Sakura couldn't have confessed again without being believed. The ball was in Naruto's court.
Could he not stand being rejected again or did he just give up after Sakura asked to leave with Sasuke?

I sincerely hope someone flags NOW.org (national organization for women), regarding the characterization of women as second class citizens, might cause some waves here in the US!

Wouldn't have mattered, Kishimoto wanted to write SasuSaku together and he did, no point being mad at the characters.

Sad that he preferred that couple, I don't see its appeal except that they both look good together. But yeah I guess I shouldn't blame the characters, after all Kishimoto decided to write it that way.
