lets put it this way, we see dragon ball characters work together more in movies or a few times in manga than we ever see naruto characters working together, even the broly movies had more teamwork than naruto ever did heck in the meta cooler movie vegeta and goku were partly working together for once, without involving fusion, and in fusion reborn they worked together against janemba before finally deciding they couldn't win unless they fused. still more teamwork than we ever got here....
also I agree, the anime did mislead ALOT of people, they do fanservice so much in the anime it tarnishes the original source and it's borderline stupidity....
I used DBZ as an example but also because it is a major influence in how shounen battle go down. It is normally a one on one honor duel bout with everyone else just watching and explaining anything to the "Watson." So they readers can understand what is going on. (this even happens in shounen manga that aren't battle manga) Even in the manga.
The thing is. It is fine if DBZ don't have team ups because they are "fighters." Combat for them is testing there skills against strong opponents. Everyone in the group and hopefully the audience knows this. So we know why they don't interfere. So if they have to team up to take someone down it just goes to show how much of a threat that enemy is.
But the ninjas are a military organization that in-theory train their ninjas to work in teams. So the norm should be them working in a group to take down their enemy. And if they have to fight one on one. Then it should be set up for the readers to understand the potential danger this is for the character. Because they don't have other to work off of and cover any weakness they have and have to stand on their own against a powerful opponent. Instead it the standard one on one bouts where everyone else are just commenting on the fight. The only time they work together is against a powerful opponent and even this it more like it just turns showing off their abilities to look cool instead of actually working together.
The thing is if Naruto didn't have that moral about team work it wouldn't matter. It would just be another standard battle manga. That just does that standards for battle manga. But because he made it have that moral about team work. Him not having them is now failing to implement what is suppose to be a major part even core of his story.
Statement: It's thanks to anime that people are misled to the actual content (manga), such as pairing moments that didn't happen, more fighting that is more in-line with taijutsu, and characters that appear to be more than the original self. Because of them, people become a much hardcore fan than what it perhaps could have been toned down, to the point they see it as the greatest series ever.
Agree or disagree?
Does anyone actually think this is the greatest series ever? But yeah it is the anime fault for over showing hinata to soon. Then falling for her and over hyping her till the point that during that two year of filler before shippuden she and kiba were his most common companions.
They also did a lot of flanderizing characters they stripped down hinata into their dream sex doll, over played Sakura hitting Naruto, overdid Naruto love of ramen, and so much more.
