1) this is a shounen
2) sasuke doesnt like anyone that way
3) he...at best thinks of naruto as a brother (did)
4) i honestly think kishi is pushing this brother thing so hard cause he has a twin brother himself. so that kind of thing must be important to him
come on people!! >:UUUU thats not even a funny joke!!

1) this is a shounen
Which means nothing. Homosexual male characters in shonen manga aren't as unusual as you want to believe. Nor are even gay transsexual characters- have you forgotten Haku? Kishimoto has shown to be completely comfortable (far moreso that many of the western readers of this manga) in writing male characters that are pretty overtly homosexual.
Haku
Orochimaru
Kabuto
Sai
Then there are the male characters that he hints they may be predominately homosexual amongst them is
Sasuke (his interactions with Karin is the only hint he may harbor a slight attraction to females at all)
Oh, and Kishimoto is quite aware that he has a very high ratio of female readers, even in part 1 he stated that almost all the letters he received from readers were from females. Remember, the overwhelming favorite ship amongst Japanese readers is the crack ship of Kakashi and Iruka. That creates a situation where Kishimoto feels quite open to play with homosexual attractions between the male characters he decided have something along that line, as with the hetrosexual romantic feelings in this manga, this is often a one sided thing.
Naruto is the closest bond Sasuke has to a living person. Kishimoto wasn't afraid even at the end of part 1 to hint that Sasuke's feelings for Naruto shaded toward the romantic. He's been more overt, but still subtle about in part 2. The closest he's come to overt was the cover image for volume 38- the layout and expression on Sasuke's face is an overt copy of heterosexual romance novels cover stylistics- something recognized by even many western readers. In a more subtle way Kishimoto has this reflected in Sasuke's reaction to seeing the name on the bridge in Wave Country in part 2. (the look on his face is deliberately almost a duplicate of Sakura's fond smile that she only has toward Naruto)
Soupy is right though, that Sasuke is so emotionally messed up that even his romantic feelings are all messed up, extremely dysfunctional. He has these feelings but has no true understanding of love at all. He sees it as only a weakness, etc....
It's basically a parallel of Orochimaru's viewpoint, except that Orochimaru wasn't as closed off. Orochimaru also saw love as weakness, but didn't reject it outright, instead he manipulated it in the most terrible ways.

none of those characters are homosexual.
haku admired zabuza cause he took care of him when he thought he was a monster.
orochimaru isnt homosexual, theres no proof of it...creepy maybe but not homosexual
kabuto admired orochimaru. no proof either. he admired his powers
sai???????????? why is he on the list???????? XDDDDDD he hasnt done anything to suggest hes homosexual? hes just blunt.
maybe your just over thinking it.

When I saw this I stay with mouth open.
I guess many of you know that the animators of Naruto said openly that they like Hinata, but how many of you heard that they like NaruSasu even more than Hinata. Even the two voice actress that play Naruto character said openly that they like the NaruSasu.
Even Kishi but he said that he will be to ofensive to readers.

In real life you don't spend 4 years of you life trying to save someoneq worse been hurt and abuse by that person, and even worse if that person say that he will kill you and all the person you ever know, if Naruto have a familly he will want to kill them too.
Naruto and Sasuke may be fictional character, but that about you doing anything to save a brother that's using drogs don't fit here, Sasuke is aware of what he is doing and he know that he is wrong, and he don't care, stating that you will kill the one and only person that will risk his life to see you save is out of this worl.
People call Naruto's behavior a sick obsession.
Others a great romance story and 90% of the regular fans doesn't understand Naruto's behavior.
Manu Naruto lover hate Sasuke and many Naruto hater don't like Naruto because of his obsession with Sasuke.
Naruto is a great friend but Sasuke is a selfish prick, trust me there is no way to paint thier relationship with rainbows.
Still too early to say my friend. And Sasuke was the first person Naruto WANTED to form a bond with as shown through their childhood, just that Naruto let his envy for Sasuke's talent and popularity stop him from trying.
He's just denying their bond. And besides Itachi's "real intentions" were a BIG slap in the face for him so yeah I'd have been surprised If he didn't use his love for Itachi as an excuse
Haku
Orochimaru
Kabuto
Sai

Haku- Blindly devoted to his savior/god
Orochimaru- A-sexual. not interested in anyone inheriting his work or legacy, INCLUDING offspring, wants to continue it himself.
Kabuto- same as Haku
Sai- hasn't been exposed to "feelings" long enough to be straight or gay since his brother died.
Sasuke- typical Delinquent/ vigilante:cold, rude, rough, tough, and an uncaring A**H***!!! pretty cliche, except bishonen.
Point is that all of these characters were just the target of gay jokes because of their apparent lack of interest in women. They were designed to be only attached to one person or specific people in some sort of bond and were meant to be presented as emotionless otherwise and only devoted to their own or their master's/mentor's goals. It would be out of character for them to be shown as lovey dovey or romantic that's why they don't SHOW any interest in women, and that is especially so for Sasuke. Remember he is supposed to be portrayed as vengeance incarnate so can't be shown as "lovestruck". If any of these characters were actually gay, Sesshomaru from Inuyasha would be the forefront for "the cold gay". And I know of your knowledge of japanese trends and culture so you should realize that unless it is one of the main themes of the manga, in otherwords shonen ai or Yaoi, homosexuality is usually used as a gag or joke in the series. DO any of those characters look like they're for comic relief? Well maybe Sai actually.

Yeah, you're a bit off, sounds like shonen anime/manga characterizations from the 1980's, not current. In part 2 of Naruto especially, Kishimoto doesn't hold back from making suggestive sexual/romantic images and words, and for both hetero and male homosexual it's not always done as a gag. There's even a scene when we get a bit of a revisit of Haku's and Zabuza's bond when Kakashi reveals Zabuza's last words about Haku to Haku, Haku's reaction (and really Zabuza's too) is a romantic one.
Orochimaru asexual? Not hardly. He rather obviously had a rather lustful attraction to Sasuke- it wasn't just the eyes, he rather liked the "pretty package" that those eyes were in, and there's a rather strong undercurrent even in part 1 of something sexual between Orochimaru and Kabuto. The current is distinctly different than Anko and Orochimaru's vibe. And that's with the one hint that Anko when she was Orochimaru's apprentice may have had a bit of a hero worshiping crush on him. Kabuto had an obsessive attraction to Orochimaru that had more than a little sexual overtones- this is more clear in part 2....
With Sai it's first played up in a gag fashion- the kitten focus, etc... and of course his mildly interested reaction to Konohamaru using himself and Sasuke in the yaoi no jutsu, but his bond to Naruto isn't just written up in gag fashion with manga homosexual feelings, Kishimoto has freely borrowed shonen ai elements when writing Sai's and Sasuke's (in late part 1 and throughout part 2) feelings toward Naruto.

*********
Those aren't all the characters that have shown no interest in females by a longshot, here are some more that I didn't include because manga evidence isn't really clear that they are or were dominantly homosexual- but an argument can be made even for them from what is shown in the manga.
Might Guy
Yamato
Danzo
Itachi
Hidan
Tobi
Zabuza
Suigetsu
Jyuugo

Its not like they kissed on purpose, and when they did, they choked, and Naruto got beat up by the girls.

Maybe for the guy who pushed Naruto into Sasuke, for him it was considered gay, as for Naruto and Sasuke, they couldn't help it.
Look guys, I'm pretty sure Kishi isn't going to make his 1st or 2nd favorite character gay, unless he was a big fan of "guy on guy" action, and he is not because he has a wife of is own, so therefore, you should see my point.

Um, are we still discussing who's homosexual and who's hetrosexual or not?

Btw thomas, the kiss with Sasuke was an accident, the guy who was sitting in front of Naruto bumped Naruto and he fell into Sasukes face, basically. Like jordan said
