I posted this in the movie thread, but I wanted to share it here:

 

I think it's remarkably offensive to readers for Kishi to so blatantly retcon his work and ignore things he, himself, wrote in the early stages of the manga. To claim Naruto's love for Sakura was solely the product of his rivalry with Sasuke is disingenuous and insulting to the reader. I thought 699 & 700 were the peak in terms of Kishi's ability to destroy the core themes and values of his work. But his portrayal of Naruto's love and Sakura's "need" to remain true to her childhood crush exceeds that.

Yup. Not only this poster per se but paired with other stuff, it does add up to something bigger

I'm not so sure of it but anything is better than this movie. If nothing else I do respect your conviction and honesty. There's less and less to be optimistic about with this series as each day brings a new disappointment to this website.

I just want all these bs to come to an end. I've spent so much time into this fandom. And now these informations are just cause me to questioning my logic. I feel so betrayed, and humaliated. Because if these informations are real,that means kishi totally fooled us. I can't believe I trusted this guy..

I still have some hope though. I'm still waiting for this nightmare to end. Maybe it will and NS will become canon, or maybe it won't... I really don't know anymore. Well, we'll see.

Especially someone who makes this mess, the endind is already a dissaster, and chanses that it will do 180 and become something epic is les and les with every bit of info, and every day. But hope is only thing we have. So keep calm and hope for better.

Right? I feel betrayed and embarrassed, too. It's one thing to write a terrible ending that has NH and SS. It's another to then set out for the next month to do all sorts of publicity for a movie that explicitly retcons the work to make NS fans look like the biggest idiots possible.

I hope you're right chatte because I do not have hopes for something that will occur to be beneficial for us.I will never accept NH and SS bat I got used to the idea that kishi cheated us and and his insults.

I questioned myself more before all this BS happened, TBH. As it stands now, I have little doubt that NS had not only development, but clear foreshadowing. I know we weren't wrong.

Why Kishi continued to develop NS and even add to his parallels even after this NH had been in production for two years, I don't know. But I do know that the writing was leading NS, and we have confirmation that he was going to go there at some point at least.

I completely isolate myself from the naruto fandom. I'm just checking chatte's blog and this thread, and I'm waiting for something good :)

Everything that was need to be done in 699 is reunion of team 7 (not BS where Naruto only have "Sakura-chan"), revealing chapter 3 event now without transformation (so it would be Naruto to Sakura) and bringing the POAL to succed. That's all, but it's too simple to be true.

This disaster of a manga doesn't deserve all this angst and tears. It's just a pile of kitten and rubbish. Even if it turns out that NaruSaku is canon, it won't fix other amoral kitten and sloppy writing that's a huge part of this story. It's outright wrong and sick how they handled the ending and this movie. It's disgraceful to treat the fans who's been a source of Kishi's/SJ/SP wealth and support the way they do. They disgust me. I don't get why people are still trying to justify them after all that crap we had to witness.
