I once got into an argument with a huge NH fan about quoting Sakura's possible feelings for Naruto in one of the previous datebooks. Something along the lines of "What are Sakura's feelings for Naruto? Sakura has yet to find the answer." I used this to explain that this is the definition of development.
He/She retaliated by saying that datebooks are not canon and don't count. Even thought Kishimoto helps write them..

If it doesn't support their pairing, then it's not canon. Always remember that when debating with NH/SS fans

What's the difference  why DB and FB at same time and then another DB  ? My head hurts    .

Databooks are much more comprehensive. They give profiles to all the characters, information on all the jutsu, that kind of stuff. The fanbooks have more minor information, like details on background villages and a few new characters, things like that.

 

 

because that isn't a databook, it's a FANBOOK.

confirmed what? I only knew that some stats would be included in this fanbook, just that. Otherwise it wouldn't habe been called as "fanbook" but "databook". You have been mislead. You will see only elemental affinities in this new fanbook.

i know but to me it looks just a fanbook since it's weird they don't put stats but only elemental affinities.

It is kind of ridiculous. Sometimes I felt that I couldn't debate with some people because I kept receiving arguments like that. That's what made me originally turn to this forum. I also just love being surrounded by people who share in my beliefs.

Wouldn't it be better if you made thread about this databook? It's going to be difficult to find information on this stuff in this movie thread because it moves too fast. It would be better to have it organized in its own specific thread.

They probably got rid of the system because with recent stuff, the charts would no longer make sense.

I understand. The same thing happened with me too when it came to debating pairing facts with them. Luckily, we found this place, so we don't have to deal with that anymore

I guess they didn't want to spend time figuring out stats for all the characters. It's like 270 characters, right?  that would take some time, I'm sure. and, like Kster said, it probably wouldn't make any sense anymore.

Sure! And nah, that was a page from the databook. It was from a preview on a site that sells it. But yes, these are the databook pages. The next fanbook won't come out until the movie premiere.

it would be better not to take DBs as canon, manga is the only way to go , not to mention, many things in the DBs can be used for both nh/ss too, such as sakura the one who filled Sasuke's lonely existence(which is too much lulz) and Naruhina was described as a  ''love story'' in DB1. so yeah.
