Balls. Not sure if I wanna watch 267 episodes, plus the continuation. Part of me would rather just read the manga.
It can sometimes be a drag to watch the anime. But the serious arcs are well done, and the voice acting is splendid.
You'll just have to decide for yourself. You can always go back and rewatch the episodes after you've caught up with the manga.

I would watch the anime first so I can skim the manga faster but it doesn't really matter I guess...also the order is not much like the manga and some scenes are changed but it follows the manga so its not major but a bit noticeableBalls. Not sure if I wanna watch 267 episodes, plus the continuation. Part of me would rather just read the manga.

Belive me, manga will come harder, all the pluses of Gintama is in it's anime version, you just will love it!

After manga - episodes would be somewhat boring, it's always like that.

i feel annoyed that some gintama fans have been saying okita has been promoted to the tritagonist position.. as much as i fangirl his cool moments he just cannot replace pachi-boy imo

Well, last chapter is just great! When whole shonen jump sucks, only Gintama brings true shonen fight (in good term) on this week!

Well, I've just finished the Yoshiware in Flames Arc today... Holy kitten. That was so epic XD My brother and I watched it together, and they really put in all the budget they could for those epic fight scenes.

He was a beast villain;HOWEVER...
...I've noticed how there is this common theme going on in Gintama about not "redeeming" the villain but showing his past and eliciting feelings of sympathy from us. Normally, that method works, but there is a limit to how much I can sympathize with villains.
So yeah, the only thing I didn't like about this arc is that towards the end the series was trying to make me understand him better and make me feel bad for that a**hole with sad music and flashbacks and all this stuff. I would have preferred it if that was toned down a bit in this case- especially for a guy who has committed such hideous crimes.
What's your thought?
It was awesome. I was prepared for Kagura Yato mode, but not that epic Gintoki vs Housen.

I'm not referring to Hinowa b/c she was amazing already ever since she was a little girl. It was more so about Housen. He's so far the most appaling (and beast) villain I've seen. His crimes were so heavy in my eyes that not even the sympathizing scene worked on me- and quite frankly, I would have preferred if it was executed in another way.

Yeah what he did was bad and I guess it was for why he kept Hinowa for me, his reason why he didn't want her away from him and also it made me think of the yatos fate like Kagura and Kamui btw KAMUIIIIII'm not referring to Hinowa b/c she was amazing already ever since she was a little girl. The only gender transformation I wasn't prepared for was Kondo Isao XD XD XD Female Gintoki and Sougo though <3
And seeing Otae so jealous of everybody's huge chest is just hilarious XD
