Sakura was lying...Maybe it was true that he stood by her side.. but still fact is.. that she didnt love him that time (or hasnt still realised that she loves him).

Her body language speaks differently. Yeah, it may not have been 100% conscious, but, if you look at her smiles when she talks about her feelings for Naruto, they completely differ from her fake smiles when she talks about her feelings for Sasuke. Plus, just the fact that this entire act put Naruto over Sasuke- even if she also did want to save Sasuke- speaks volumes about where her preferences and true affections lie. 

 

Besides, didn't Kishi, himself, say that she was being honest?  

 

That's all I've really had to say about this, anyway, so I haven't pressing the matter or trying to twist or ignore it.

The retconned flashback is dumb, but it is very, very unlikely that Naruto tells Hinata to wait for him so he can tell her that he loves her. That would be so ridiculously out of character.

 

Anyway, I'm not remotely worried. I'm 100% confident NaruSaku will be the endgame couple, i.e. already canon in The Last.

I wish Sakura showed some childish jealosy, and Naruto would act a little bit more mature and tease her in a loving way. 

Well, she showed sadness at learning Hinata was in love with Naruto during the Pain arc, which could entail some jealousy. XD

Asspull flashbacks can't erase that, the actual story, aka not meant to have any proper NH interaction in childhood. 

 

That scene is 90% of my ire at the trailer, I wouldn't have minded if Kishi took actual elements from the manga to build NH (If that is the pairing he is going for, not saying he is, but IF he is) he had the pain arc, and the moment when Neji died, and built on that, but the fact he doesn't suggests Not even Kishi thought those incidents were enough, he needed to create a fake history to make the possability plausable, even if just for a 1.30 trailer.

 

If I was a NH fan, I would be dissapointed at this development, it actually shows how weak the pairing is, that it needs, alterations to Actual Canon to make the pairing viable in the eyes of the mangaka. I hate the very thought of winning in such a manner. If that moment was added to make NS pairing viable then I'd be dissapointed as well, unless it was to show the moment Naruto fell for Sakura, because we know there was a moment when he started liking her before the manga started. or if it showed us the moment that caused Sakura to dislike Naruto, because again we know something happened before the manga which causes Sakura to dislike him.

Yup. He said that he wanted to depict an honest girl but it seems that it didn't work out with some readers.

I agree with both of you. She wasn't lying about all he'd done for her, and what that means to her, only about no longer caring for Sasuke and completely loving Naruto. She at that moment also showed that she wanted to love Naruto, had he believed her and said yes, she was prepared to give that everything. 

Naruto just knew her better than that. Which credits their relationship (and Naruto to me) even more. He won't settle for half her heart. I agree with you, she didn't fully love or realize her romantic love for him in that moment, but it shows she's thinking about it. I think we'll see her actually believe those things if NS is endgame and she realizes those feelings.

According to the third data book, Sakura doesn't know how she feels about Naruto. Maybe she hasn't realised that herself yet but will in 699-700, or hell, maybe she already has. Kakashi's insight on her feelings in 675 and 693 weren't just there for the heck of it.

 

As for the confession, it may have been false, but it wasn't just made up. What she said was 100% true, even if she didn't necessarily feel that way about Naruto at the time.

I'll tell you what I don't want from Naruto the Last...

 

I don't want a nh heavy plot to end with just Naruto being like uh yea sorry i'm with Sakura (of course thats the pairing I want, just not the way I want it)

 

What I would like is, like kishi said, a romantic movie, but I want a romantic movie that focus' heavily on NS. I want a ton of NS moments, funny and heartfelt, I want thoughts of previous moments, and the eventual resolution and feeling of love towards each other

Actually, I really expect her to say something about Hinata and that Naruto will say " no it will always be you Sakura-chan "
