Now, this is some crazy theory by a few fans that I just think is disgusting: Some fans believe that Suying is Toph's and Sokka's illegitimate daughter b/c of her darker complexion! I call BS.
But we will apparently find out soon who Lin's and Suyin's fathers are   The producers confirmed it.
Korra/Asami is also great! But we all know MaKorra is endgame 

I hope they did! People speculate about Zuko and Suki, definitely wouldn't be a fan.

Someone mentioned here, but maybe Toneri really did put her under a genjutsu and she thinks she's marrying Naruto when it's really him... I mean come on, how else would he willingly get her to do all this? If it really was an NH marriage then you'd think that Naruto in the same suit would have been leaked in the movie sketches lmao. Plus if they're on this mission and Toneri grabs Hinata last second, how would he have the time to prepare this wedding? 

 

They have matching outfits, and it looks like she's doing some sort of prayer or ritual.

and if it turns out to be true that she was in a genjutsu and that she was actually kidnapped, maybe that would explain her ninja outfit? Hinata still has the same reserved personality, she didn't change at all. Why would she wear revealing clothes? It's not like her at all. Everyone else's outfits fit their previous ones. This is the same girl that covered up in both part 1 and part 2, but then her ninja outfit here contrasts with her personality and her previous outfits? Her casual outfit looks like something she would wear and fits what she's worn before. She's completely covered.

 

 

 

 

Then if you look at her ninja outfit in this movie, it's a completely different story. I think if she really is imagining all this, maybe her wearing this kind of clothing would stem from her lack of confidence? No wonder her outfit looks a lot like Sakura's then aha, she wants to be like her XD jokes Her outfit looks a lot more like her RTN one, and we all know how RTN was a giant genjutsu/complete opposite of the real world     

 

I hate how Hinata's eyes have been pushed so far apart in the movie. Completely chibi-ized to make her more child-like and attractive. Also the bigger boobs and the thigh gap. And in the casual outfit, they've removed her boobs, making her look less womanly and more like a kid. The curviness and her dislike of it was always a part of who she was. It's why she covered up! Seriously, they've turned her into a different character completely.

 

Also, we talked about this, but again the costumes are completley boring and joyless. For an illustrator who loved drawing the details — toes, belts, straps, buckles — it looks so different from the manga. To the point of them being different characters that only look similar to their previous inspirations. 

 

I have wondered if Naruto's costume wasn't pared down to make it easier to mass produce. And here I wonder if they haven't done Hinata's costume to make it easier to cosplay. There's nothing unique or costume-y about them at all. And it would be hard to mass-produce elements of her costume or leave it to fans to cosplay it this year, while the new series is going on.

 

It's a bit of cross marketing I wouldn't put past them at this point.

you brought up a really amazing point. if there is a nh marriage like so many are claiming, where is the sketch for naruto's suit? lol. but like you said, instead we only see toneri with a matching outfit like hinata's wedding dress. the theory of hinata being in a genjutsu to trick her into marrying toneri is very likely imo.

Yes, I swear I think they must have done some demographic marketing and are possibly trying to make her more relatable to Japanese fans. Making her more like a real girl they can emmulate, rather than just a particular big-chested shy girl from a manga.

 

Sakura, who was supposed to be the only "real girl" in the manga, the one without blatant superpowers, now looks like the fantasy/made-up character compared to movie Hinata.
