I still dont take that as anything other than Naruto having other priorities. 

 

I did not read that chapter, but did Naruto himself admit to no longer feeling that way about Sakura, or did we just skip to the epilogue ? The last time Naruto even hinted at his romantic affiliations, it was telling his father Sakura was his "more or less gf" and that he was working on it. 

 

You know how dum that comment is though, The Pain Arc literally ended a couple of weeks before the war started, by the time 699 roled out it had only been about a months of actual manga time. Plus soon as the Pain arc ended he was sent to a remote island to keep away from the war, did that then fought for two to three days. you measure actual time that passes in the manga not how many weeks it takes to show that period. One Piece literally has moments where it takes an entire year to cover an hour.

 

Edit: also to answer you other question, nope, 699 wasn't even in Narutos position, it was Sasuke, He not only doesn't get the girl, he doesn't even get to finish the manga focused on him focusing on him.

I will not hate on Naruto manga. Since I don't count this last two filler crap chapters as canon.

 

For me in short: Sakura healed their arms. Naruto brought the poal. Sakura kissed him while crying. Future we see Sakura as head of hospital. And in the end Naruto kissing Sakura with their children around them!

Yeah, I don't think I can ship NS anymore. Kishimoto dropped an atomic bomb on Sakura's character with this one. The only one to blame is Kishi, and he has made her out to be a true idiot. You can't blame Naruto for moving onto someone who actually loves him and is willing to risk their life for him. In the meantime, Sakura is still fangirling and childishly loving a guy like she's still twelve. On top of that, there is NOTHING about Sasuke's character that Sakura has ever stated to be attracted to. Just his looks and that makes this even more worse.

 

I can't imagine someone like that being paired with Naruto. So, nope. I'm done with this.

well guys i guess its officially over, we lost.  Congratulations NH/SS but even you guys have to admit this was poorly developed, i mean no matter how much you like the pairing you gotta admit kishi was so busy trying to string people along that it seemed like it was rushed and came out of nowhere. i mean even the NH/SS couples werent even shown together so theres always gonna be doubt, how can i accept it if there was no developement but also no real confirmation, and no resolution to the opposing pairings aka NS/SK. im calling BS on this crap, it was a sellout and an asspull and im incredibly dissapointed.

Now the chapter was even worse than i expected, every single person was soooooo OOC especially in chapter 699. it made no sense at all, why would sasuke all of the sudden start caring and having looks like that, not to mention naruto being oblivious to sakura. God naruto and sakura dont even get a resolution hell theres not even a mention of the POAL in this crap. And where the kitten is team taka (Asspulls, Asspulls everywhere). Kishi i gotta give you credit you completely ruined an entire series that i adored in 2 chapters, scratch that no just in one chapter that has to be a kittening record *Claps*     

Well guys its been a pleasure sailing with you guys i had a blast, and we didnt sink we must of fell through a portal in the bermuda triangle into an alternate dimension. you guys are awesome and were one big family so please lets all stay together at this site, and discuss other series and topics, im gonna stay here for sure so yall should join me. 

God i cant believe its over this is just too bizzarre of an ending for me to feel satisfied instead i feel used and cheated.

That and I thought she was going to be a way to tie Naruto and Sasuke together 5eva. Sasuke marries and Uzumaki and then has a child tying the two bloodlines together.  

Yeah. It seemed really odd to randomly give Karin a special Uzumaki bloodline, only for Sakura to bear his children.

From a outside prespective, yes. Everyone else seems pretty happy. NF, the Naruto subreddit, 4chan. All seem rather happy with the ending, and most knew how the shipping war was going to end since the pain arc. Of course it seems totally different when you surround yourself with people of the same opinion who constantly reiterate what you want to hear.

 

Sakura isn't even popular in Japan. In the most recent character polls near the start of the war she came up as number 12, behind freaking Iruka.
