 do you guys think naruto became about chasing the past? Like naruto and sakura couldn't move forward in life without sasuke? Because, seeing how this manga and movie basically brushes off any development done before and after sasuke left, I can't help but feel like they were stuck in the past. Hell, naruto said he couldn't be hokage if he couldn't save his friend and they basically ignore kakashi's first lesson in order to chase sasuke, "those who abandon their friends are worse than scum." Because if thats the case, kishi failed to make us want sasuke home.

 

But I guess none of that matters because, sasuke is back and everything went back to the way it was! Like nothing happened between them at all.  

Look at chatper 700 - basicaly all characters have early part 2 desing with minor changes, like nothing really happend at all after part 1.

To all this, Naruto this is  a basic shonen series, the MC has the name in the history  and it has not changed since then and Naruto it seems will change.

Yeah sort of. It amazes me how powerful of a character Sasuke really is. All it took was for him to be "redeemed" in order for everyone to revert back to Part 1. And he himself doesn't even stay in the village.

Literally Sasuke and Karin meant the world to me, so to see her sidelined like this infuriates me. We still have no clue what happened to her. Sasuke and Karin was such wasted potential.

I'm not a SK but SK had the narrative also unlike Nh/Ss  they still didn't get any answer for this kitten WTH happened that was so important LOL  JFC .

They gave Hinata everything Sakura has  her childhod background , her style , her heroine role , her power up  her men  and yes even a freaking  cherry blossom weeding   the kittening irony and retcon is to kittening great .

That's completely understandable. I honestly did not want Meruem to die simply because of Komugi x Meruem. It was one of the sweetest couples in the history of shounen manga. But with that being said Meruem killed over thousands of people, and there really is no excuse for that.

One has his prize to pay, other one - not, easy as day and night, but you can feel the difference.

I was looking for her and Naruto interaction after she will settle around Sasuke in Konoha, silly me 

Naruto and Karin would have became such close cousins and like, they'd also be rivals and like... 

 

Karin would be an amazing auntie to Naruto's kids, and then her precious kids with Sasuke....for some reason I can only imagine Sasuke having kids with Karin?

I don't remember anything about the first one, but yes, Hinata's Hamura powers are permanent, since it's literally running right through her now.

Of course, that's a given. They're praising this movie as the greatest movie ever and totally canon since we've seen it in the manga, ya know.

Damn, it took forever to catch up.

 

 

Anyway, after reading Swag's summary, I can't help but laugh. But, not about all the obvious reasons on why this movie is kitten, no. I'm laughing at Hinata's power up. Here she is being hailed as the savior of the world, yet in the end, the only thing she could do was hold Naruto's had and replicate his and Sasuke's attack. Like, what the hell is the power up she got? She showed no new powers, just some purple chakra encase her and that she was able to make a mobile Kyuubi, but only with Naruto's help.

 

There are only three things in this entire movie that she did. 1. Put ointment on Naruto, 2. stand next to Naruto, to be a chakra donor, and 3. grab Hanabi's eyes after Toneri was temporarily down. That's it. Out of all that screen time, Sakura ended up doing more noteworthy stuff than her, by Saving Naruto's life(again), fighting puppets, and rescuing Hanabi.

 

Hinata is treated and acts like a princess, because she does nothing of much importance, while throwing her own pity party the whole time. Her character is so bland, that all she can do is knit scarves and get put in tight outfits to be eye candy. That's it. Honestly, with this movie, I can't even regard her as a ninja.In the manga, she was trying, but she never got there.( just like with T7, they were trying to succeed and transform into fully developed characters, but ended up regressing.)

 

It's hilarious how this movie, that's meant to show nh/Hinata in a favorable light, only highlights how kitten they both are, in the end. I'm glad that NS was not made canon this way, because this is truly the most disappointing ending I have ever seen in my life.

Same with SK.... always imagined Karin staying in the village with her cousin and Sasuke. I could see Karin and Sakura as friends too, sighh.. Thanks Kishi for the ending she go- I mean- what's a Karin?
