He was a beast villain;HOWEVER...
...I've noticed how there is this common theme going on in Gintama about not "redeeming" the villain but showing his past and eliciting feelings of sympathy from us. Normally, that method works, but there is a limit to how much I can sympathize with villains.
So yeah, the only thing I didn't like about this arc is that towards the end the series was trying to make me understand him better and make me feel bad for that a**hole with sad music and flashbacks and all this stuff. I would have preferred it if that was toned down a bit in this case- especially for a guy who has committed such hideous crimes.
What's your thought? 
It was awesome. I was prepared for Kagura Yato mode, but not that epic Gintoki vs Housen.
