Lol yeah. I mean he added in that dramatic Sakura/Sasuke thing when he left the village, the Hinata's confession, the Sakuras confession, all of Sakura/Naruto's flirts and moments, I mean if you'd ask me, he puts a great deal of romantic drama in it.

kishi seems to like the 3 friends type of relationship....

whenever there are 3 childhood friends there always seems to be love in it XD


but beside that. i hear this argument all the time.....

that naruto likes sakura....but sakura doesnt like naruto...so naruto should move on.....(hinata)

I agree with you, However imo Sakura still has lingering feelings for Sasuke. As we all know Kishimoto is big on development, He can turn a bad character into a good one with good reasons and good development. Example See Itachi. For that reason I think Sakura is shifting from Sasuke to Naruto. Such as just before Naruto arrived to save her form the Husband and wife Zetsus, Sakura is having some thought. This was after The wife said, please save him and if you don't I will die here as well etc. This pointed to Naruto and Sakura's relation a lot to me. Naruto is constantly helping and saving Sakura. He even took a poisoned Kunai for he (don't know whether it was intentional or not). Sakura can't just suddenly leave Sasuke all at once, it makes no sense and it shows Kishimoto as a bad writer. He has to slowly work at it. Also it is in Kishi's interest to do it slowly, the recent polls of favorite Naruto couples stand at.

Ah, this is the Japanese web hits results. I'm wondering if it's not that current though, since there no Minakush numbers- which should certainly show up. (I'd expect a few with Hiruzen too since we got some flashbacks of him and his age peers when they were young and perhaps even a few hits for Hashirama and Mito as well)

Interesting though, no hits for the crack pairing of Naruto and Ino which seems to have some following in the west. Surprising that LeeSaku was so high up amongst Japanese fans as it's a distinctly tiny number in the west. I've meet a couple of them online- there was even one of them that was a member of Heaven and Earth at one time. (He shipped both Narusaku and Leesaku, liked Leesaku better but was okay if it ended up Narusaku.)

Yeah, Naruto doesn't come off well in that scene, he looks really hypocritical considering how he was still lying to himself about Sasuke.

And no, Naruto doesn't at all reject that Sakura has romantic feelings for him, he had been in such denial "lying to himself" about Sakura's obvious romantic feelings for him that he's surprised, and has to mental adjust to it. What he was mad about was he knew Sakura had mentally convinced herself that she had thrown out every bit of feeling and even the old team mate bond and Naruto knew she was fooling herself.

Naruto's attitude is a bit flippant after he accepts what he thinks is the truth that Sakura is in love with both himself and Sasuke, because he's still irritated about her being in denial about her emotional bond to Sasuke.

But once Sai gives him a mild rebuke, his reaction shows that he has accepted Sakura is in love with him. His own denial about how things have changed takes a shattered mental image of 12 year old Sasuke fangirl Sakura and of Team 7 with that image of Sakura and of a Sasuke that is long gone too.

Naruto's words and behavior when he rescues her from Sasuke. And even more overtly, Naruto's mental image of her (and the rest of the Konoha 11) in chapter 505, page 2 shows an open acceptance of Sakura's romantic feelings for him.

Now, if Naruto would finally start flirting with Sakura again...

War's the problem. Well Of course Naruto would be hypocritical about Sasuke because He just heard the girl whom he thought still had an feelings for Sasuke, Their old teammate denouncing her bond to the latter,which was a shock because that saying that she not is is rejecting him as a romantic interest but as a friend/comrade as well which is hurtful to Naruto. And to the general public Naruto Rejected Sakura because They're saying her confession was a huge controversy because it raises the question: Was she being honest about confessing. Although if they ACTUALLY thought about it They'd know she had NO reason to Lie because then she might as well not confess at all and just tell him whats she needs to tell him and get her goal over with.

Why is that indeed? Either Kishi just plain forgot about that or is just intentionally waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger on the captivating high end point on the Naruto and Sakura relationship.

While we're waiting for that, all right, you know let's just say for a moment that Naruhina and sasuSaku is canon, then. If that would be the case, then what would be the dynamic between Naruto and Sakura from that point on? Just two friends who's probably going to ask each other for relationship help?

Now if that was the case, wouldn't they just cut the middle and be in a relationship with each other and know that the other is always going to help them out in anything?

They spend much more time together than before which speaks VOLUMES of their relationship. It's only that they just talk about Sasuke rather than their own feelings cause he's the reason why the became closer in the first place, but That's okay I see a GOOD old heart to heart Before Naruto fights Sasuke anyway

What the hell? SasuSaku is the most popular? That makes no sense x_x It'd make more sense if even NaruHina was more popular because that has a chance of happening at least, no matter how slim. SasuSaku might as well be on its deathbed by now, and it's sad that most people don't see this.

I am glad that NaruSaku is high, though. Still, it shocks me that SasuSaku, the abusive, no-sided relationship (considering that Sakura's even ashamed of her feelings for him now) is so freaking high.

Well, when did this poll came out? I honestly don't think that Kishi is going to give in to a poll like this, because he's playing into his way and motive of building the end points of the story and is not going to let anything else, other than his thoughts and people he can rely on with the creative process, influence the flow of the series, which includes the end pairing/couple.

How the heck is Kaka/Iru so popular? I understand Sasu/Naru, since that's the bond Kishi puts the most emphasis on, but how many times have Kakashi and Iruka even interacted? I mean, geez, it's twice as popular as Sasu/Naru, and five times as popular as the highest ranked hetero pairing. I REALLY don't understand yaio fans.

Other than that, I guess I already knew that Sasu/Saku was more popular in Japan than Naru/Saku, but I'm surprised at how low Naru/Hina is. It's funny, since in the Western fandom, at least based on what I've seen on forums, comment boards, and art sites, it looks like N/H and S/S are switched around. But I suppose it's hard to gauge serious popularity when so many people side-ship or crack-ship.

Like ciardha though, I'm also curious when this hit count was measured. I'd think Mina/Kushi would at least make the list. Plus, I'm curious how the events in the Iron Counry Arc may have affected the Japanese shipping fandoms, if this really was taken before then.

The only reason I think SasuSaku may happen is because of the the mentality of the Japanese teens when it comes to this couple and Kishi has made it clear that he is very fun of Sasuke character if you read true the manga Sasuke is the character that get a lot of color page that says a lot, beside Japanese teens for some reason they love dramatic romance, big brea*t characters and emo cool goy I see that in many Anime and this Poll is evidence that I'm not wrong.

And if you read true mi replays there is not a single moment I ever say that she don't like Sasuke anymore, that's way she still get so much heat (hate) plus after 469 she has not think about Naruto, but in 540 she still thinking that she has someone and that someone is Sasuke, that still bother me true this date. Why Sakura Why?

Nice to see NH is loosing badly.
Oh, and I think Kishi has actually beenworkng on Sakuras feeling forSasuke, if you look at a lot of the chapters shes been evengoing as far as lashing out at sasuke in defence of naruto.

Though if you think about it, Zetsu's basically a plant, but he's in a few pairings up there. Maybe if/when Akamaru learns to talk (like Kuromaru, Tsume's partner), he'll be more popular in the pairing world. Hopefully not, though.

@Zeref there is no "If" in the story
@Fenris i think she loves him , she cound't kill him and she still has feelings for him her love is genuine .

i cant say if sakura will end up with sasuke or naruto because of her feelings , naruto has the advantage because he is growing in power and personality , sasuke is becoming more evil as the time passes we just have to wait and see.
