You and me both. This is getting nonsense. Oh well, if someone says Sakura is like Kushina, whether it's from Naruto, Kuruma, or even Minato, then it's game over. No more excuses.

Oh my god, I want to die if that seriously happen. You know what's funny and sad in a way? I remember the ads for this movie released and many fans in here were sad and like hope for the best that the movie has more than what we see from ads. When the movie released, the other side just said "meh filler". Do you see the difference? At least we will admit defeat, while others are like "Who we talking about?" Thought I should post this here...

So a lot of NaruSaku theories started pouring in about how this movie is obvious evidence that they will become canon. I guess I missed it somewhere, because I simply didn’t see it. Their interactions were the same as they always are. Save for him saving her life, but if we’re being honest, he does that all the time in their world too.[/b] (Don’t get me started on the amount of times she needs to be saved, even though she supposedly got exceedingly stronger in shippuden. Like, come on, give me a break.) I wasn’t even remotely surprised when she got captured, she always gets captured.[/b]
Many people also swear on their lives that MinaKushi parallels are everywhere and then some. But I still stand by the idea that this parallel doesn’t even exist. Sakura is not a parallel of Kushina because Naruto is just like his mother. So in theory if this parallel was to be valid, he would need to meet someone more with a personality like Minato but I digress

The level of denial and blatant ignorance of plot events is just...ugh.

I have two things to say about this post.

They're desperate that they say it's not canon even if Kishi wrote the story of the movie. It may be true but this is called" author's intent" if Kishi wants to he can add elements from the movie in his manga. The parallels, the NS bonding it's all canon from the manga brought to the movie they can say whatever they like but the truth is their pairings got trolled big time by Kishi (yet again ).

When Kishi actually does add elements from the movie into his manga, then perhaps it will hold some more weight. Regardless of "author intent," if it's not exemplified within the manga itself, then it lacks clout in any canon argument.
For example, if Kishi himself states that he will try to portray Sakura as more of a heroine, but has failed to do so effectively within the actual story as of yet, we cannot simply use his empty words to justify her development as a heroine.

I understand. Still, why would many SS/NH fans go against this when they were clearly going for BEFORE the movie was released. In all honestly, if the movie did have SS/NH, I would accept it. Will it suck to me? Yeah, but the movie, if the same like how it works here, will still be great. A lot of people forced themselves to dislike the movie because of those reasons and trust me, I know. I know NF forums don't mean the world but there were tons of them that literally change mind. Don't believe me? Well if you have time in the world to care, I can share the thread. Hell, even a NH fan was asking constantly if the spoilers were legit. I'm not pointing you out, don't get me wrong. It's just that why not accept it. We all should look at the movie as a general fan, not pairing fan. That's how I do it. People can still dislike the movie, but the reason should be understandable rather than playing favorite.

I'd agree with you. However, I was not part of the fandom until quite recently, and so I would not know the attitudes surrounding the advertisement & release of the movie. I think I should like to see that thread, thanks.

Oh ok. That's not a problem. Yeah, it was intense, here and there. I remain neutral while fandoms like NS/NH/SS were going at it. You can see my comments and I am 100% myself. I do make predictions, but other than that, I don't break down or whatever. It was good that you kept it calm. I respect that. People should not change mind, just accept. I am aware there may be NS fans doing what others do, so I'm not making NS fans high and mighty. I'm only telling my experience in NF, YouTube, and here. I can't imagine tumblr but thankfully, I didn't know.

Fun fact: A Sasuke fangirl spent tons of movie to see the movie in Japan, only to be devastated.

@Crimson: I wonder If we can turn you into a NaruSaku fan. Most NaruHina fans deny the simple facts regarding the manga like Sakura=Kushina, but I believe it is partly because it hurts to know deep down that something you love is wrong, or can't happen. However, since you're a new fan of NaruHina, you might be able to be changed before the denial part of being a NaruHina fan fully takes you in. Sorry if I offended you, but I think all of us here have seen the denial coming from the NaruHina and SasuSaku fandoms TOO MUCH.

example for NH: We don't care if Kushina said pick someone like herself, Naruto will go for a girl like his father. That is Hinata....

example for SS: Sakura will love Sasuke in the end. Makes complete sense. I mean, I love when guys try to kill me. This pairing will not make Sakura a complete fail at all. Making this pairing will make Sakura happy, because she can finally be with the guy she loved for... looks, and.... uuhhhh.... oh yeah, popularity.

It's getting really painful for me to read people talking bad about how Sakura was portrayed in this movie. People are saying she wanted to return to the real world when she began to feel sad, without even worrying about Naruto .. when in fact what really happened is that she decided to stay as much as they could in this world genjutsu just because he was happy ..

where people get that wrong idea?! they haven't seen the movie or they are purposely twisting the movie to have a reason to bash Sakura?!

and of course when they find nothing, they just focus on that Sakura shown at the beginning of the movie, that one who is upset with her parents an and pretend not seen the rest of the movie and how she realized she was wrong and fully supports/protect Naruto.

Sigh. I didn't see the movie but it's very clear to me. I think I'll explain it later. I didn't see the movie but again, saw a good 90% of it. Hey, can't blame me, too much NS.

Speaking of denial:

I'd think it applies to all pairing fanbases, wouldn't you?

And no, I am by nature an inherent NH fan. Nothing short of NS becoming canon can change me, unfortunately.

You know, it's great to meet you here. I have another NH fan, but he/she can rowdy and tends to bash NS a lot to no end. But I respect that person. Anyway, you seem like a collective NH fan and seeing you here is a breath of fresh air.

Depending on how well developed NS is by the point at which it becomes canon, I will either retain my views or cease to exist within the Naruto fanbase.

i think ns is well developed, too good that it need to put side line after kage summit arc.

but that just my opinion
