Lucky you. You know, I could have gone longer but it took me 5 hours to finish it since I keep having a moment to talk about it from the movie. There's a bit more to it, but yeah, I just stopped.

Can someone give me the updates on Pokémon XY059 espisode which aired today? The 'date' episode?

well episode pictures are on serebii, its not out in english subs yet and no summary, but so far I don't see anything big going on between ash and serena other than going shopping and everyone giving gifts, maybe its chirstmas or something, but idk

Not true. The game has them listed as "originals" not "fated love".

you're thinking of the wrong game, when did I say it was ultimate ninja storm series? EDIT:  nevermind its in one of the cards or titles in storm 3, not sure which, so yes they are called fated love, its just not called that in the character select

You can select any picture to go along with that title "fated love". So it doesn't actually mean anything just because someone picked a NaruSaku picture to go with the title.

If you really want a hint....well...there are plenty. If you just keep looking at him through those same glasses for the previous series you ain't gettin' anywhere. Watch XY for XY as against, 'He's Ash. He is too oblivious' and you'd notice that there are far too many hints uptil now....ALONG WITH writer's hints as well. I don't really expect it to go canon...but its real fun shipping it. Just look at it for what it is as against....'All the previous instalments were like that. Its the same here.'

First Nicely said XD . But saying all of this actually hit me  The Bolded :   Why did Naruto  thought in canon  that Hinata is a Weirdo  if he saw her writing his name  he basically knew that Hinata was interested in him  !?  LOL I believe its another Retcon  or  he compared that to Ramen again  . Of course this scene not being in the manga makes it be by default an Asspull & Retcon  but still even by the scenarion they managed to kitten it up LOL . 

 

And yes I agree that Naruto should have thought of that instead  but  its not him so he couldn't bc its all for the sake of Hinata's 'love and her feelings"  .  Hinata wasn't a bad person but she pretty much became one  with being to selfish and single minded  discarding everyone when Naruto is in question , especially her precious close people  like her Family/Sister and Her Teammates  she never concerns about their well being  only about Nardo Kun - Nardo - Kun - Nardo Kun    it makes her look so shallow and reflects so bad on her  . But of course people will discard this just bc she looks innocent and shy  , I'm sorry but that doesn't make her a good person  but NH/Hinata fans fail to see this kitten  they are just as single minded  as  their character     .

Well he didn't see it back then, it was only in the genjutsu that he saw it. Sorry if that wasn't clear. 

 

But like you said, it doesn't really matter. This flashback was never presented in canon and therefore it's nothing more than a cheap and convenient plot device to paint Hinata as a love martyr and guilt Naruto into loving her.

 

I also agree that people tend to brush off Hinata's negative traits simply becuase she's so "cute and shy". The reason for this is probably that, unlike Sakura, Hinata never scolded Naruto or put him down, which is true but that's also the crux of the problem. She didn't do anything. Sakura, for all her faults and imperfections, actually made an effort to get to know Naruto and eventually acknowledge him as someone she could rely on.

 

By the time Hinata opened up to Naruto, he had already formed lots of bonds and shown people that he wasn't just a worthless loser. That's not to say that Naruto and Hinata hasn't had any meaningful interaction, because they most certainly have, it's just not as deep or profound as some people would have you believe.

I don't really watch it much anymore anyways, not really for the couples either, I mainly just care about the mega evolutions stuff and the season finale events and the good villains like malamar. I'm kinda wary of this season still, after all the last big villain we had was hunter j and she and her whole crew got killed off by team galactic xD seems like every time it starts to be good and intense they change it back super quick for the next season and get rid of the good villains or new techniques of ash and i'm like "why?"   even though the digimon anime isn't as big because people think its a ripoff when it isn't, it does so much better as an anime with the tones and story. I'll give xy a shot I guess though. I mainly have just been watching the mega evolution specials

At the end of the day, this movie is nothing more than SP wish fulfillment. It's clear that they worship Hinata more than anything else. It doesn't matter if Naruto is turned into a selfish a**hole or that Sakura, the heroine who has worked to hard to become Naruto and Sasuke's equal, is suddenly stripped of her title and showed aside. It doesn't matter that Sasuke, Naruto's most important bond, is basically forgotten. It doesn't matter that almost the entire canon is twisted to accomodate NH, because in the end that's all that matters.

 

This is not Naruto. This is not Sakura. This is not Sasuke. It's not even Hinata. This is SP's version of Naruto and even if Kishi had planned NH form the very beginning (which I don't believe), I don't think that this is how he had envisioned the ending, because it's a complete mockery of everything he spent 15 years building.    

 

After reading about the movie (cuz I'm not watching it!) it makes sense about Kishimoto's subdued reaction to the ending and the movie. He didn't seem pleased. He wasn't buoyant and overjoyed at the series being resolved. He didn't have a smile of satisfaction in any of the images. His interviews were contradictory and bland. And he even admitted to forgetting things...what else was he thinking about at the time if not the end of his world-famous 15-year series? He should have been jubilant, but he wasn't.

 

And now that the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, and we all have seen or at least know what the movie is about, it's easy to see why Kishimoto looked downright depressed in the publicity pics surrounding the movie. And why he seemed so careless in his interviews. To specific questions he gave conflicting answers. But for everything else he was ambivalent. It wasn't his ending, so why should he care?

Shouldn't Naruto be out of Japanese theatres now? It's the 6th of February, a whole two months since the original premiere. Hopefully the final box office numbers will be released in the near future. I suspect it at least managed to fulfill its ¥2 billion expectation within these last few weeks.

Pretty sure it's about time it's out of the Japanese theaters. I'm not sure if it managed to meet the ¥2 billion mark but I thought the expectation was that it would exceed that number by a large margin? If I'm right the movie didn't make all that much more than Road to Ninja and you can just tell their budget for the production and advertistising was a lot larger for the Last. Anyway if it didn't make it to the ¥2 billion mark it definitely will when it's released in the US.

Yes agree also . NH interactions  as a whole are very small not many  and while only a few are meaningful they were almost always in the context of camaraderie/friendship  there was zero Romance from Naruto's side he never ever looked at her that way heck even this retconkitten of a movie proves it   , it was totally one sided  with only Hinata focusing/obsessing  on romance  that's why this whole kitten is forced as kitten   their " development " was just useless  sign .

If you believe $4.36 million additional revenue (roughly a third of RtN's final earnings) in the home market is lacklustre, sure. The fact that a large number of theatres in the states have sold out indicates that TL will earn quite a bit there - enough to bring the total box office up several hundred million Yen possibly. I'm thinking that 3 billion projection isn't too unlikely.

Oh definitely. I really tried to approach the movie with an open mind. After all, Kishi did assist with the script, so hopefully it would at least be able to somewhat answer all the questions that 700 raised. I mean come on, Kishi spent 15 years getting to this point. It can't be that bad. I was wrong. Very very wrong. 

 

Like I said in my initial "review", by itself this movie is decent, but you pretty much have to forgot everything that came before it. Only the bare essentials remain. Pretty much everything else has been altered in some way. 

 

So yeah, I agree. It's easy to see why Kishi doesn't seem to give a kitten about the ending or the movie, because this is no longer his series. He handed it over to SP and WSJ. 

 

I don't know if it's guilt or if he just doesn't give a kitten anymore, but nothing will convince that this was how he intended the series to end. 

 

And don't worry. You don't have to watch the movie. I don't even know why I watchied it myself. I know that I said it was in case someone tried to dismiss my opinion on the grounds that I haven't actually seen it, but I honestly don't see myself ever engaging in any sort of Naruto related debate outside of this forum.

Yeah, the genjustu is really really really stupid. I don't know why they thought that was a good idea. 

 

But yeah, NH was always one sided. Hinata obviously loved Naruto, but Naruto just didn't feel the same way and The Last proves it. Even the supposed "cupid moment" that was meant to bring Naruto and Hinata closer didn't actually do anything of the sort. 

 

I'm actually inclined to believe those who say that Kishi is trying to sabotage the series. If he isn't then his dedication to being an absolutely kitten storyteller is downright frightening.

Uhmmm...you did make a good point here. Everytime there is something new or exciting, they kill it off. Well....I won't be so sure that XY is the last of all but....there are other workaways possible. Let's see how it all turns out. It is still in the developmental stages. We cannot tell the direction yet.
