The biggest thing concerning me with NS vs NH is the fact that very early in part 1, Naruto says he likes people like Hinata, and then in part 2, Naruto says he hates people who lie to themselves to Sakura. Its like, the build up to why Naruto stops liking Sakura, and decides to like Hianta instead. Then again, that would mean Naruto would have to hate the main heroine forever, and as we can see, he still loves Sakura. Still, I think its worth making a debate of this in the NaruSaku debate thread.

Any thoughts to this?

I agree -My reply to all of this is something i've said before, but it makes sense so instead of going through the trouble of replying with a whole new thinngggg....

the reasons for liking SasuSaku at the moment are about as shallow as Sasuke's fangirls

I worry about this too, the only thing is, (I know it was filler..) episode 235 which is following the footsteps of the manga, not going in a entire different direction, shows that Naruto is still interested in Sakura and wants to win her over. Besides that, though. Naruto is clearly uncomfortable around Hinata and seems clearly bored, http://i4.mangareade...uto-1566178.jpg He doesn't blush, either - only when Hinata starts describing Naruto as a proud failure, but Naruto hadn't been told that in his entire life. If Hinata han't spoke up again the conversation would of went dead. Plus I find it funny, when the translation is actually: "I kinda like people like you!" Not the usual "I really like you!" "Or "I love people like you'' I seem to find on translations...

I'm not good at debating this one We need Boom or Ciardha or Rocket-san or another pro-debater xD

You know, that's a good observation, right there and to be fair and honest, I don't have a very well dissertation that contradicts those thoughts but, as always, the positive dynamics between Naruto and Sakura is bigger than the positive dynamics between Naruto and Hinata and that's probably because of the viewpoints on how they perceive the other.

In Naruto's pov, he always perceive Sakura as a person though who sometimes is not opening much, like Naruto, in terms of intimate feelings, aside from the subtle/playful hints from the beginning of part two, who can always be there for him and be supportive in an active or non active role. And as for Hinata, he just perceive her as a good comrade and good acquaintance, not friend since that requires non-awkward and opening interactions.

On the flip side, Sakura sees him as a great person, albeit annoying, hyper, and perverted and she's got these feelings for him and don't know how to, honestly and properly, let them out in a manner that suits her. And Hinata sees him as a guy who she admires for, you know, "overcoming the odds" and shut the critics down for being a failure, but I don't think that translates well into intimate feelings, imo.

As usual, what I have above probably doesn't make sense and if what I have above doesn't suit you guys' fancy, then my comments should be well disregarded. I probably just said the above stuff, just to reassure myself that everything that's going on in the pairings situation is sound and logical.

I agree completey Anguyen You're completely right. He only views his "bond" with Hinata as a comrade, nothing more. Part 2 was cool when it started, (still is of course.) how it started right off the bat with Sakura flirting with Naruto and Naruto not understanding what she meant by her advances towards him.

Hinata's not that positive, actually. He did have to cheer her up in a recent chapter. Although i'm pretty positive that was the end of all NH. He never said anything like "we'll talk later" or anything, it was just short and sweet to cheer her up for her thinking that she was weak, nothing romantic about it, no subtle hints, just nothing but a thank you for saving him. Trying to save him.

Wow, actually, that's a great way to look at both of the pairings. (SS and NH.)
They were both thank yous and a ending of possibilities for a relationship to form, and for a new relationship to grow (NS). Sort of like re-potting plants.

I actually think that's what Kishi was intending by making both of those scenes. It actually makes sense, too. To shatter the possibilties of a relationship forming between the two, yet making it an opening for NS to form.

Naruto obviously wasn't implying anything romantic, he was simply taking the first step in giving Hinata the acknowledgement she desires. He respects people who stand up for themselves, like she did during her fight with Neji, and his opinion of her had changed from being the weird shy girl. I suppose it could potentially serve as an N/H build-up moment, were Naruto to ever show romantic inclination towards Hinata, but from where we stand now, it only serves as a platonic acceptance scene. The same goes for that "I see it in your eyes" scene we saw a couple chapters ago, when Naruto arrived on Hinata's battlefield.

A bit off topic, but I have had this thought for a while.... we know that Bee admired Yugito for her hard work and efforts at controlling her Bijuu. Now, we know that the key for a Jinchuuriki to be able to endure the burden of being a Jinchuuriki is to have someone acknowledge them or have someone that the Jinchuurikis care about. It also helps them in gaining full control of their Bijuu.

Now, Yugito is implied to be able to fully control Nibi as she can undergo a full transformation. So that means she passed the waterfall test. Not only that, if she was able to do that, then she must've had something that made feel strong enough to overcome the Bijuu's hate/will. I think that something was Bee. Bee knew what the key for a Jinchuuriki to be able to control the Bijuus is. Now, I'm thinking that Bee may have said something along the lines of what Naruto said to Hinata. That's what made her be able to control Nibi. She actually fell in love with Bee.
