Thought I should post this here...

So a lot of NaruSaku theories started pouring in about how this movie is obvious evidence that they will become canon. I guess I missed it somewhere, because I simply didn’t see it. Their interactions were the same as they always are. Save for him saving her life, but if we’re being honest, he does that all the time in their world too. (Don’t get me started on the amount of times she needs to be saved, even though she supposedly got exceedingly stronger in shippuden. Like, come on, give me a break.) I wasn’t even remotely surprised when she got captured, she always gets captured.
Many people also swear on their lives that MinaKushi parallels are everywhere and then some. But I still stand by the idea that this parallel doesn’t even exist. Sakura is not a parallel of Kushina because Naruto is just like his mother. So in theory if this parallel was to be valid, he would need to meet someone more with a personality like Minato but I digress.

The level of denial and blatant ignorance of plot events is just...ugh. facepalm.png

Denial? Maybe about the parallels but the poster definitely acknowledged that NaruSaku is a pretty common theme in the manga which is just more pronounced in the movie.

I wonder if this person thinks Hinata would somehow not need help because she's magical moe boob princess.

Nah I'm sure they would say it is romantic that Naruto saves Hinata and are alright with her being a damsel in distress because she's innocent and cute. dry.gif

Sigh. Sadly that is true. I don't need to explain why this movie is NS heaven film.

I'm pretty sure in part 1 even Kakashi realizes that, like Naruto, Sakura's stubborn and doesn't like to lose (like in her fight against Ino). Plus they've been shown to have similar reactions to particular things, were both called annoying, and are both sort of out going. And since Naruto ---> Kushina, I can see why someone could argue Sakura---> Kushina, especially with the similarities in their childhood. What's debatable is how significant it is. *sigh* Some people. dry.gif

When fans try to brush off stuff like these:

450 hug./ It didn't mean anything
Yamato's speech. He didn't know Sasuke and he wasn't referring to love.
Naruto' feelings. He has not thought about them because by now he is moving on.
Naruto and Sakura bond and development. I was always about Sasuke.
JiraTsu. with DanTsu.
MinaKushi. It's not similar to NS at all.
Sakura's behavior and growing affection. Sakura only loves Sasuke and will never stop loving him.

Then you know they are is desperate need of finding reasons to validated there pairing while trying to ignore the rival pairing.

This makes me question: when did the Minato = Hinata crap started: before or after Kushina's infamous words?

It's after Kushina's words from what I know and saw. Since Kushina is an obvious Sakura, they began to think of stuff related from Hinata to Kushina.

If you ask me, I really don't know how they came up with this argument !!!

That's desperate. Honestly, if they connect Kushina to Sakura, it's pretty much game over. Until then, we wait and see.

I'm just guessing but my gut says it was definitely after.

The Minato=Hinata surely came as a desperate counter argument against the Kushina=Sakura talk that kept spreading around.

Fans know that if the parallels do hold some ground the obvious winner will be Kushina=Sakura. Road to Ninja even teased Sakura and Kushina finding themselves in the same position when abducted by Tobi, both were tied up with the same type of chakra ropes.

The Anti-NS deep down know that Kushina=Sakura, but will try to deny it by using their own made up theories that could potentially involve Hinata. They do it in a desperate attempt to find peace of mind. I guess when you like a pairing so much it becomes understandable, just like when we try to discuss how Hinata couldn't possibly be Naruto's romantic interest. But I'm sure that a neutral fan could notice how according to the story's themes NS has a clear edge on NH.

The parallels alone connect Sakura all over the place in the story. First with Tsunade, then with Rin, and later with Kushina. You could even try to make a case about also including Mito since she's Tsunade's grandmother, but until we see more of her personality and how it relates to Hashirama that one is still weak.

What Sakura has that Hinata lacks is relevance in the grand scheme of things. Hinata can come into contact with Naruto's story from time to time, just like any other side character would, but she's not a main element of his story. Sakura, on the other hand, is one just by her belonging to Team 7, whether people want to accept that or not.

You got a lot of replies from this already but let me tell you it was definitely after Kushina's statement. Sakura=Kushina and Hinata=Weirdo was the most blatant hint at the time and the one a lot of NS fans, including myself, used on the forums in debates. So in order to evade this, some NH fans tried to look deeper into Kushina's words to find something to link Hinata and Kushina together with while either neglecting the "Weirdo" aspect, or even trying to associate it more to Sakura. Some would use fragile arguments like "both females having long hair", "both females being loving and motherly" and "both male counterparts having blond hair", to try to link Hinata to Kushina, while others opted for a stronger position in trying to link her to Minato as both apparently being "calm and cool while Naruto and Kushina were brash and vulgar". I don't think I need to explain to you why I think Hinata being "calm and cool" is BS. dry.gif Anyway, it started on manga website forums and then moved over to Youtube and Deviantart where it became a popularized by the NaruHina fanclubs.

Ah I see. That makes sense...in terms on why it all began. But that's the problem. She said her, not Minato. How the hell we jumped from Kushina to Minato. That's desperate beyond desperate if I ever saw one. That's just sad. I am surprised they didn't do anything about the other parallels though I understand MinaKushi is like worth the highest points of them all. Still, it's too clear on the characteristics and backgrounds. I can honestly see NaruSaku in that manga cover with Naruto's family, only well with NaruSaku.

Also this is one of the reasons why i dislike their fandom, seems to me that they dont care too much on analyzing the fact by themselves, it's a show of set phrases and thinking that just come with CTRL + C/CTRL +V some even try to put what they think but end up doing double standards, basically is "both females being loving and motherly" and end up with "deal with it" or better almost all rants end up with "Deal with It".

Yeah, I've often find that many NH fans focus more on the seeing than thinking. Though the fandom is big so I may just be more open to seeing the negative side.

I think those are the arguments I hate the most. Yamato doesn't need to see the relationship between Sakura and Sasuke in order to determine how Sakura feels for Naruto dry.gif. It's almost like if they're saying a grown man like Yamato knows nothing about love and that Sasuke and Sakura need to show them the proper way in how to do it, like trying to kill each other because of that same love sleep.gif

I think this is the worst one by far out of the ones I picked, because somehow they seem to ignore Sai's flashback and the fact that Sakura hasn't thought about her love for Sasuke for a good while either, until recently that is. So what the???? This can also be tied into that last argument about Sakura only loving Sasuke and will never stop loving him. You can't even use the duration of the love argument to support this point because Naruto has loved Sakura for just as long, yet somehow it's said that he's going to be the one to get over her instead of her getting over Sasuke, especially after being given many reasons to do so. That's just so much.... (kruemelmonsteryn0.gif I'm not even going to finish that sentence).

Oh my lord the third one. facepalm.png I'm not even going to deal with that one because it's obvious that certain moments would have to be ignored in order for it to be true.

Arguing that the similarities between MinaKushi and NS are not significant is one thing that can be done, but denying the similarities between these two relationships is another. wow.gif Man...I really hate all of these arguments with a passion msmack.gif

You and me both. This is getting nonsense. Oh well, if someone says Sakura is like Kushina, whether it's from Naruto, Kuruma, or even Minato, then it's game over. No more excuses.
