summoned Gamabunta.

it was only after the combiend transformation that he finally called on the foxes chakra and beat Gaara.

around then Kakashi mentioned that Naruto had at least 3 times more chakra then he did.

3 times more chakra then even an exceptional jonin should not have alllowed the creaton of even 100 shadow clones much less 2000.

So i therefore theorize with some manga evidence and Kushinas statement about ""special Chakra"" as a reference. that both Naruto and Kushina share the same type of Chakra.

In essence what this chakra is is sort of a Chakra Rocket fuel. Its purer and richer and more potent than regular chakra.

so for example using a scale of 1-10 1 being a jutsu that uses minimal chakra ((henge, kawarimi etc)) 3 being more chakra ((tree or water walking healing justus)) 5 medium chakra usuage ((Gokakyu, shadow clones etc)) and 7 high chakra useage ((Rasengan)), 10 maximum chakra usage ((Shinra tensei ((city buster version))

A person like Kakashi would use a third of his chakra to create a shadow clone and make ti mobile and able to use jutsu. Naruto on the other hand gets more bang for his chakra so for that same third of his chakra he can egt hundreds of Shadow clones and is capable of creating more.

in essence Naruto and Kushina have a chakra thats extremely potent. It enables them to use high powered jutsus that would exhaust a normal person quickly but in their case they could keep going.

So it could be that Uzumakis strong chakra is based on the strong body of Senju, mentioned by Madara.

Further more about this: I just started to imagine next generation with Uzumaki chakra and the precision of Sakuras chakra control... happy.gif
Trust me, I'm an engineer!

It's used a lot in shoujo manga, there are several series I've read that are based entirely around that premise. I was smiling when I saw Kishimoto used it with Kushina.

And the bloody habenaro panel did remind me very strongly of Inner Sakura.

Huh? I don't see any NaruHina there. If anything, that's more along the lines NaruSaku as Sakura didn't think much of Naruto at first, but after a certain point, began to rely on him and trust that he could make her dream come true (bring back Sasuke). biggrin.gif

I just hope next chapter Kushina asks Naruto if there's a girl he loves and she ends up giving him some advice but somehow I doubt it. It will be too predictable for someone like Kishi to do. dry.gif

And gradually fall in love with him, exactly. I don't see any naruhina there at all. The only reference is much more a stretch than all the narusaku hints. Kumo attempted to kidnap Hinata too, but she didn't do anything to aid in her rescue, her father rescued her before the Kumo ninja even left Konoha, and her uncle had to die because of that. Not really much parallel there. Where, like people have said here, the scene with Kushina in Minato's arms is a close match to Sakura's in Naruto's arms, and the tone is much the same, except Sakura was already in love with Naruto, and they are 16 rather than 10-11.

Actually, don't you guys think that Kushina acts a bit like Sakura? I donno, something aboout her reminds me about Sakura...
I'm glad that we learned about Minato and Kushina's love story, even though, in my opinion, it was a bit dull. But yeah, i also hope that she asks about Naruto's love life.
When naruto said something like "Konoha's orange hokage" it hit me, well yeah, cause yellow and red make orange. I had never noticed it before. I was slapping mqysef for my stupidness.
And I wonder what makes Kushina's chakra so... Special... I hope we can get an explanation next chapter.

I know that it's nothing new and almost everyone as already say it but...Oh well! I totally LOVE that chapter, one of the best since the start of Shippuden ( in my POV) happy.gif

I love how Kishi play with drama and humorist aspect. This part of the manga is a critical one and we expect Naruto to be serious but that doesn't mean he should be out of character. Naruto is Naruto and now we know where he's coming from ( like mother, like son laugh.gif )

As for Kushina, I love the fact that, even if she's the mother, she also show sign of childishness and innocence ( like Naruto).

The part that surprise me is Naruto asking his mother how both she and Minato fell in love. However, after thinking a little, I realize that this make sense for him to ask that. As a kid, no one have show him really what love is and explain him this concept ( and I don't remember Iruka or Sandaime doing this). Naruto is older yet, in this aspect, he's still a kid and what better person to show him that then his own mother.

I almost cried when Naruto hugged his mother but the best part is when Kushina say ' I love you'. THAT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! ( not to mention seeing Naruto's blushing after that wink.gif )

I really can't wait to read chapter 499 ( mostly another 'talk with his mom' chapter ) and something tell me that Kishi will make a special for chapter 500 ( Naruto will probably finish Kyuubi in that chapter *cross finger*)

I'm pretty sure I read all the posts and I'm surprised I haven't seen a mention of page 8 yet. We all know it talks about Kushina's special chakra but @Catsi I don't think It's booster chakra but something different. As I said on page 8 the chains that trap Kyuubi instantly stop the transformation but the Kyuubi even knows Kushina's name! Pretty interesting maybe Naruto has purifying chakra emoticon_monocle.gif. Other then that awesome chapter Kushina is smexy tongue.gif

Mhmm i theorize that Rikudo had the same chakra, considering that he was able to become the 10 tails host.

yeah, that totally surprised me too. i was expecting something so different! but i can't believe that i didn't think of this earlier, but now that naruto's asked kushina about how minato and her fell in love.....i can totally see her asking naruto the same thing (basically same thing)!!!!!! like mother like son right? i could see her at least asking that as a joke.
