I just seen it and thank God. It could have been the worst thing happening to the state of Kentucky since UK hired Billy Gillispie. There was link to new screenings 5 or so pages ago.

He's absolutely right. (Orlando Jones is doing good in Sleepy Hollow with his character, Captain Irving).

it's kinda relevant in this situation. i read a nf member (not sure if shipper) say the ending is not really well-received even in the forums we frequent.. e.g. other plot stuff like the itachi stuff caused a lot more talk than the greatly anticipated ending of this series..

Maybe it was because back then, there were more Naruto fans. A lot of people dropped the series at the beginning of the war arc...and we should have done the same!

Oh that's just my nature its how I am Lol , As for Naruto well I've followed it for 8 years can you blame
. Although I don't give a kitten about it anymore so passionate about it I'm definitely not just disappointed .
I share in your general disappointment for the manga and what the conclusion, including the recent movie, did to the integrity of established personalities, subplots, and just every moralistic value Kishi was trying to leave an imprint of in the minds of his readers. However, I try to maintain a sense of rationale. Sure, being passionate about your opinion is a good trait, but allowing it to influence what you're writing to such an extent that it distorts your writing is not good.
Yes it was only for the anime but there were also statistics that the volumes sales don't go well for quite sometime also like the ratings of the anime dropping.
Of course, the manga has been gradually lessening in momentum and sales long before the ending even arose. The final results of how everything ended up would have magnified the drop by some unknown percentage. But the decline in sales relative to what was being experienced before isn't too significant of a drop by itself, I would say.
Well of course that Hinata and "The Last" with the manga's ending is not the sole reason there a few that contribute to its falling , But the fact that after this ending The Anime hasn't been in top 50 and has been consistently going down does point out that The kitten it was served to us is a major part of it . As for the other reasons I can name them to you since previously before I came to this site I've been a member of one of the two major Naruto Anime sites - narutospot.net so I know how anime lovers think , and there were many dissatisfied with the anime especially after the Pain Arc and I've seen many people quit on Naruto Anime after that.
Nothing short of a comprehensive survey asking questions regarding the personal opinion of the movie, ending, and the circumstances that developed from it could give any definitive answer. Oftentimes the viewers leave after having reached the ending of the manga/anime. In Naruto's case, since the final results of the story have already been more or less shown with the recent film, a large portion of them feel disinclined from continuing with the anime. Why should they? Not only is the manga over, but Pierrot has already depicted how plot turns out and what the ultimate fates of the characters are like.
Another interesting explanation for why the anime's ratings declining that another poster here suggested was the fact that Pierrot was going into a filler arc. There's no denying that filler versus canon storyline is generally a contentious issue which most prefer the latter to the former. The infamous "filler hell" at the end of Part 1 is an example of an anime that overused nonessential low-quality crap to pan things out. Couple this with the generally low budget animation, and you have a justifiable cause for the anime slipping out from the top ranks. I suspect it will manage to crawl its way back into the top 50 once the core storyline returns.
I'm not too familiar with Narutospot.net, however if it's the website which I'm thinking of, it's no surprise that they would feel content by the final results considering the bias a large number of Western fans tend to lean towards with issues concerning heroineship, character relevancy, the importance of characters such as Hinata in the life of the protagonist, and of course, the romantic relationships.
Mainly bc 1. SP were doing a sh*tty job with the anime the quality was just awful as it is now , 2 . The overall spamming of Extended Filler Seasons it pissed the fans very much they were raging at sight of any filler bc they were awful/made no sens with the canon/altering some plot points/ and 3. People hated the Asspulls and Retcons they just had enough of it with Kikitten's inconsistent writing so they left both anime and manga . So if you want an overall view about why the anime's ratings have been consistently going down than this are some of the reasons and more so now with The Ending we got and The Movie .
All of which I just repeated above, but as I said, the anime will likely manage to regain some of its lost momentum now that more of their budget is freed up from the overly expensive TL and once they return back to animating the manga and not their fictitious nonsense. They won't have as many viewers as before (probably anywhere from 10-30% worth of a viewer loss is my first guesstimate), but the casuals and anyone else still willing to watch will ensure some measure of success for the anime. Whatever disgruntled fans who choose to forswear the anime do, Pierrot will be guaranteed an audience because Naruto is still name-brand that attracts a large amount of people. Oh, and just keep in mind that not everyone shares in our discontent for the manga/anime's final results. It would be shocking to me if more than half agreed, actually.

There's plenty of times I wanted to drop Naruto, Ichigo-chan. Trust me, it was frustrating, but I had hope. Too bad the ending shattered it. T__T But it's motivated me to work on my fanfic

Yeah.
This one is basically more "gimmicky". But adding twists from other shows such as Supernatural, Charmed, and Buffy.
Oh and there's ships. BIG ones!
