Feels like the school went by fast. Interesting. I love the Cavalry battle, so badass.... XD. Then they go right back to being friendly with each other after all the testosterone.

Well, pretty nice chapter, me thinks. I like the shot of the mountains in one of the pages. I actually like this countryside mangas because of the beautyfull scenes of the landscape. Lol, poor Hachiken, he's nothing more than manual labor for the others, and what's up with Mikage mother ogling Hachiken like that? Does she think he is rich just because he came from the city? But now, the biggest point of the chapter was: who is the wrong one in this relationship? I aways tought that Hachiken parents were the distant ones, but now I'm starting to wonder if the distant one isn't him...

It's most likely that Hachiken pushed himself trying to make his parents proud when he didn't need to. His father may have died and he needs to support his mother, or maybe because he's the second son, he's trying to either live up to his older sibling's example or try to take up his older sibling's place because he/she is dead/sick? Whatever the reason, he's completely burned out by his experiences in the past.

I have to say this this is one of my favourite chapters. I myself, saw many animals being butchered due to my father business, but I never butchered one myself. Eating an animal you cutted yourself must feel a little weird.

And I wouldn't acept the payment neither, I remember I once owned my father an considerable sum of money, and one day he said to just forget it, but I refused and paid my debt eventually, if you have some pride, you can't let things like this go silently.

Aki's grandmother is just cool. Do you think Hachiken will spend his money on Pork Bowl? The way this chapter ended seems to suggest that Hachiken will be pondering Pork Bowl's fate...

I gotta say, I'm torn between laughing and shaking my head or admiring at Hachiken's sheer devotion to a pig. Still, it symbolizes that he's finally made his own choice compared to the implied stringent conditions of his family life. Who could blame him though, Arakawa draws those pigs so cute...

I bet any of you saw that coming eh? I liked the part were they go watch an video about slaughter houses, it's an important thing for whoever work with animals. I already went to slaughter houses myself, even thought I never really saw the real thing, but it was not because I was disgusted or scared, I would just feel really bad seeing an animal being killed, so I would rather avoid it. I wonder if Hashiken is gonna eat pork bowl all by himself.
