Their response will simply be it's butthurt NS fans. It's pretty funny how before chapter 700 they rubbed the fact tehy were the majority in everyone's face. Now it's NS was the majority and their the poor little fandom that was bullied mercilessly.     

now NS+SNS+SK have created an army against them. x) it's NH vs everyone else now. Even some SS.

I have heard one piece Z and strong world were also shown on a couple of theaters (Japan still can't compare to the US in terms of blockbusters that appeal to a mass audience)

Kishimoto actually gave a video message to the french back in 2010. Naruto seems like a huge deal there. I saw from reddit that they have posters of naruto and One piece in their subways. Not to mention they had a whole freaking shelf of one piece volume and other mangas.

 

Statistsically france is the second consumer of manga no wonder they would show the film there.

 

I think he went several times to Japan expo there. Plus there's a lot of fans there so I'm glad to see that the movie is not well received !

Many fans of Naruto went to see it. Others went to see it just out of curiosity because it's rare to see movies of Japanese animation here in movies theaters ..

But don't worry guys, French press exercises significant influence on the society.... 2,6/5 .. I can assure you that the "success" of The Last won't last long ..

Oui c'est certain. Comme c'est le dernier film de Naruto je suppose que les fans veulent le voir pour dire adieu à cette œuvre qui a bercée leur adolescence.. Maudit Studio Pierrot x) Ce qui assez étonnant c'est que ce film a eu un succès mais ... il est tellement critiqué ! Jamais un film de Naruto n'a été aussi mal critiqué

My kokoro aches....(I haven't watched NS AMV for ages...But I couldn't resist this time )   

When I see this, It reminds me of how much the characters changed.

When I read the spin off, I really get the feeling that It's a completely different manga.

Oui voila, c'est juste une histoire de nostalgie et tout ! Il mérite toutes ces critiques, en tout cas ! J'espere qu'il va avoir une si mauvaise réputation que SP et Kishi vont s'en mordre les doigts ...Mais bon, je reve trop. 

Je ne sais pas si tu connais le chef otaku (menu manga) sur yt, il a critiqué le film durant un live...et venant de lui c'est quelque chose, car c'est un vrai fan du manga. D'ailleurs il a fait deux videos à propos du manga en lui qui soulignent tous les défauts et les erreurs que Kishi a fait.

Uh since half of these post have suddenly are in french (which I can't understand), but judging by the English ones it sound like The Last is being received poorly in France would be an understatement. Also even the critics unanimously hate it. Make sense.

 

In Japan SP most likely paid off all the critics to praise the movie. So it wouldn't flop due to bad press.

 

In the US most movie critics have most likely never seen Naruto and only know other than dragonballz it the most popular high selling anime in the US. So the fans must like this kitten plot. So who are they to judge it? The critics that have watched Naruto generally go with what they assume is the popular opinion. That everyone is happy with the goddess being given everything she ever desired at the sake of the plot. So in general they were nice to it a treated it like a kitten kids movie.

 

My guess since France is the second largest consumer of manga and anime after Japan, and Naruto was once one of the biggest animes in the world. They probably expect higher standards than a kitten kids movie. It makes sense that some of the critics have most like have seen Naruto before, and the ones that haven't were probably not bribed by SP to give it a good review. So they gave their honest opinion of it.

I know one of them said that the romance has no emotions and diversity (well I forgot what words they used but it's similar to this). I agreed with that wholeheartedly.

You could find the word and ask the french users what translate into other than "diversity." The critics could be say that they were very little variety in the romance scenes and that each one felt like all the others, and all of them have no emotions to them.

You know Clash in the Land of Snow, The Lost Tower, Blood Prison, Road to the Ninja and Bonds.

 

But do you recall...the most pathetic movie of all.

 

Naruto the Last Movie, always loosing ratings by his critics.

 

And if you saw this movie premiere, you would even say it blows.

 

All of the other movies, usually laugh and call it crap.

 

That is because poor Last, knows nothing but defeat.

 

On one weary December Day, The Last came to play.

 

And just when the movie made its premiere...Oh look there comes a huge plot hole!

 

Then all the other fans shunned it, and continued on their lives

 

Naruto the Last Movie...It is time to say goodnight..

 

Blood Prison: Alright let the hate begin.

 

Bonds: Alright alright, tell me if you heard this one...The Last movie went into the theaters...and it died...

 

The Lost Tower: Uhmmm it is...pretty funny...Alright I have one, Okay so the Last and Studio Pierrot walked into the theaters, and the ticket salesman said. "Sorry sir, we don't sell tickets to your kind around here. Studio Pierrot said "What you got something against clowns?" Then the bar tender said. "NO! I got something against failures.

 

Road to Ninja: HA! I got that. Hold on, hold on...stop...just let me try. The Last was so bad, it was so bad, that it was beaten in the box office by something with the plot equivalent of Twilight. Because Twilight was sooo bad...and the Last must have been that much worst to be beaten by something so easily...beaten by me...uhhhmmm shut the hell up.
