I agree with this, too. I've posted recently over the confession in 615 thread about it. In my point of view, Naruto feels very insecure when it comes to Sakura's feelings for him. I'd even argue it's probably the only thing that he doesn't have confidence in. "The Promise of a Lifetime" deeply affected him and crushed most of his hope. That's partly why he can never believe Sakura loves him unless she does more to prove it to him. Naruto IMO also rejected the confession because he's afraid of getting hurt. He's with Sakura, only to realize she loves Sasuke more. He's afraid of that possibility and wouldn't wanna risk that. It would be too painful for him. Naruto's a lot more sentimental than he let's on.

Or at least, that's what I believe.

yea true but what i noticed on sakura's confession is that she was a bit too angry for some1 who was only trying too get him back too the village and it was worse in the anime. But who knows

Of course Sakura got angry at him. Unlike some others, I don't believe she knew she loved him during her confession. She forced her confusing feelings for Naruto to love because of the situation. However, I'm not saying Sakura doesn't love him at all. I believe she does but she hasn't realized she does. That's why her expressions about why she loved Naruto seemed more genuine than how she was saying she was over Sasuke (Which was quite obviously a lie). Her reason for her anger was that he was claiming that he knew exactly what she felt. That made Sakura mad because she has no idea of her feelings and she doesn't like anyone else deciding it for her. Not until she figured it out on her own.

Yeah, no kidding. Naruto's not of the mind to realize that Sakura can love him as well as she has loved Sasuke, even if her feelings for him are torn due to seeing how far he's fallen.

Not to mention Sai's words to Naruto are just from what he's seen, and he doesn't know how Sakura feels either, which is one reason he didn't realize it wasn't just for Sasuke that she wanted to kill him; it was to also protect Naruto since she knew Sasuke would try to kill him, and she also wanted to make things right in her own way, even if it meant killing Sasuke in the end since she knew Naruto wouldn't do it.

Naruto himself doesn't get too that Sakura can change her feelings, considering he hasn't noticed she's been more worried about him, and even if he said he wanted to save Sasuke for himself, it's mostly about her, and he knows it. Even now, he's still trying to do it for her since he doesn't know that she has grown to love him, even if she's torn up about it completely. After all, up til the stuff with Sasuke, even if Tenzo seemed confused too... Sakura showed she loves Naruto, which is why she confessed, even if she was forcing her confusing feelings for him in that moment. All of that was real, compared to how she was more in pain when just breaking into tears when confessing to Sasuke to try to keep him around.

After all, it was hard to deal with for her to confess her feelings to Naruto since she herself was torn. But given all she had done at that point, Naruto doesn't seem to get it that Sakura's feelings for him have changed from what he perceives, since he's caught too much in the past and fails to see how much she has changed.

Y'know, if there was one side that is basically the Joker card in the pairing wars, it would be Kurama. Why?? because no one knows Naruto better than him. Only he would know what Naruto's feelings are. If he ever makes a statement about Naruto's love life, you can bet it's make-or-break when the time comes. (NaruSasu comment not withstanding).

I can see it happening. They haven't make a contact yet. Hinata already did and no comment from Kuruma. Just only the fact Naruto needs to focus about his friends that they will push him to the future, even if they die. I would like to see a comment from Kuruma about Sakura. Time will tell.

Naruto has comic relief with everyone, not just Sakura. He isn't a very serious guy, why would we expect him to be a serious macho man around the person he loves? He should be able to be himself, and Sakura should be able to be herself, which they can do very easily around each other. I'd rather them have some comic relief moments rather than crying after every conversation or ending up so flustered you can't have a normal conversation.

How can I forget the funny scene where sakura cries after she finds out that naruto will die if the kyuubi is extracted, those tears of sakura are so funny, and of course when she ran towards naruto when he transformed and got hurt, so much comic relief! Hell even what yamato says afterwards is so funny, and the hug sakura gave naruto in the pain arc.... HILARIOUS!

Why di we have to play this game again and again everytime hinata shares a moment with naruto?

Just think about it. How often did hinata show up during part 2? If i think back it was the short moment when sai appeared the first time, itachi search arc, pain arc and now the war arc. Remember that this have always been extremly short moments and now in the current arc she gets her final development and a little more screentime as usual and everybody is going crazy.

Sakura was by narutos side during nearly the whole part 2 and had a lot of development with him. We also got a lot of parrallels and hints, but as soon as hinata gets a moment everybody seems to forget this.

Question yourself this:
If he really wanted to make NH canon, why didnt he focus more on naruto and hinata during the whole manga instead of sakura?
Why not throw in some parrallels for hinata?
Why make a movie focused on NS?

Some people argue, that this movie is some kind of consolation prize for NS, but i dont think thats true, because the movie also confirms the minato kushina parrallel again, as example with sakura chained the same way as kushina. Why should kishomoto show again that sakura is like kushina after her words to naruto to find someone like her, if that movie was just ment as a consolation prize.

The next thing we have to ask ourself is: What would be the sense of making NH canon now, if we still have over 1 1/2 years to go? Theres just no use for it. It would only block the story. The love triangle wont be resolved, sakura ends up alone or with an abusive guy who tried to kill her. There wont be any drama during the naruto and sasuke fight, because we already know that naruto is with hinata.

The story would end with sakura still loving sasuke, since chapter 3, naruto didnt get the girl hes been chasing after since chapter 3, the whole lovestory between naruto and sakura was useless, the parrallels were useless, kushinas words were useless, sakuras slow change of her feelings was useless and yamatos statement was also useless. In the end the whole dramatic lovestory kishi has been building was useless and had no happy end.

Thats the reason why i see this as hinatas final character development and nothing more. The main charactet gets paired in the end of the manga, so u dont see any reason to worry. Naruto didnt even show a sign of interest in hinata, so why dont we just wait and see if kishi destroys his story with an undeveloped pairing or if he sticks with the pairing that supports the story and characters.

Do you really think that will happen? That would be like the beginning of the movie RTN, where she said that Sasuke would understand her. Then her character developed, and that's where is is now. And maybe I should remind you of chapter 540. ^^
