As much as I love and adore Megumi, why she usually gotta follow Souma? I wanted Souma to see the first seat by himself...lol Oh well, I bet I won't be bother when I read the chapter and barely any Erina this time

I wanted to say something else about Megumi: The issue with Megumi in my eyes is that she is too dependent on Soma... I understand she wanted to help Soma out with the booth as a friend and as a repay for all the times he helped her out, but did she take any creative measurements? Not really. As far as I remember, she was the was the test object of Soma's food and did the cooking. Even Nikumi actually brought up some pretty good ideas during the Karaage arc. She and Soma were actually working together.
And no Erina Oh well, next week should focus on Soma meeting both (it better not be off-panel!!!).

Well it does look that way, which I guess might makes sense, Erina and Souma are supposed to be opposites, so it would make sense if their fathers were also very different in their methods of teaching. Though it could still be a rouse, and the father could still end up as a creepy daddy-con. Honestly with manga's you can never tell, the way father-daughter relationships are portrayed so many times is unpleasant to put it lightly. Also appears than Souma is heading in that direction later on, so fingers cross we do get a meeting between Souma and his future father in law.

 

The number one seat looks like a badarse, like Lancelot or Seigfried...who ever he looks like, looks pretty cool completely different to his first appearence...I hope we get to see him after the event, you just know he's one of those with a switch, that goes from looking cool to acting like everything is a pain.

Well Megumi does understand her reliance on Souma, infact it's been used as a growth spurt for her, even she's admitted it that she's over reliant on Souma, her success in the exams were her own skills that got her through, which showed her growth, I think this ark was to show the bond Souma has created and how they want to hlp him, dispite them being rivals.

 

I do agree with her lack of input in the build up process during the festival, though maybe that's the point, this was meant to be the dish Souma created on his own, and if Megumi was part of the creative process, Souma would have not accepted it as a dish he created that was capable of beating number 8. So her help was consisting of taste testing and service so Souma could concentrate on his dish exclusively. Or maybe I'm reading too much into this and the mangaka didn't put that muchthought into it.
