1) This year's movie will not be an original story like they've been up until now - it will follow the original work.

That just probably means that the central plot for this movie will have to do with aspects of the original work, i.e. The Moon's Eye Plan. This will be the first movie that will use an already known threat instead of a completely new one, I think this is what they meant.

Yeah. I'm pretty confident this just means- this is only based off of manga canon material, not that it will be part of the canon story. ie this isn't just whatever crazy idea Pierrot comes up with, it's directly taken off of what has happened in the manga, then given a twist. Look at Tobi Madara's mask- it's the mask Konan destroyed right before the war arc started, not the one he's wearing in the war arc. That makes it look like even before Naruto and Sakura are taken into Tobi Madara's genjutsu it's not exactly current manga canon, but a variant Kishimoto made for the movie. Basically anything after Naruto rescues Sakura from Sasuke could be different in the "real world" the movie starts (and certainly has to end) in.

2) There is a reason why all the characters shown in the movie announcement poster (with the exception of Naruto, Minato and Kushina) have a different appearance - and it's connected with Tobi's jutsu

I don't think Sakura will be any different than her usual self. If she was gonna be affected by the jutsu then there would be no point in specifically mentioning her in the synopsis. It goes to say "Naruto and Sakura are attacked by the mysterious man's new jutsu" and near the end it also mentions something like "Conspiracies surround Naruto and Sakura...", why on earth mention her like that in the synopsis if it wasn't for the fact that she will be facing the same situation as Naruto?

I'm sure that Sakura is meant to face the problem and not just be a part of it like Kakashi, Hinata, Ino and the rest are. The synopsis would be very misleading if she was in the same situation as everybody else.

Yeah, my guess is it's another "manga spoiler" type situation, where Sakura was conveniently left out by either the translator or the original poster because one or both of them wants to pretend Sakura isn't a main character. This is why it's best not to rely on anything from 2 chan. Look at official sources for real news.

I think it's kind of weird that Pierrot sent Inoue (Kakashi's seiyuu) along with Junko (Naruto's seiyuu) not Chie (Sakura's seiyuu) though, considering Kakashi is just going to be a support character this movie.

It has become annoying and stupid with the fandoms hatred over Sakura. She is probably the tsundere who has received the most flames and bashing (after Akane from Ranma 1/2) sheesh give it a rest people it's only a manga, you think it will be the end of the world if she gets together with Naruto.

seriously?? i dont see why people hated akane?? ranma was a jerk!!(doesnt mean i didnt like him) every episode he just HAS to upset akane!

it was still funny though!!

if sakura was a boy im sure she wouldnt get as much hate as she does as a girl.

some people just hate an outspoken girl....thats why they think hinata is oh so perfect.

Having been in both fandoms while the series was ongoing I have to say Sakura has received a lot more vicious bashing than Akane. Maybe with the younger fans many years after the series ended who don't seem to understand the tsundere character type at all Akane I guess would get more since she's a full blown tsundere- set the character type in fact.

Kaori of City Hunter would be Akane's direct predecessor, but she wasn't quite a full tsundere, although the "violent correcting" of the male character's pervertedness is completely developed. While the series was ongoing there was some similar Kaori bashing and Saeko worshipping it wasn't at the insane level we've seen in the Naruto fandom with the Sakura bashing versus the Hinata worshipping. In Ranma 1/2 fandom it was Akane bashing, Shampoo worshipping- even though neither Shampoo or Saeko were the submissive type that Hinata is. And Shampoo was hardly any less "violent" than Akane, plus she was seriously manipulative to boot- definitely a more negative character. Saeko was also seriously manipulative, but less "violent" than Kaori, but in her case I think it was pure character design that made her the favorite over Kaori. Saeko was a blatantly sexy adult character, where Kaori was a bit tomboyish- strong willed, hot tempered, with a short, boyish hairstyle (while Saeko's was long and feminine), more subtle with her makeup, if she wore it at all, had a more youthful, less sexy style of dress- not really experienced with being sexy at all before she meets Ryo, just barely into adulthood- 20 years old. However, also contrary to the soon to become cliche characteristic of the tsundere Kaori was a perfect decent cook. She made Ryo and her meals, etc... (Oh and City Hunter appeared in Shonen Jump- from 1985-1992. So Kishimoto may have looked at it while he was trying to create Sakura's character, so while she would be completely his own creation, she would also loosely fit into the general Jump type for main female character, female romantic lead... what makes me think that was that Kishmoto mentioned that when he was creating Naruto he did look over past Jump manga to get a real feel for the "Jump type" characters. Kaori also had a similar type intense compassion for other as Sakura did- even breaking down in tears like Sakura does. So Kaori may be part of Sakura's character foundation.)

After her first revulsion at Ryo's initial perverted come ons to her, and after she became his business partner and he made his mind think of her as his deceased partner's little sister and thus rigidly tried to keep himself from responding to her in a perverted way, Kaori started getting seriously attracted to Ryo and at times tried to get him to outright respond to her in private in a perverted way- and did briefly succeed from time to time. Their interactions also took on a romantic vibe as the series went on- didn't stop him from lewd skirt chasing other women though- often women who didn't want that kind of attention at all, which Kaori "violently" made sure Ryo couldn't continue.

Kaori had only one real romantic rival with Ryo, a woman Ryo's age who was police detective- Saeko. Saeko, although when she was younger she was romantically attracted to both Ryo and Kaori's older brother Hideyuki, and Ryo had a major crush on her (and still seriously lusts after her during the series) by the time we see her in the series it's implied she had decided who she was really in love with was Hideyuki- right before he was killed. She was going to tell Hideyuki that, but he got killed before she could. She loves to play off of Ryo's lust for her to get him to do things for her. She's still a bit attracted to him, but not in a serious romantic way. Ryo eventually seems to get that, but that doesn't stop him from still hoping she'll go through with her teasing promise to have sex with him for all the things he's done for her. In contrast, Ryo's approach to Kaori becomes protective/romantic.

Oh and it's strongly hinted at the end of City Hunter that Ryo and Kaori got married in case you are curious.

Oh, the thing Codus found promoting of the TV appearence of Naruto and Kakashi's voice actors- apparently the main purpose of their appearance was to promote this:

Not surprised she visited the park, but for some reason Pierrot didn't send her to the interview, that's what I was commenting on. On Pierrot's website it says just Junko and Inoue were interviewed for that show they appeared on May 5th.

Where did you find those pictures, by the way? I'd really like to see more of Chie visiting the park, since of course, we won't get to see it ourselves.

Not surprising all the fan favourites are there. Especially with Jiraiya and Killer Bee. I'm thinking those two are there to attract international fans since they're really big in the west.

Don't know about the later, since it looks to be a variant timeline (don't drive yourself crazy trying to fit into manga canon continuity- I just don't think it will be, just a variant Kishimoto is having fun playing out- then really taking it into crazy territory in the genjutsu). We may instead get a vague hint by Naruto and Sakura's dialogue before Tobi Madara attacks them. It sounds like it's post Pain's attack on Konoha though since there was a bit in an early spoiler about Naruto knowing the 4th Hokage is his father. It didn't mention he knew his mother's name.

Oh and have to say one point from the 2 chan spoilers you found. If the 2 chan person stated that part truthfully- looks like Tobi Madara has a mighty pervy side, with what he turns Hinata into. (if the real Naruto world Hinata found out about that she'd die of shame.)

Yeah it's stated on naruto-movie.com that this is the first run of advance tickets, and yes, the main characters on the ticket are Naruto, Sakura and Minato. It's listed that way on the front page of naruto-movie.com too. The second run of advance tickets come out on June 30.

And the pictures above with the same text is also on naruto-movie-com website as well. They've had the page up with Itachi on it up for a while, the Naruto page is more recent- here's the link to the website, click on the link that says "Uzumaki Naruto wa" in kana to get to the newer Naruto page.
