Shrug, cupcake chan and I commented on being feminists in context of the chapter and the way Kishimoto writes female characters, dl316bh decided that was his cue to spout a tiresome misogynist comment rather than actually pay attention to what cupcakechan and I were actually saying. It's like saying something racist rather than paying attention to the words a person of another race says, the person you say that to will call you on your words.
Now then, back to the true topic- I'm intrigued by what Kishimoto is doing with the Godaime Mizukage. He has done his typical good job of creating as emotionally complex a female character as he does with his male characters. He showed her kindness, wisdom, and compassion first, along with a hint of simmering anger at some pressure that has been been clearly exerted on her to marry by her village elders. (nice subtle touching on the real world social pressures 30 something Japanese career women face and how much women hate being treated that way.) Then we get a hint of how formidable a fighter she is. And now we see she has a Cougar side, which is fun. I like how it was shown she has a Cougar side, didn't come off as over the top but a believable part of the character.

Yeah, but I'm not sure I'm seeing how this relates to whether Sasuke has a Sharingan. That's where you're confusing me.

That would be fun, probably she'll have a reaction to Naruto somewhere in between her reaction to Gaara and Sasuke. Much more like her reaction to Gaara, but a bit more turned on. Cougar flirtation time, heh.

...And are all brought back to life thanks to Naruto's sudden De ex Machina of love and friendship. That's right, folks, the Power Rangers live on.
I'm really worried, though, that the Mizukage won't even make it until then. Sure, she seems to have a trick up her sleeve, but the Tsuchikage still needs to fight, too, if this is going to be an all out Kage battle. If you didn't catch my drift, she'll end up like random Samurai #4 (a.k.a. burnt toast), and the old geezer will have to step in to fight Sasgay.

Including the Green Ranger? The Rangers are incomplete without him, I say!
I suspect she'll survive. These characters were all introduced very recently. Logically, you'd figure most of them would be around for a while before kicking the bucket if their deaths were indeed planned.
The presence of the samurai's reinforces this belief. If the Kage's were going to die, I suspect they'd just be the ones used. The samurai's were basically Ensign Red Shirt's. Killed off to show Sasuke's going over the line or whatever and there for little else.

I seriously doubt she'll even be hurt that bad, the Raikage fought Sasuke and he didn't seem to be too fazed about losing a hand and a forearm. No, she'll definitely survive and be a pretty easy "convert" for Naruto's (and Gaara's too) goal of peace. (her own mindset is pretty closely aligned to Naruto's goal for peace + a bit of Cougar attraction= quite willing supporter.) If any of the Kage are at risk of death it's Danzo and the Tsuchikage. Both have their hands in too much of the evil in the ninja world, the Tsuchikage out of greed and corruption, Danzo out of a twisted ego and power hunger. The Tsuchikage will probably survive though to be an annoyance but not really a danger to the move toward peace, he's likely not going to stand in the way when he figures out peace can bring profits. The Raikage will be the obstacle, he believes violence is the only solution, but I think KillerBee might be able to work on his older brother- it was clear he didn't share his brother's mindset, and Naruto would likely get a more receptive reaction from him. I think it's likely KillerBee will survive because of this.
