I believe the Japanese one is on the left but I could be mistaken, I just figured since the Japanese version is only out in Chinese subs and the Korean version actually has English subtitles.

I think you are right, because I cann't believe with quality from Korean version. It just... I watch a filler episode not a movie.
Even chikara filler episode has much quality.

There are still more but I just wanted to do my fave scenes for now

HOLY SHOOT!!!!!!!!!
I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT WHEN A SAW A COUPLE OF SCENES FROM THE OLD ONE COMPARED TO THE NEW ONE!! but this is just too MUCH!!
At first I kinds disliked thr movie cuz of how crappy the drawings were in some scenes, but now im officially in LOVE with this movie, and yes animation makes a BIG difference in my opinion, so like what, is that how the original animation was in the movie in japan?

I love Naruto's faces in the reanimated scenes and Minato looks more handsome too hehe ^^
EDIT: Probably cuz I'm tired.. I forgot to upload these images....
I think thats the last of it... If i missed anything let me know! ^^
Is there any difference in the fence scene? I love that scene in terms of drama because you feel they know each other too well without looking at each other. It's like they're so close to see each other and leave together, but instead, they leave in their separate way.
Thank you for sharing. One thing I like in the last one is that Sakura tried to bring the mood brighter by talking about reaching to Madara with a happy look, but sadly for her, Naruto is already growing attach to the world, which is why her reaction in that scene later on is worried.

They also changed the expressions a bit too. Take the photobook scene for instance, Naruto's pissed off in the on the left but calm on the right

That's true.
I like how they made Sakura wanted to bring a good mood after the mission but Naruto was thinking nothing but his parents, which got Sakura loses her smile and worried. That was a nice touch.

I like Kishi's for his more polished style and consistencies with the eyes and such, but the (Pierrot version?) right side has some more fitting expressions imo.
It feels like role reversal to me XD. You don't know what ya got till it's gone.

Lol yeah.
I do like the Kushina tease updated scene, because one, you can really tell Kushina is really teasing Naruto and two when Kushina got upset, it seems more to her character. Her expression is like "Hey, don't you do that or I will punish you for eternity!" than the other one is like "Hey, what's up with you?" But that's just me.

I wonder if Kishi had any input in the updated animation. If I remember correctly Kishi made many demands and changes during the production, so maybe the animation didn't turn out the best it could be since they had to work on a deadline.
Since they had many months before the DVD release maybe Kishi and the animators took their time to make the small improvements that couldn't make it in the original.

Thanks for the hard work. And yeah, I'm convinced. This is pretty much the reason why they were churning out fillers in the war arc. All of the budget must've gone into reworking the movie, which I had hoped for. BTW, all of those reworked scenes were done by one person. Seiko Asai. Pierrot must've used a lot of their budget on her since she had to rework a lot of scenes. And it's such a shame Kishi was such a slave driver thus, resulting in a rushed movie with lower quality art. Now I'm wondering they reanimated the whole movie up to Movie 3's level of animation quality.

Only that one person. I find it hard to believe that person didn't have a team to assist. Where did you hear that?

It was a good movie the negative part is that the scenes and the flow of the story was too quick.
we got 20 mins of flashback + 10 on the story then we got 45~ of movie.

I lurked around NF. One of the members there follow Date's twitter. According to him, Date tweeted that Seiko reworked about 40 scenes. It's not surprising to see a one-man team in animating scenes, and it's quite a common practice among some studios. But the consequence is that the payout is bigger so it hurts the original series' quality. But Seiko is considered one of the best artists the studio has, so the payoff is pretty worth it. I wouldn't be surprised if the animation in the DVD is much better compared to theater release. To the point it reaches close to movie 3 quality.

Pierrot: Hey, wait a minute! This movie is NS galore! Why the hell we have some budget problem with this one? Quick, let's revamp many scenes!
Worker: But what about the war arc?!
Pierrot: Screw it! More fillers!

I'm joking.

I know that's the problem to begin with. But I bet they're happy that they made NS nicer as well. Not saying that's their priority, but you get the idea.
