guys, just don't quarrel among ourselves. especially at the time like this.
Certainly my confirm didn't kill NS changes. It's just Kishimoto insists again, after so many chapters, to keep up the love triangle.

It's no longer a question of "Sakura still loves Sasuke" but how, just a few chapters from the end (and the final movie?), Kishimoto still gets messed up with romance. In whatever way NS could be happened, the all story won't be particularly well seen by the majority of readers. NS fans included.

But I already knew this in the bottom of my head, shounen mangas (especially from WSJ) have never had love stories well developed.

You know it's not all that messed up... Psychology is weird like that. There are plenty of times people fool themselves into thinking they love someone and will be with them despite abuse...

Yes, but she was telling the truth about loving Naruto; she was genuinely blushing and smiling whenever talking about her feelings for Naruto. She was lying about her reasons for approaching Naruto, as well as her feelings for Sasuke, as evidenced by her fake smile during only those comments. 

That confession is kinda coming back to this chapter

Sure, maybe Sakura still does love sasuke. But that doesn't mean she loves naruto too. It's all in the matter of how Sakura will finally kittening realize naruto is the one. Gosh kishi, way too ruin Sakura's development. I'm more sad about that.

Well if that's what you want to believe then so be it. Just keep in mind who it is that you're expecting a paragon of a consistent, well-developed romance subplot from. Sakura won't be the only one to have a "disappointing" conclusion with that subplot. Just imagine an engagement or commited relationship coming up out of the blue between Sasuke and Karin, now consider all the suspense and anxiety that their relationship has suffered from over Part 2. Now try to imagine Ino randomly appearing in The Last, holding hands with generic male citizen #734 (assuming there aren't any sparks with Choji) after reaffirming her desire for Sasuke during this war. Sakura's situation is hardly the worst piece of writing that Kishi has conceived and it probably won't be the last. 

I never said that was the only subplot that wouldn't have a well written conclusion. I'm well aware that Kishi has screwed up pretty much all of the plot lines.. And I agree that SK wouldn't make sense, either.

The romance subplot already wasn't great, but this chapter cements the thought that NS won't have a good resolution, which I already suspected would be the case.

I wonder how many of you have experienced what Sakura did? Take it easy, read it again and you will understand why she did that.

 

First, her conception of love is... BS. She is not aware of a lot of things and neither is Naruto as well. You can't just expect Sakura to give up on her childhood image, we are talking about love here and I can safely say that love in the ninja world should be... one or two relationships at most. That's why she is so hellbent on Sasuke.

 

Second, she misses him, but not this one. The image she formed about Sasuke throughout the years. You cannot blame her, love is really stupid.

 

Third, While I half agree that Naruto should have steeped up for her, I also agree that she needed to hear this from Sasuke. He is right, her daydreaming must stop and soon. Naruto's reaction was fine, the world is at stake here and he got Kurama, a part of his 'soul' (may you call it so). Just because he loves her that does not mean that he must do everything for her. She did it on her own this time.

 

I probably am the single one around that thinks this chapter was almost brilliant, if not for the fact that Kishi degraded everyone in one go, including Kakashi.

 

So please refrain from further panic attacks, you are too young.

Naruto looks kinda hurt by Sakura's word on page 8...

 

This is why I feel like he held is tongue and didnt say anything about his feelings, Naruto is a Selfless person, he doesnt want to get in peoples ways like that. Look at the scene were Sasuke is in the hospital and Naruto smiles but looks away all sad. This is what he thinks is the right thing to do.

I am just going to say this to get it off my chest:

"Kishi...you are bad at writing romance. I don't know what the hell is going on anymore because you have went in loops instead of a natural progression of cause and effect. Everything else is fine. In fact, your characters are fine, but the fact that you continue to play up Sasuke and basically reduce Naruto's and Sakura's characters as a direct result of it means that you need someone to help you help somewhere. if this is an elaborate trolling again and you are just playing with your fandom like you always do...I'm just at a lost for words."

With that being said though, WHAT ABOUT THE BENCH SCENE?! You have rehashed every other scene in part 1 down to the tiniest of detail, yet the bench scene which seems to be a huge deciding factor in everything all of a sudden gets overlooked? The scene where Naruto disguised as Sasuke is kind to Sakura is completely ignored? It had to have been brought up somewhere and it's not like these character can just forget that...or have they?

I...I don't know. I don't even know what I am feeling right now. No, I take that back, I am angry, but I am not sure who I am angry at. I am not sure if I am angry at Kishimoto for this confusion or if I am angry at the translators or I am angry with the fandoms. I don't know if I am angry at Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke...maybe a little of everything. I am just mad and high emotions right now. It's not lack of faith or abandoning ship. I am just mad at a lot of things.

I said it before and I will say it again...I wish Sasuke was never invented. I really wish Sasuke's character never existed at all.
 

 

I think now sasuke is officially my new fav character.
What the hell sakura...sorry but open your eyes girl. At least hinata didn't fall in love with naruto because he is cool and dark and keeps on loving him because he mentally and physically abuses her. Jeeez.

I still highly doubt that ss will be canon and ns won't.

 

Personally speaking, I am just tired of the drama in general. Like I said, it is not lack of faith. It's lack of competence with Kishimoto. He is making Sasuke so important and every character is suffering for it, not just Sakura.

Sakura:Hold on Naruto I'm helping you too. Sasuke you treated me like crap over the years. You never cared for me. Now I don't love you anymore.

I feel like Kishi doesn't like Sakura. Or her fans. He made her look pathetic by making her say she still loves Sasuke.
But when Sasuke rejected her by saying "I don't know what she saw in me, I don't have any interest in her." I felt like it was coming from Kishi. Like HE was saying it about Sakura. I really hate that.

that's like saying Kishi would downgrade his wife, that's not true.

Sakura too much like Kishi's wife who is said to be just like Kushina (according to Kishi)

I saw that comment as a way to point out the anti SS to the SS fans. :/

Poor guy  really his confidence must be shattered ,  how will he ever believe her how will he ever confess now ? Its just so impossible right now and I can't believe Kishi made him hear all what Sakura said   really  this was so wrong  .

Again your missing the point entirely its not a matter of if NS becomes canon its that it completely kittens on everything Kishi has been working towards since the beginning.

I have read the comments, I read nearly everyone's post, and I don't agree with that notion. Mainly it is because I always had the belief she did still romantically loved Sasuke, and the fact that I also always believed that if NS would happen, it would be a very last minute short of thing. Meaning I believed that if Sakura did fell in love with Naruto, she would only realize it towards the end of the manga. 

 

So in my manga I never really thought she would fall in love with Naruto before near the end of manga. I had moments, yes, and did hope it would happen earlier, but I never truly believed it would happen any other way.

 

That is why nothing in this chapter surprised me, and nothing has changed for me. People are complaining now that they feel Naruto will only be Sakura's silver medal by the end, which is hogwash. That wouldn't be Kishi's intention, and we would know it. I agree it wont be realistic, but Naruto isn't a realistic world. Realistically Sakura should have let go of Sasuke long ago. Realistically Naruto would have also let go of Sasuke. Yet they also live in world with Ninjas, and giant talking summoning animals. It really comes down to your own expectations of the manga. I feel like I have the perfect expectations for the series, and I never felt that I was lowering my expectations for it. I just knew what the series, came to terms with it, and accepted it.

The death of NS.... :'(

 

Well look like the NH fans were right about NS all along.

 

Maybe Kishi should have just killed Sakura off in the Sasori fight, at least that way she would have ended on a high note. It would have been far better for her.

i am pretty surprised that nobody noticed that Naruto has reaffirmed one of those thing that ASS/ANH denied to death: That his promise of lifetim to Sakura is always valide. Sakura just wanted to broke it but in Naruto's mind (and heart) this promise is still ongoing.

 

"How I can confess to her... me, a man who wouldn't even keep a promise...?"

 

it's all a full circle... Sakura just cares for Sasuke (and remember, she WILL ALWAYS CARE FOR HIM, she won't even say a such thing like "I kittening hate you, shannaro!") No.

 

Honestly the context for few of you is that she has romantic feelings for him? Maybe you could have right, but to me the context of the chapter is that everything is still in past... Sakura confides in those old feeelings of Sasuke for her (comradeship, not love!! don't mistake).

 

"If I am still in your heart just a little, then stop it!" Sasuke never loved Sakura. Sasuke cared about Sakura as a comrade.

 

I noticed it and I always though that Naruto would bear it all his life, no matter what anybody would say. Even Sakura. It's because he loves her so much.

Just look for how long Sakura loved Sasuke. Do you think Naruto would stop loving Sakura and switch to Hinata just like that ? LOL This story can only end on NaruSaku. Kishimoto made love full of exclusiveness all along his story. And the only one that has been shown changing was Sakura. The math is not complicated. I really don't understand how people can't see that.

Its not just that Sakura is still who she is in part 1

 

its that Kishi goes out of his way to slap all the fans in the face. If Sasuke actually reciprocated her feelings I would have loved that compared to Kishi basically telling everyone to go kitten themselves with this chapter after over 10 years of waiting patiently for a pay off.

NS isn't dead and that's actually the problem.

 

If he ended it with SS being canon it would be better than what we know is about to come. NS is going to be canon but not befroe Kishi kittens on us first.

 

I'm pretty sure what this is building u to is that at the end of the NvS fight Sakura will have to make a choice that she can only save one and that she will pick Naruto because though she may love Sasuke she loves Naruto more.....atleast thats what I gathered.
