It ended in a cliffhanger what do you expect.

Well for the record, there's no spoilers or anything on the upcoming events from Kishi at the Jump Festa 2013. Yup, that's all. Not sure if I read right, but I believe his wife is there, which for some reason, people brought up her looking like Sakura as Oda's wife is Nami. So I'm assuming they are there? I don't know, people are saying that in chat room and stuff. One news we got is that there will be a new movie next year. What a surprise, though curious on who will do it and such.

Edit: No wait, the new movie will release in 2014. That's interesting.

This Chapter legit made me cry, Neji was one of my favorite characters. I am one of the few people however that hopes Kishimoto does NOT cop out and revives everyone killed at the end. It nearly ruined the Pein Invasion Arc when he did that....

It's really sad that Neji has died. I really like all of K11. Hopefully he won't kill any more of the K10... and oh yea I really don't want Tsunade to die either.

I don't think any of the K11 will die now. I understand the purpose of Neji's death now. The others are either not important enough, or they have a purpose in the future.

Well seeing how everyone's on the battlefield now something is bound to happen to someone; and someone especially important to Naruto.. If Neji's the only significant death (on the field), well, i'll be glad, but i'll also find the entire battle bland if that's all. I'm telling you, it's way too convenient for *everyone* to be there and nothing that really can break Naruto happens. Kakashi, Sakura— maybe even oh, Sasuke? I'm expecting him.. We shall see.

Oda was the one who said Kishimoto's wife looked like Sakura in the first place. I think he was just teasing, though.

I read the chapter again. Seeing Neji get in front of Hinata(who was protecting Naruto) made me think of one thing.

If Obito aims for Sakura next, what do you think are the chances that Rock Lee is going to appear in front of her, and receive the attack in her stead? In this case, he will die fulfilling the promise "I will protect you with my life." Sakura's development doesn't have to come from Tsunade's death. It can come from seeing somebody die while protecting her, leading her to realize how she was always being protected. This can give her the development. (Thank god, Leesaku fans won't go around shouting that Narusaku only happened because Lee died). The one problem I have with this is that he didn't prove that "hardwork can overcome a genius" yet in the story. But since the "genius" Neji died, it can go, "if a genius can protect his comrade, so can I."

And what about Kakashi? Do you think Gai will protect Kakashi if the above case happened to him?

It sounds nice but it could feel a little repetitive to have the same kind of sacrifice with Lee. I feel like Gai has more chances of dying, and when I say die I mean "8th Gate blazes of glory" die. That's the only acceptable way I'll let Gai go.

Although I'm still betting on the chance that Obito goes after Naruto's life and Sakura does indeed get in the way and takes the stab. That could trigger a vision of Obito seeing himself stabbing Rin.

Maybe a way to make it different is that instead of getting in front of Naruto she pushes him out of the way. In such a case we could actually get a repeat of Rin's death scene. Before it was Kakashi stabbing Rin while Obito looked at a distance, but now it would be Obito stabbing Sakura while Naruto looks at a distance.
