Some say he is saying this to new mangaka but most say he is discreetly playing the victim since alot of people are pissed about this

now he's addressing the "haters" because he wet the bed and people can smell the piss.

 

so lets recap:

 

1. turns out to be sexist like a lot of us thought with his recent comments

2. says neji was used a cupid to bring naruto and hinata closer together

3. says he used 9/11 as inspiration for the cycle of hatred

4. says he misled his fans

5. says he wanted hinata as the heroine because she's more popular than sakura

Well if that is true, it may also be down to him losing the respect of his peers, for a professional to lose the respect of your fans is one thing, but when you lose the respect of those who are in the same line of business as you, and those who looked to you for guidance, that could be a harsh pill to take, If it's true that Oda Sensie made comments that were back handed insults aimed at him, then that would be the biggest cause of regret for him, for 15 years they were likely the biggest rivals and friends and when that person is displeased with you, that same person who drew a cover to celebrate the end someone who who he himself promoted at the end isn't happy with you, then that would drive home the message more than anything else.

 

He could fool himself into believing only the minority are angry with his ending, he can't console himself when his peers lose respect for him. I wonder how many upcoming Mangaka read that ending and were disheartened by it? How many wondered if someone as successful as Kishi sold out, how would they succeed in telling the story they want to tell? Being a mangaka is not easy, it takes allot of skill, luck and hard work, the end of Naruto told all those bright eyed kids that they are just a tool.

 

Everyone wants to be the poster for success in their field. No one wants to be the sign post pointing others to a different direction.

 

I think maybe Kishimotos realizes that he is no longer at the pinnacle of success in manga he was 5-7 years ago. Now he is the just a sign on the path warning others what-not-to-do. And he knows it.

 

Naruto will not be remembered as a high point in manga storytelling. It will be remembered for how terribly botched the ending was (regardless of shipping), and how it all hinged on betraying half of his loyal fanbase.

 

Future artists won't be inspired by Kishimoto or Naruto. They won't say "I want my manga to be like Naruto!" Instead they'll say, "Whatever happens, I don't want my manga to end up like Naruto."

you are mistaken. oda's interview was a year before naruto's ending happened.. he wasn't talking about kishimoto.

NS4L or anyone who wants to post this on tumblr you can!! Just put the Inoue translation as comparison, I would suggest putting that this is most likely a message to new mangaka but it sounds like he is playing the victim (something around those lines) also try to put in your own words what KNS, Ramen and Tricksie talked about just to see others opinion and be fair but what he said pissed alot of JP fans Thank you!

Off topic, but for those that have read Sukedachi 9 it turns out that the raws of Chapters 3, 4, and 5 have already released. I'm pretty curious as to why they haven't gotten translated yet cause basing how things are going by images they do look pretty interesting. I can't really say if it's getting better since the dialogue isn't translated.

Off topic, but for those that have read Sukedachi 9 it turns out that the raws of Chapters 3, 4, and 5 have already released. I hate the fact that it is a monthly manga. Grrr! It's the same as Noragami and SnK. I forget about these mangas so easily T^T
