I hope Yuka Miyata is the screenplayer for the Last also ,imagine the reaction of SS & NH if this is the case Lol XD.

I kind of want her to be, too, because she seems to be a pretty good writer (based on RTN and the episodes I've seen that I know she wrote, but I guess I'm biased when it comes to the latter.. lol), but also cause NH/SS's reactions will be hilarious.

But I also don't want to hear kittening about how because Yuka, a biased unprofessional NS fan who should be fired, wrote the screenplay that means The Last isn't canon and Kishi only drew the sketches.

Ok, once again I feel like I need to come in and restore some sanity to the ship. Guys, the fact that Kishi didn't write the actual screenplay isn't a shock. To me it was expected. Writing a manga or writing a novel is NOT the same thing as writing a screenplay. They are not. Nor is Kishi an animator. So that's out as well. I'm not sure what everyone expected his involvement to be.

 

Here's a perfect example. George Lucas may have created Star Wars, but did you guys know that he didn't actually write the screen  play for Empire or Return of the Jedi? He hired screenplay writers to do that work for him based off of a short story treatment of about 200 pages. He essentially gave the writer the plot, what he wanted and then supervised the creation. Sound familiar? It sounds to me that this exactly the role Kishi took and as a result this upcoming movie "could" be considered every bit as canon as the manga.

 

So even if Kishi chooses not to conclude the pairings by stories end, he could still do so in the movie and it would be canon if he says it is. Hope this helps.

actually, the screenplayer has to be announced yet. Maybe you did just confuse with the director, in this case yes, the director in THE LAST is different from RTN

Yep she's very good  but here is the thing I don't think that she's biased  but that she just follows the story and writes according to it  we know her involvement with Kishi  and  I think it was mentioned that they were also very good friends   so she knows his work and where its heading and if the story is moving to NS of course she would write about that  it makes sens .

 

But yeah its a shame that she got so much hate and that SS/NH were asking her head on a plate  the reactions were disgusting really , we also tend to criticize SP as a whole and do some sarcasm but dear god not on that level that was to much  .  But I do loved all the buthurt  coming from them that was hilarious

It's still strange. They called it an opening project and the movie is part of it...yet it ends there. I don't get it...

They're ending the story with Naruto and passing it on to someone else. The canon story ends filler anime story continues.

 

I'm excited....kitten this NaruSasu bs.

I think all pairings will resolve in movie.5 chapters for everything is not enough that's why a movie will come after the ending of manga.

5 chapters is plenty of time. Look how much story Mario had with just 50 pages. The Naruto epilogue will be atleast that long. Hopefully Kishi wraps up this NaruSasu fight quickly because he realizes that everyone stopped being into it a good 10 years ago.

I'm new here and I don't know if anyone has brought this up but some people here believe that the question of who will end up with Naruto will be answered it the movie and if that happens wouldn't it seem weird that Naruto will ignore Hinata's confession for how ever many years the time skip will be. I think kishi may have to finally give NH fans an answer in the manga.

If he does answer her confession, it would be a rejection. He still hasn't confess to Sakura and I definitely don't see him accepting Hinata without him completely giving up on Sakura, which he has not as the latest chapter confirms.

Well if he does go to Hinata about the confession he will probably thank her for loving him and believing in him but I think he will reject her but not like how Sasuke rejected Sakura.
