I smell rushed epilogue.

If there's gonna be two chapters I'm guessing we're not yet done with whats going on here.

 

The final chapter is either gonna be an epilogue timeskip or show what everyone's doing which just isn't possible with only 20 something pages and thousands of different major characters

 

NS will have a pretty disappointing outcome if it does become canon.

I'm really sorry if people will strongly disagree with this but I really hope there won't be an epilogue chapter of showing everyone years after "the Last"

To me, and to all of us, the whole aspect and general main element of the story was of Naruto becoming the hokage. We have kept on hearing this over and over as the story progressed until we got to the point when we all asked ourselves........how IS he gonna become Hokage?

Don't get me wrong right now Naruto is at a level where he has become more powerful then his predecessors, but being hokage isn't all just being the most powerful......there are other aspects of hokage to which Naruto hasn't shown or grown into.

To have an epilogue skipping years into the future of him being the hokage already and not showing how he got there would just leave uneasiness and a unsatisfied feeling of not knowing what we have all been waiting for....

Not to mention other characters and plots that would be wrapped in mystery without a conclusive end to each of them.

-orochimaru and team taka
-story of hamura
-Naruto's plan for future peace
-kakashi's reign as hokage
And many others......

I'm sorry if I'm sounding like a broken record to everyone like this but I just had to say having an epilogue chapter of everyone as adults and everything right now would just be..........not good

The entire epilogue was multiple chapters long, and the series is still going. With that said GT had a way better epilogue.

You must have misread my comment because I never said it was.

@Kster you mot certainly can, 44 pages isn't much of an epilogue that's less than a monthly manga's chapter.

I dont think so. Its basically 2 chapters in 1 day. The epilogue if we even get one will only consist of chapter 700, the last one.

You're right, you didn't. But you said that the series is still going (the movies, I guess) and you said that non-canon material (which is an anime) had a better epilogue than the manga. I just don't get why you're trying bring up GT for. And Kishimoto will be providing a full colored chapter for 700 so I think that is good enough to end the series.

Can we all just stop for one moment about shipping and realize Naruto finally, after so long of trying, has gotten back Sasuke?

 
He tried so hard to bring him back from Orochimaru, for years.... and after all this time, he's finally done it. He's lying besides his best friend whom he never gave up on, bloodied and nearly dead - but he's smiling - because he did it. After all these years he actually did it.  Sasuke gave up. They smiled together, they laughed together, and Naruto yearned for this from Sasuke for such a long time, chasing after him till he nearly died multiple times, and now on the brink of death they're - perhaps for the first time - truly bonded to one another equally and Naruto has his best friend back... and Sasuke realizes it, too. So many years in the darkness, he's cried, laughed and smiled all in one day and accepted his new family. They might not make it out of this alive and they know it, deep down, that it's a possibility. But they laughed, because after all this time, it's over...

 

That's great and all, but let's be honest this wasn't exactly a surprise. We knew Naruto was going to win in the end when it came to Sasuke...no problem. I would have been more surprised if Sasuke died than anything else. So while your words speak truths, it is not like this was something unexpected.

My bigger concern was Naruto himself and whether or not he would...I don't know...live his life outside of Sasuke. He spent so many years worrying over Sasuke and trying to bring him back that he kind of...ignored other things. I was more hoping that this would teach Naruto a lesson about how everything shouldn't be revolved around an obsession, but whatever. Yay, Sasuke's back and...no one really cares or are surprised by it.

It is what it is and sadly, even I stopped caring about this a long time ago. I already knew Naruto would succeed to bringing Sasuke back,

We already know what everything look like colored, i'd rather a satisfactory ending rather than a rushed one
