I guess it was hillarious how a serious moment Naruto turned it into a comic relief scene, it was even funnier when Bee said he did the same thing when he was Naruto's age. It would have been a lot funnier if Sakura was present she would have obviously hit him or have him under a headlock.

Actually, I think that was the first time in a long while that a joke was funny in Naruto, I mean the series is being so serious lately that every joke or comic relief were badly placed or unfunny. An example was the Sakura poison Naruto by acident scene, personaly I tought was totaly unnecessary.

I think that most of our enthusiasm for the joke is that it is an attempt at levity. I wasn't cracking up over Naruto putting the eraser over the door either or painting the Hokage monument.

I'm just happy that Naruto acted like his old part 1 self since he has matured after the fight with Pain and the second Sasuke meeting. It's nice that he can joke every now and then with how things are going in the manga.

It's all about timing. I think it is good for Naruto to joke around again. That is Naruto and that is who he is.

I'm glad Naruto when back to his joking self, for a while I was kinda getting sick and tired of seeing the serious Naruto, I know it was important to the plot and all, but seeing joking Naruto is a breath of fresh air again.

I would love to see Sakura's reaction to that scene. First she be worried all kinds then like Gravenimage said get punished for it. But I think Sakura is part of a reason for Naruto trying to be mature that and he is too busy killing bad guys and lossing people he loves. So we don't really see him be funny that much. First he loses Jiraiya then Pain attacts the village and he had to face Sasuke. No time to be funny in all that. So I am glad he is back for awhile but facing the nine tail will be alot more serious. Maybe this is the comic humor we'll from Naruto or maybe not. There is still alot of time between now and the end of the story so who knows. I hope we get to see more of it in the future.
