About the relationship, while I do have to read the comic still, what happens in the relationship? I wish I have time to read. I'll make time soon.

They call each other sweetie like all the time, its really weird and annoying. I understand they are a couple now but they are 13 and don't need to be calling each other sweetie lol It just feels so forced like 'oh we have to show that they are a couple' and just throw it in your face.

Hm, yeah, I know what you mean. If anything, it should be the same as before only you got new perks such as kiss, lovely date, and others. Yeah, name calling is one, but it's a bit mushy so it sounds odd. I agree with you.

I find it very unusual that the crowd was waiting for the twins but not the avatar.

Yeah, I agree that the 'sweetie' thing is really cheesy, and that's coming from an Aang/Katara shipper. And actually in the comic Aang is fourteen, so that would make Katara sixteen or almost sixteen, since she's about two years older.

Bolin and Eska is a funny pair. They're so polar opposites. I guess Eska is this series' Mai. 

 

They jumped right into the action. There was a lot that went on in these first two episodes. I mean the bit about Korra's dad... wow. Kind of a big thing to hide. Also, is it because they've breached into the world that bending has an affect on them. Wasn't there that polar bear spirit in Series 1, where Aang was unable to physically touch it and that's why he had to go into the spirit world?

LOK book 2

Cons? let's see~

-Korra was a bratty jerk
-Mako has been reduced to the "Avatar's BF" (which could be an improvement that's up to you)
- Bolin is nothing but comedy relief
- Eska scares me and I want her nowhere near Bolin (unhealthy relationship much)
-Does Desna even speak?
-Korra's Uncle is so obviously a villain
-Is Korra whining about people telling her what to do when she doesn't even listen to them in the first place??
-Makorra doesn't seem like it'll last long with the way they bicker (which could be a pro)
-don't like the animation and the way it flows.....except for 1 fight scene
-Asami only appeared twice

Pros~

-Asami struggling to get her company back up (continuity!)
-Asami only asking Bolin for help (I wouldn't want Korra or Mako's help either)
-Tenzin and his siblings were perfect
-Jinora and her story seems interesting!
............yea.....that's it.

Thoughts on first two episodes

I hate to say this, but I'm disappointed so far.

Positives first, the animation is fantastic, the writing is fine and the sections with the siblings is great to watch. But that's about all I've enjoyed.

I have a problem really getting into these characters. Korra continues to annoy me with her attitude. I don't feel like she's grown as a person much, she still comes off as a brat to me.

Mako feels so bland. I'm just really bored with him right now. As for Bolin, I hate how he is just written as only a comic relief character.

I remember in A:TLA, Sokka was also the comic relief character, however, when the guy put his game face on, he was a bad MF. Bolin just seems to bumble around.

And now they shove in this romantic relationship with the character Eska, which so far just seems like more of an attempt at humor than anything else.

Also, why is Asami so underused now? Is she a main character still or not?

I get this season is only two episodes in and that the creators may not have the range of opportunities they had with A:TLA, but I just find myself not enjoying what directions they take the characters here.

Hoping that it will improve.

Well its friday, I'm excited to see what comes up this week. I'm awaiting the episodes with Steven Yun as Wan the first Avatar. That episode looks very interested.

Well it looks like some kataangers are having a problem with aang not taking care of his kids in a equal matter. Im just going to wait until the relation between aang and his kids gets more elaborated.Then i'll make my judgement. 

 

Well, I didn't watch it cause I don't want to spoil myself. But from what you said, it sounds like something about Aang not being very present in his childrens' lives? I hope it's not as bad as it sounds, since I am a Katara/Aang shipper and also I don't want to see them screw up the pairing the way they did with Korra/Mako, but I'm not going to jump to conclusions. Though I did always wonder why Tenzin referred to him as 'Aang' rather than as his father, I kind of assumed it was just out of respect but it seems it maybe more complicated than that.

I was pretty much thinking the same thing, but it really wasn't as bad as I was envisioning. Aang favored Tenzin, and while that's a little disappointing, at the same time I like that Aang is shown to be fallible, just like any other human being. And I'm positive it's something we'll see resolved in this season, since it was emphasized so much. Honestly, the highlight of this series has been seeing this dysfunctional relationship between Tenzin and his siblings and it's what I'm looking forward to seeing more of most.

AANG a neglectful father???! AANG?! Nope I won't believe cause it makes no sense. Sure he might want to personally train Tenzin and take him to temples alone....but taking him on vacations without his other children???!!! THAT'S NOT AANG!! THAT WILL NEVER BE AANG! and seriously no one can convince me otherwise so don't even try changing my opinion cause it most likely won't work (fair warning).

Did Mako just give Bolin advice about breaking up with girls???? MAKO!? that dude that dragged along 2 chicks??! and did he seriously call Asami a leech?! He better not have....Asami was a perfect Girlfriend you bland JERK!

Lastly....DANG!! can Kya and Bumi be any more disrespectful to their DEAD father?!! like seriously!?? Tenzin was the youngest child and he was born waay later!? I find it hard to believe Kya and Bumi didn't get any Daddy love! COME ON!!

Good to know Bolin is getting out of his depressing relationship with Eska....I could have told you that wouldn't have worked a mile away!

......guys...I'm sorry the joy and wonder of Korra is seriously zapped outta me...I just lost the ability to love it. I notice more negative things with it than positive...which is unfair to the show (kinda...not really)
but honestly I can't see anything else when they refuse to solve the elephants in the room.
