Well considering the genre, if that was to happen, it would likely be due to his cooking...well that would be a way to add drama, his nasty cooking going a step too far.

 

I'd like to see this scene.

Humour is so subjective, everyone has different tastes, I enjoy it. if you enjoy the typical Shounen Manga humour you'll enjoy this, as for lighthearted, for the most part it is but again like Shounen manga it does get serious, not all your friends are going to die serious, but serious in how the battle takes place, I guess it's more tention.

 

It's your typical Shounen battle manga, it's just the battles are done through cooking and not through actual battles.

 

Just give the first few chapters a go, if you don't get hooked by the end of chapter 5, it's not for you, it's not one of those manga's that require you to read four arcs before it gets good, it's pretty much from the first chapter.

You weren'r serious? But it was such a good suggestion, The struggle to reach the top of the cooking industry no matter how many victims you leave in your wake...you know you've made it when you get your own cooking show where you can make other wannabe cooks weep to their mommies.

I wanna see the first seat some more and Rindou is awesome xD Kuga is pretty chill which I like, love how the elite ten seems to get along in their own way, the second seat seems like a chill girl but can beat you down with her cooking Erina has been more relaxed recently and now her father is there...what did he do that even Hisako is scared?...Little by little, in each arc, we see something about Erina but not big one like this, I can't wait!

I'm really enjoying it so far, though! Fun characters and the cooking aspect is interesting.

 

I've only watched the anime, but my favorite characters so far are Soma and Ikumi!

Chapter was good, Rindou-sempai was as interesting as the spoilers suggested she would be which was good. It's interesting to see how Souma thinks, dispite beating number 8 in one day and using that as a argument to get a shokogeki, he still didn't consider it a win, and will only consider it a win if he wins on overall sales after all five days are combined.

 

I'm not sure who's reaction was more frightening at the end, Hisako's or Erina's, I would say Hisako as she is not even related, yet the look of pure terror was quite something. family to react like that but for an assistant...that does make you wonder about the father even more.

 

Well next week or even the next two weeks could be interesting, (depending on how much focus the mangaka wants to give to each storyline.) which would be specially interesting if Jouichiro turns up, which he might do as it appears he might have made a promise to Erina, and he is interested in his son as well.

Reading this comment somehow makes me really glad that you picked up this manga XD I remember how you were a bit interested in Erina.
And yeah, same here. We're finally moving along when it comes to Erina's part. I have no idea what he has done that would frighten Hisamo and Erina that much. I wouldn't be surprised if he dismisses and criticizes Erina's cooking in the next few chapters.
As for the Elite Ten: They are all such a bunch of interesting characters >_< Rindou might definitely become one of the most favorite female characters as time goes on. She's like getting along with Kuga really well and has already developed an interest in Soma.

Ahhh, I really like Rindou! She is an amazing second seat Elite ten. Her relationship with Kuga is awesome. (I love brother-sis relationships, and they remind me of one) 

Erina!! My girl! She better appear in the manga more. Hisako was kinda shaking when she saw Erina's father like Erina, so I think it'll be great to get more of Erina's childhood/background story (praying for an Erina focused arc)

OOOh I'm looking foward to see what Dynamic Erina has to her father. Guys we've been Soma x Erina Defficient for 5 chapters. I know I'm exaggerating but still!!! A relationship between them must bloom! be it as friends or a potential couple.

As much as I love and adore Megumi, why she usually gotta follow Souma? I wanted Souma to see the first seat by himself...lol Oh well, I bet I won't be bother when I read the chapter and barely any Erina this time
