Well, that's a different story. I don't know about stalking, but I wouldn't count it out that the one upmanship rivalry/friendship wouldn't take on a bit of a subconscious attraction on Sasuke's part. Kishimoto doesn't certainly hasn't avoided Sasuke having a true love/hate attraction to Naruto in part 2, even as he descended further and further into the darkness (The cover he did for volume 38 and his reaction to seeing the name on the bridge in the Land of Waves- "Great Naruto Bridge" are two strong examples. Even the fact that no one else was able to bring violent psychotic Sasuke back to a calm state, but not only did Naruto do so but he actually got Sasuke to listen to him and even shook him up a bit shows the depth of the bond Sasuke still feels for Naruto despite his absolute conscious denial of the bond

Well, the very optimistic thought would be the next chapter, but that's too much of a stretch, so the next optimistic thing would be like in 5-10 chapters, but I keep saying that for like almost 20 chapters now, so I guess, I don't know, but it is coming, eventually.

Sakura it's an honer you feel that way about me, and I see that you really care about me.
She know that revenche will not bring happiness to him and she was about to scream for someone to notice them.

Sakura care about Sasuke genuinely and he know, but he don't feel the same way about her plus he know that Naruto love her and Naruto will risk his life for her. that was a easy way to let Sakura down.


If I say Sakura really and deeply love Sasuke I will be lying to myself, but she did care alot for him beside she had a deep crush for him.

So Sasuke thank you was a easy way to let Sakura down.

When Sakura and Naruto refuse to accept Sasuke's decision, Sasuke was not happy about it and we all see what he almost did to them.

At the start of the manga, too, Sasuke noticed Sakura changing from him to Naruto, even observing it by: "Sakura's acting different today.." in one of the chapters as she tended to Naruto in a caring manner (he was feeling down.)

This is how I take it too. Generally he was thankful for his time with Team 7. They were like a family. Had events gone a little differently; had Sasuke not got the cursed seal and met with Itachi again, he probably would have chosen to stay. Meeting Itachi again really messed him up.

Sakura's confession, her desperation, really showed him how much she cared about what happened to him. So yeah, he was thankful for their bond, his last words as the Sasuke who cared about such things.

Yeah, I also doubt that's what it meant. At least exclusively. The way I took it was that he was thanking her for being one of his bonds. Considering how that's essentially the theme of the manga, and it's been thrown at us a million and one times, I thought that was the obvious conclusion. Him thanking her for being a bond could imply thanking her for having feelings for him by extension, but that's not the way I took it.

Is that why he mentioned that? I haven't read that chapter in a long time. I thought he was referring to Sakura being depressed about her abilities. I'll have to go re-read it.

Yup Azure is completely right. thats how i saw it too.

He was interested in Naruto anyway (aside from his brother) When he noticed Naruto was more powerful and stronger he got jealous of him and the attention. Its expected of Sasuke to superior ninja but him being inferior mad him look weak.


@Boom Winning is right too.

@ Fenris In that scene she was feeling down about her abilities. Sasuke noticed she wasn't acting like a fangirl (all his fault actually for saying shes weak) plus they needed getting throught into the Exams that day. That was important to Sasuke and if Team 7 didn't pass they wouldn't have made it, sasuke can't progress and get stronger so he needed Sakura to be able to pass. Lol before all this he even thinks about ditching his team for holding him back.

I totally agree with you and that's what make me angry about her confession tu Naruto, with Sasuke she was sincere but a litle selfish because she never think about what Sasuke really want only what she wants.

But with Naruto she was worry about him plus she know he likes her and she wanted to do something about his feelings so he can stop suffering, she gave him all the reason why she will genuinely care about him and he rudely disregarded her concern for him. if he did say she lovin him will make him really happy but he cannot accept her fellings right now because he know she still have feelings for Sasuke will be alot better tha ''I hate people that lie to themself'' that's the main reason why the antis say NaruSaku is dead.

So why would she lie if she said she didn't want to make another mistake? And she took it as if she didn't know; I took it as she believed no one could really ever love her due to low confidence, too.

I really don't understand this "deep, deep, emotional bond" Sasuke has with Sakura that the SS shippers all have in common. They say he secretly cares for her, or deep down would be devistated if he ever lost her. They've tried to kill each other 3 times. Or was it four? That isn't a healthy relationship. If anything, it'd be considered an abusive relationship in real life. I doubt Kishi would want to send that message to his readers.

Yeah, don't worry, he secretly loves you deep down, just let him rearrange your face a few times and maybe land you in the hospital- But don't worry! He still loves you deep down!! Plus. All Sasuke did was talk down to Sakura. That'd be emotional abuse. But sure, get right back with him? Thats totally okay! Let him continue to be a total bastard to you, it's completely okay! He loves you deep down!
