LOL, M. Night being sent back to film school XD

That's not so surprising taking that his movies had been considered nothing but failures in the last eight years, I wonder what happened whit that talent that he used in creating great movies, such as the sixthy sense and sings, now, those were master pieces.

I WISH. I don't think he would since he's made a ton of money (even off his bad movies). Not to mention if Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are continuing to make their abominable parody movies, I'd say Shamylan has a good chance of doing a few more projects. In fact, he's supposed to be doing one right now with Will and Jaden Smith.

Can't believe they're actually willing to work with M. Night after all his catastrophic movies lately i.e. The Last Airbender >.>

Actually, I think The Last Airbender was his third highest grossing movie, behind Sixth Sense and Signs, respectively. Which is so surprising because I liked his other movies like Unbreakable and The Village and even The Lady in the Water. So even though it was basically a failure as a movie, it still made more than the other works he appeared to pu a hell of a lot more into.

But one critic put it best when he said that The Last Airbender was "utterly joyless." I've thought back to that description time and again. It took a bright, interesting story with wonderfully fleshed-out characters, and it completely stripped the joy out of it. So disappointing.

I think only the fan base made that movie profitable. And the same thing with the Will Smith movie. He's a money maker. So even if M. Night makes only a halfway decent movie, he still make big bucks off it.

Yeah but the fanbase was pretty much unanimous with how terrible "The Last Airbender" was. Trying to make a sequel won't help make money anymore. Azula is my favorite character in the series and I'm not about to watch him kill her. Not happening.

At this point, if an Airbender sequel gets made, I'll probably check it out on HBO just to see it for the trainwreck it would be, heck, I'll probably laugh at how bad he gets the story and characters among other things.

No doubt. It was unbelievably disappointing. I really left the movie theatre thinking either something went horribly wrong, with money or filming or actors, or that, in the end, he really hated this undertaking and just wanted to be done with the thing. I can't imagine he would ever go through with the sequels.

We have to hope that the company pulls the plug because he still wants a sequel.

I think they have. Getting a lower score on Rotten Tomatoes than DragonBall Evolution, plus outrage by fans...I'm sure that's a good sign that Nick is cutting its loses and is not going to make another Airbender movie by Night. I can't see a sequel making any money after that disaster. Of course, Night is downplaying it (well, more like ignoring it), but there is no way anyone would invest in a major blockbuster sequel when the first is so hated.

Yeah, but I think M. Night owns the movie rights to the series. So any sequels would have to come through him. But then again, he could farm it out to someone else and just collect a paycheck.

Nickelodeon would still have control over what goes on in the series though.

A part of me actually wants to see the sequels made just so it doesn't even make #10 at the box-office.

A sequel to the cartoon? Not the movie. That would be horrible.

We kind of already went over what we know so far of Legend of Korra, so it's really not that big of a deal by now.

Lol, I want to dub Korra as the Avatar Batwoman. Looking over a metropolis city plagued with crime and corruption? Sounds similar to Batman. Of course this is just for teh lulz, so don't take it seriously. XD
