You guys really like to burn your eyes going to NH forums . I sometimes take a trip there too in a matter of fact.

Hey, guys.. do you know about google trends?

 

"Trends is a Google tool that shows the most popular search terms in the recent past. The tool provides graphs with the frequency in which a particular term is searched in various regions of the world and in multiple languages​​."

 

So, I put NaruSaku, SasuSaku and Naruhina (ナルサク, サスサク, ナル ヒナ) and set up Japan these were the results: link

 

These results aren't very accurate because in Japan the terms they use when refering to pairings are not the same we use here, like NaruSaku, NaruHina and SasuSaku.

Hmm, there's nothing wrong with it. Naruto seems to be massaging Sakura's feet and she is really enjoying it, but that's all.

Well, there was part of me saying he was giving her a massage, then there was another part of me saying he was about to tickle her feet... The series probably would have ended had he done that lol

Even so, "i know everything you two ever wanted to say to me", he didnt thought about his feats when his mother was talking about him, everything his mother told him he accomplished minus the "eating more vegetables".

He fall in love with a girl that resemble his mom (which is the same as "find someome like me"), accomplished things that his father desire to, on the moment he's there saving the world and having the protagonist role.

 

True Naruto did pretty much as his parents told him. But not everyone sees this, I've encountered people that said Naruto did the exact opposite of what Kushina said.

Kushina gave many dying advices to Naruto, but the "find someone like me" is different from the rest.  Of course Naruto will consciously eat more healthy, study more and sleep well. The final advice is not meant to be taken that literally, it's not that simple. And lol..it would be crappy writing if Naruto said something like "ofc mom, I'll find someone like you too!".

 

Kishi didn't include it because Kushina will only approve a girlfriend for Naruto that is like herself, of course she would accept anyone he is happy with. Kishimoto gave us a hint as a writer, a glimpse into his direction.

I know what you mean and I understand. I am glad that he didn't say like, "Hey, I found someone like you." It's best for the parents to accept her and Minato already approved. Naruto is not being told to find that specific woman, but only us get the idea on the direction. In other words, we are secured.

*sigh* I try not to look at NH stuff, but every time a new chapter is out of Naruto and I go read it somewhere there's always NH fan comments that are hard to miss 615 was really bad, they were all being rude and mean  After that when 631 came they tried whatever excuse and the comments were filled with them saying Naruto was joking, or something to make it seem as if NH is still strong, some even went as far as saying Naruto is horrible for saying that after he and Hinata "bonded"

lols , I just finished debating with somebody and they said if Sakura kisses Naruto it will be because of medical attention aka CPR . lols wtf .

Some of them I have to wonder if they even have a life. A few years back a NH fan bashed a good friend of mine who was in an accident and said he hoped she died because I supported NS. That's pretty cold for just a pairing war.

What those who try to use the Kushina parallel to their advantage, namely NaruHina fans, commonly ignore is that MinaKushi has been proven to parallel NaruSaku, but also NaruSaku was not molded from MinaKushi, MinaKushi was molded from NaruSaku.  The arm gestures, the one insecurity, originally hating the person they love, and changing due to that person, Sakura showed all of those before we even knew about Kushina.  Originally, Kishimoto wanted to give Naruto a brief flashback about his parents.  However, that changed when he had a family himself.  He didn't want Naruto to miss the experience of actually meeting his parents.  He gave Naruto those chances to meet both Minato and Kushina.  With Kushina, we learned what lead to their deaths, but also how they met each other.  When looking through their childhood, we notice these similarities to another pair, especially with the females and how the boys affected them.  This is where the parallel was concieved. 

 

However, the order is interchangeable depending on how you interpret the story chronologically.  I mean if you take things from universe timeline, of course, MinaKushi is the precursor, but from a chapter and writing perspective, NaruSaku is the precursor.  We saw their development first, and the parallel has to match in certain ways in order to be a parallel.  Naruto loves Sakura,  Sakura originally looked down on Naruto, Naruto likes the physical feature Sakura hates, Naruto distinguishes himself that causes Sakura to change her view on him, and she gradually keeps changing due to constantly witnessing his determination.  Minato and Kushina basically start the same way with few differences:  Minato loves Kushina, Kushina originally looked down on Minato, Minato likes the physical feature she hates, she sees him in a different light after he saves her from cloud ninja, and she changed starting from that incident.  We see MinaKushi fully developed because it's already happened and the flashbacks basically gave us a summary of how they got together and how Kushina gave birth to Naruto.  The most important fact is that MinaKushi had to have similar background with an already existing pair to be considered a parallel.  One can't take one line like "find someone like your mom" and just take the character's traits into account.  The whole flashback applies.  It is selective choice and self-ignorance to take whatever that suits you and leave the rest out.  You have to apply all the interactions between Minato and Kushina, and Kushina's circumstances at the time as well.  Once you take all that into account, what fits the most?

AGREED!  Hehe, I did a long-ass tumblr post about this, which I'm gonna spam if you guys don't mind...because despite the crap load of typos and grammatical errors (I multitask when I'm tumblr-ing), I was actually proud of it.  Here it is ;) (if anyone actually wants to sit and read through that monstrocity)...

Sometimes we focus on the pairings to much but we forget  that it's a manga with a story that isn't all about pairing. Now Narusaku had a pretty strong parallel the JiraTsu one but ever since Minakushi came into play it was a constant war. I remember Naruhina didn't one but when Minakushi it all transformed into parallels parallels. There are some Naruhinas probably a decent part of them that thing that this parallels are ridiculous or that the others failed because there wasn't a Hinata in the story. And also their the eternal  Naruto is Kushina so he needs to find someone like his father.

 

But never mind what NH thinks I'm wondering about why did Kishi find it necessary to have Minakushi look so similar to Narusaku and if hopefully Narusaku will have it's place in the plot (at least this war/juubi revival arc if not the rest of it)

I don't think kishi would do all of that for nothing , NS has its relevance in the subplot . kishi worked on it so much throughput part 2 and some of part 1 that it can't possibly have a open ending . He made it look similar to show us the direction of everything , maybe some of that is what Mianto and Kushina went through in their years . all of that was just a goal Kishi himself gavE Naruto was to be with Sakura , its one of the messages he is trying to show us that love is something that requires patience and time and effort and hardwork . Kishi sure taught me alot .

Romance isn't a major part of the manga, but it is important.  Naruto unrequited feelings for Sakura, and her unrequited feelings for Sasuke was a tool that Kishimoto used to instantaneously have the readers realize why Naruto had a rivalry with Sasuke (among other things).  Also, in a manga that is specifically about the heroes journey as he overcomes challenges to attain all his goals, the question of whether or not the person who the hero has liked since before the  begining of the story will fall for the hero is important --will Naruto be able to overcome the challenge of the detrimental feelings Sakura has for Sasuke, so that she realizes how healthy her relationship with Naruto is and thus realizes her feelings for him?  And the parallels are important in that that is one tool Kishimoto has used to indicate to the audience in what direction the story is going.  Like Jiraiya did with Tsunade, Naruto will put Sakura first but since newer generations surpass the past, Sakura will realize her feelings before it's too late for those two crazy kids to get together.  Like Minato and Kushina, Naruto and Sakura will have a relationship, but unlike Naruto's parent these two crazy kids will successfully live the happy family life and will eventually be able to raise their child/children together.  And if Kishimoto decides to focus on the ObiRin parallel, it'll probably be along the lines of unlike Obito -unlike dark Naruto- Naruto will be able to protect Sakura...or if we're lucky and Kishimoto does what he should do, Sakura will be able to protect herself and Naruto will realize that though he'll always want to protect her (and work hard to protect her) she is fully capable of protecting herself, and at times she'll be the one protecting him (please, please let it be the second option with the ObiRin parallel, it would be so beautiful especially considering the fact that Obito is very clearly disrespecting Rin's memory, autonomy, humanity, independence, and status as a Kunoichi).
