Oh, that I absolutely expect (I'll be quite shocked if it doesn't make it into the Top ten). I'm simply talking about the overall manga sales.

 

Btw, guys, the last time, Naruto has been in the top 50 according to animenewsnetwork.com was during December 8-14 for Volume 71. It has sold 907,830 after seven weeks; by now it should have easily reached a million volumes. Looking forward to see how much volume 72 will bring in XD

Another reiteration of blanket hatred which apparently almost everyone shares for the story. I'll grant that SP spoiling the ending of their anime with a movie the previous year could have influenced the ratings, but I don't think negative sentiments towards the series like yours are the be all and end all for reasons why it's not in the top 10 highest grossing manga. 

 

 

I expect it to be in the top 10 since it is the last volume of a much beloved series that has been part of people's lives for over a decade. If nothing else, they'll purchase it out of principle. 

LOL first stop accusing me for nothing  I'm not the angry one dude I've stopped following the anime way back in the LOI arc I frankly don't give a kitten about it since then  .  Its you who are asking all the questions and being paranoid about every info  I just answered to your question .

 

The anime rating wouldn't have fall if Naruto was on the right track and people still liked were is all of this is going  anime and manga are two different things  .  Just bc the manga is finished its not a reason for the ratings of the anime  to go down which have been even way before this ending  , people usually follow the anime trough the end if its according to their liking even when the manga ends bc they want to see the live adaptation of it  . Basically if people don't like were things are going with the manga they'll drop it and rating will go down  I don't know what other reasons you're asking or thinking of .

I don't know if they'd cancel it outright. If the ratings continued to drop and that did become a risk, then the smart thing for them to do would be to hastily rethink their plan to go beyond the ending, and just adapt what's left of the manga.

I think they would under extreme circumstances. I don't know what they think they're doing though, adding a whole filler season when the manga is over... that's not helping them at all. That's their #1 issue, adding constant BS. :/ Given all that I doubt they'd even try to fix their mistakes. I mean look at The Last lol.

Yeah. That + severe financial issues would suffice, but I don't think they're going to fall bankrupt anytime soon (unless The Last killed their budget)

I imagine the Last didn't make them too much money. If that rumor about it costing $12M to make then the movie really did poorly all things considered. Also I don't think that would include their huge advertising campaign which must have cost millions as well. I'm confident Road to Ninja made them a much larger profit than the Last.

Random thought: There are a lot of people that don't like how Toei handles the OP anime, but at least they get the fights done right. Im watching the beginning of the Zoro/Kaku fight, and it is epic right now. I've heard that the fights in the last were terrible, which fits in with the rest of the anime, to be honest.

The fights in the Last aren't that great. Too much DBZ like. However, the anime did do Kakashi vs Obito really well and honestly that was one of the best fights I've seen in anime in a long time.

The fights in the Last aren't that great. Too much DBZ like. However, the anime did do Kakashi vs Obito really well and honestly that was one of the best fights I've seen in anime in a long time.

The kakashi vs obito fight was ok, I remember at some point there was that weird animation that they did with pain that kinda ruined it for me. The only good fights to me were Naruto vs pain (excluding that one face thingy), Jiraiya vs Pain, and Kakashi vs Kakuzu and Hidan. Other than that, nothing was really good to me.

Off topic, but speaking of One Piece I went to barnes and Noble due to the Viz 3 in 1 deal and I was aiming to get FMA, but then I got these instead for nostalgia purposes: 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: If  any of you are curious about the absence of Volume 3 well truth is they didn't have it while I was there so I just thought about picking up the first 5 cause I only had enough for those volumes.
