Go for it
Though I'm not sure if those were the exact right words he should have used, as he comes of a just a tad bit condescending, but at least he's ready to talk and act tough on the whole matter.

I'm afraid that's only going to add more fuel to the fire between the two parties.

Because it makes total sense to completely destroy the already crippled education system. Great idea guys.

Yeah, wow that sucks. Cuz standardized test scores that have nothing to do with how well a teacher reaches his/her students is a great way to determine their salary.
That puts a lot of responsibility on kids shoulder's who, for the most part, don't give a crap. Not that kids are bad, but they are more likely thinking about high school drama or family problems, rather than worrying about their teacher's cut in pay if they do bad on some standardized test they hate having to take in the first place.

It makes sense that everything else is taxed and it's no surprise that student government loans would go up as well. Man this country is falling apart.

Does anyone know what Obama was talking about with Russia's President this morning? I think it has something to do with Nukes.

I go ahead and tell ya right now just because he passed a health care bill and Russia make a treaty with him (probably pretended) doesn't mean he's going to have any influence on Iran. Iran has been through several UN negotiations and they continue to build the facilities (satellite photos) and all diplomacy is doing is buying them more time.
That makes since, the pharmaceutical companies didn't complain much about the health care reform.

Well what do you expect from the so-called 'Tea Party' and Sarah Palin, honestly.

You shouldn't. Those are people who would shout racial slurs and other insults, leave death threats on answering machines, and shoot out windows in congressmen homes. They fully believe that the government is being taken over by socialist progressives aiming to take down our current capitalist republic. Rather than finding intelligent ways to make their opinions known, they find the most extreme and obnoxious ways to stand out because otherwise the media wouldn't give them the time of day. Comments like the one from Palin only encourage their childish behavior. My own father is just a plane ride away from joining them...

I didn't say that they the standard party of no, that's putting words into my mouth. I said that the more stupidity they spout over coherent thought the more likely it will be picked up by the fight happy mainstream media. They have terrible spokemen and current leadership. I've watched C-SPAN the night of the vote and before that during the summit, they may have offered alternatives but their primary goal was to oppose the bill.
I don't know who this guy is. But if he is a Democrat or liberal, then it is the dispensing of advice from someone who obviously doesn't have your best interest at heart. I'd be like Barack Obama asking for re-election advice from Karl Rove.
Same thing if he supported the bill.
Rothenberg says he's not affiliated with either party, but just another pundit to me.

Actually, the media is happy to give them the time of day, so long as they can use the opportunity to discredit them and portray them as extremists. Like constantly calling them "teabaggers," a slang term for a certain type of gay sex.
As far as the slurs...hasn't Andrew Breitbart offered a $10,000 for proof that those were actually shouted at James Clyburn? I haven't looked, but has anybody be able to do that yet?
Or the claim where rocks were allegedly thrown through his office window (report in a prominent Seattle newspaper), which turned out to be a complete lie. Or the coffin incident, which was warped into a death threat that never was? Or the spitting incident, which was similarly warped? And Stupak seems fine highlighting the threats he got after he sold out, but the media and many others seems to have forgotten the threats he was getting from the other side because he was refusing the vote for the thing.
Of course, I don't recall them making the same kind of noise about the shots that were fired at Eric Cantor's office (in fact no one in this thread has mentioned it all) nor the death threats that have been aimed at Republicans. Or the incident last August when SEUI members beat the crap out of a black man at a town hall meeting? But they did give plenty of play to they person who damaged that NY Congressman's office...that is until they found out she was a liberal. And who can forget them trying to painting the Austin man as a Tea Partier despite his post referring to the Communist Manifesto and damning capitalism in his final post. Same with Amy Bishop.
That said, for those who have issued threats...I don't condone them. Violence isn't the answer. And issue such threats do nothing, its morally wrong and it only gives ammunition to a opportunist media looking for it. I'm not a part of the movement and I don't give a crap about Palin. But I'm a little tired at the selective memory of a lot people and the holier than thou attitude by a number of pundits and politicians who are either too blind or dishonest to look in a mirror.
Republicans getting chastised for incitement by a bunch of people who cheered when Alan Grayson said Republicans wanted people to die? I might need ObamaCare sooner than I thought, because I'm about to die laughing.
I though Paul Ryan did a great job shredding the economics and faulty assumptions underlying the CBO score. Besides if the Dems spokesmen were so great, why do so many people hate the bill?
Obviously, that night the Democrats were voting on their own bill. What would have been the point focusing primarily on proposals that weren't currently up for a vote?
They don't have the votes to pass their own proposals and the Democratic leadership has never been genuine about working with them or considering their proposals. Well, except for a few token gestures.

Well, you're right. I've never heard of any of this before reported by the media.
