And, there is the fact that it would be really out of place for it to be Katsuyu, Tsunade's regular summon, with two "newer" summons coming from Naruto and Sasuke. With the theme, Sakura should have a new unidentified slug.

 

 

Since the discussion appears to have become related to slugs I'm curious to hear what others here have to say about Sakura's involvement in the upcoming chapters. Is she going to act primarily as a medic from now on or will she continue the offensive alongside Naruto and Sasuke? If the slug she summoned is in any way similar to Tsunade's Katsuyu then it should be capable of using acid-based attacks.

 

Plot-device Sai's segue probably foreshadow's the slug's primary act as having to do with healing. It's really possible for the new slug to have something that is more offensive. I can see acid being very useful upcoming.

 

In the myth, slug magic doesn't necessarily have any "offensive" techniques. They have counters and nullifying techniques.

Before I respond, just wanna say that I thought this thread would be further along than this. LOL 

 

Anywayyyyy, I think she's gonna leave the healing to her slug and also play offense. I  mean, she doesn't have to lend her chakra to the slug while it heals considering this isn't like what happened back in Konoha. Hopefully, she plays some role in taking down the Juubi when it comes to attacking given her offensive capabilities are quite impressive. 

 

I'd be cool if Sakura actually had some acid like jutsu but I'd wonder if that's asking for too much at the moment. XD

the fact is that Katsuyu has only 2 antennes. This slug not only have 2 antennes but also two holes near her mouth.. Katsuyu doesn't have those two holes...

I googled Katsuyu a few days ago just to check, she had 4 antennes in all of the images from the anime. Just now I googled "Katsuyu manga", and saw that she only has 2.

I think it's a totally different slug regardless given Naruto and Sasuke's summons are "newer generation" summons. Hopefully we see something epic from these summons. I could see Sakura leaving the healing to her slugs, and assisting Naruto and Sasuke in tacking down the Juubi. What's more is that she doesn't even have to heal either. She can leave that to her summon and she can ride the Toad with Naruto.

I agree with megi, it would be so anticlimactic to have Sakura using Katsuyu when she suppose to be healing the Kage's not to mention that Naruto and Sasuke seems to have their own summons why not Sakura?

I just looked a a certain guy's review, and I must say, he's a complete and utter DUMBASS when it comes to Sakura.

Ummm.... really? Sakura was all over his damn review. She's clouding his mind so much that apparently, that he misses stuff that's happened in the chapter.  Such a dumbass, and I love how people think that after her seal's gone, she won't be as powerful anymore... Like the seal is a one time power up or something. What it comes down to... Don't make a comment on a character if you have no clue WTF you're talking about.  LOL This guy CLEARLY had on his hate goggles.

The seal won't disappear...I mean it will if she uses all of that chakra but it doesn't mean that it's not there. It will reform but without the chakra stored.

 

Seal is not one time...I did mention that Sakura has definitely taken the time to think out how much chakra she has right now contained in the seal. She's measured it out and it took three years to get that precise amount. So, maybe her attack(s) will be using all that chakra at once. There should be no underestimation about how deadly her power can be.

Not to mention that afterwards, it won't even have to be three years the next time she wants to do that technique. It all depends on how much chakra she will feed into the diamond for an amount of time.

I'm puzzled as to why some fans think Naruto "owes" Hinata an official response, or that Kishimoto will have failed if he doesn't meet reader expectations for a specific form of closure for Hinata.

I mean, it took Naruto 631 chapters to admit out loud that he wants Sakura to be his girlfriend.  I have a really difficult time imagining him confronting Hinata about her feelings, his lack of feelings, or his feelings for Sakura.  Something like that isn't Naruto's strong suit, and why would anyone want to see a shy girl like Hinata be put through it just to hear bad news?

"H-hey Hinata, thanks for caring about me and everything, but I love Sakura-chan, okay?  Sorry.  Don't faint-tebayo!"
 


I don't know.  It just seems like an emotional hornet nest that Kishimoto wouldn't want to go anywhere near.  Much better to have a panel or two -- like #450 -- where Hinata sees that Naruto is happy with Sakura, and she's happy for him.  No muss, no fuss.  Done.

Naruto wants Sakura.  While Hinata appears to still be seeking deeply personal inspiration from Naruto, that doesn't mean any more now than it ever did.  Her relationship with Naruto exists mostly in her head, and it's more in line with Kishimoto's style -- and the direction the story seems to be going -- to leave it there.


So... moving on.

Since Tsunade was bisected I expected her to die, and now with Sakura's rise and the Hokage seat so hotly contested, I really can't see her surviving.  Will she make it to the current battlefield?  Or will Naruto and Sakura not be with her when she dies?
 
Will Gaara have anything more to do in the war, or will he be sidelined from now on?

Is anyone else going to die?  Besides Obito, most likely?

Will Sai get another shot at glory?

I can't help feeling that Kishimoto is holding Lee and Tenten in reserve for something special, and I'd LOVE to see it.  How are they going to fit into the fight?

As of right now, who is your vote for ultimate/final villain of the story?  Is there just one?

That's a great post you go there. That's makes alot of sense that Hinata is gonna get her closure lik such. nd she did say after the war she's gonna move on. And I personally think that's naruto is a source of inspiration that invokes strength within her like u said. I don't think she expects naruto to have any romantic feelings for her. She ll just be happy for him. And done. Get a panel or two maybe an internal monologue.

Now on to the final villian/fight. I still solidly believe that it's gonna be sasuke. He's an anti hero. He's got his way of doing things and its not gonna gel well with everyone else. I see obito turning and doin something to help the alliance. And I see sasuke getting influenced by madara. I mean hashirama did it. So he should have an impact on him as well. And it's gonna involve the juubi. He naruvssasu fight has to be he most epic and broken and overpowered fight of them all. Don't see a friendly skirmish for the hokage seat. That doesn't seen like a great way to end yu series. Think about it. This war is exciting but it's lost some of its exciting luster it's been going on for. While now. So I'm expecting an epic twist from sasuke in the next two volumes. Even juugo hinted it.

This is how I see it. 

 

1. 3 years to form the seal

 

2. When it depletes, it may take 2 or 3 times longer than it normally does to replenish her chakra including the storage space but this is entirely dependent on just how much chakra she has in her storage. All I'm pretty sure of is that her stamina is a lot higher and she can push out a lot more powerful jutsu. I'd say it's easily at a 5 on the databook chart.

I don't know why he thinks so either, but clearly, he doesn't know what he's talking about. He definitely hates her IMO, because he can't even appreciate what she's doing, and what's more is that this is the guy who said she wasn't anything heroic. I think they already did at the end of the chapter. At the end of the day, they're the only one currently capable of turning the tide of battle. It was nice seeing Rookie 9, but right now, all I truly want is Team 7 action moments. They're about to own the field with their teamwork!

Well Katsuyu did technically initiate the fight against Manda and Orochimaru in P1 by expelling acid in their direction without being provoked to defend itself. I'm not really an expert on Japanese mythology but I do know that Kishi enjoys taking some creative liberties with his manga. If Kishi's intentions for Sakura are for her to be depicted as an emulation of Tsunade during the Sannin battle then the slug may be the creature to offer the first strike against their opponents. Afterwards it could very well be relegated to a support role but Sakura should be capable enough on her own to fight against the replicas. Personally though I would prefer if the slug creature was offered more participation in the offensive to expand more on what they're capable of and perhaps offer a bit more character depth to them as the slugs have received far less elaboration of their customs or behaviour than the frogs or snakes.

Some say her leg was injured in this chapter(there was a panel where her leg looked a bit off), and that's why she only took down 1 enemy. It might just be wishful thinking to make Hinata more powerful, because while her attack looked impressive, the result was mediocre.

I feel as though Sakura is capable of so much given her amazing chakra control.

 

We're shown that she can learn techniques faster than most people. Her learning an S-ranked jutsu isn't even something that I consider out of her reach at all because she's a really smart individual, and her capabilities surpass others IMO. Is she a genius. For sure! She may not be the ninja with the most jutsu but what we do know is that if the jutsu can be learned, it'd likely be no problem for her to actually learn the jutsu at all. I think if Jiraiya was teaching both Naruto and Sakura the Rasengan, she'd likely learn it a lot quicker than Naruto.

Hey that's right! Also I looked back at the chapter. Now I highly doubt that Sakura&Slug will be used only for healing. Naruto and Sasuke are thinking of going straight for the 10tail and I doubt Sakura would want to stand back and wait to be healing support.

I'm also really interested in how/if Kishi will elaborate the slugs. I want there to be mentioning of the Shikkotsu forest and hopefully a set up for slug sage techniques (probably Sakura doesn't know at this time but it's possible for her to learn now).

For people who ask, it's saying that Sakura's a genius for being able to pull off an S-rank starting so young while not being a part of a renowned clan ^^

 

What is genius about her is that she has no prestigious clan blood in her, and I think that's how Kishi will play it as that. It's all hard work, and it goes along the lines of how "hard work beats genius", with genius in this context as having clan abilities.

This is why I disagree with the theory that Sakura has "senju blood" ^^

Seal jutsus are S-rank! I don't know if Sakura was "using" the seal technique at 13 years old. She started at that age...she finished at 16. Now that she has finished we can say that 13-year old Sakura was no weakling. That chakra control is the best in the world, and being only 13!
