I think you've lost your villain ways. I will blot out the sky, and you'll never see justice descend on you until it's too late.

*snort* Heroes, always unthinkingly holding themselves above others. For you to descend, you first have to get yourself above me. And that, oh crusader, is much easier said than done.

If I said, it's because I've already done it. Villains and their arrogance. Hah.

You're accusing me of arrogance? Oh-ho, what an interesting splash of irony. Such brazen confidence in not only your supposed position, but your protested ability to get the drop on me as well--matched against my calm surety in not being beneath you. Tell me, when looked at this way, who is the truly arrogant one here?

Villain. You should take your opponent more seriously before I strike you from your blind spot and render you more useless than you already are.

@alex-- D: What happened? I'm sorry to hear you've been hurt.

@Omega-- Says the hero that took this long to reply, and yet still didn't answer the question I posed. Tsk tsk. For all of your posturing and bold statements, you're the truly useless one here.

Bioware happened. Mass effect, one of my all time favourite game series that I followed for more then four years, and enjoyed for countless hours, had an ending of five minutes that pretty much ruined an entire series of five years. It feels so dissapointing and so helpless. To put this feeling into place Kushina, try to imagine if all time main cast of Sherlock died or was separated forever in the end, well, that's how I feel.
If live wasn't hard enough, now our only getaway of problems, the lovely world of fiction, is shattered like it was nothing.

I don't know if Sherlock would be a good comparison; I've only been into it for a couple of months. My drama was Fushigi Yuugi (something I was into wholeheartedly for six years or so) sounds more similar to this--if it's at all like that, than I completely sympathize. I'm sorry it was ruined for you; maybe there will be more to the series that could make up for it? Or...maybe not--either way, I feel for ya man.

Even if there was more, I'm not sure I would like to see, Mass Effect is the kind of series were you invest more on the characters then in the story, and in the end, the characters recieve such an poor treatment that it's just unforgivable, and the worst is that the game is so great that it makes the ending even more painfull to watch. And then, there is the replay value, what is the point to play an series when you already know the kitten that is comming when it ends?

Er...the video's not working, and I can't copy the link... But I'll take your word for it that the payoff is disappointing =(

....I'm guessing I'd need to either play the games or look up extensive character profiles to understand what was wrong with that clip... There didn't seem to be anything bad about it or the characters' interactions to me--but that could just be because I don't know them or their history *shrug*

Sorry, I guess there is no way to get attached to a character without knowing their profile, but I still think the development is great. It's strange how somethings on fiction get us more down then in real life. I suppose it was really tough for you too when your beloved manga got ruined.

Well, yeah it's tough to get attached with just one clip like that, but it's also tough being able to judge whether it's good or bad development if I only know the ending. But like I said earlier, I'll take your word on it since I know you have played the games and do know the whole story about these characters unlike me.
I think...fiction has the ability to affect us so greatly because it's fiction; it has so many more possibilities than non-fiction, and we get caught up in expectations and uninhibited attachments so much more than we do in real life things (generally; there are exceptions to everything). When fiction takes a turn that we weren't prepared for, or just didn't want, it can linger that much more.
Mmm....yes, Fushigi Yuugi's second half/ending hit me hard because I'd accepted the anime's ending as the only one. When I got to the manga and it took a completely different--and unpleasant, in my opinion--turn, I felt like I'd been blindsided.
