Isn't it normal for a manga series that has been out of serialisation for three months to suffer declining sales? Interest in the manga isn't as great as it was before. No new material is being added to the manga to entice readers to continue following it.

Yeah, I agree. I don't expect Naruto to be on here anymore. But I am intrigued about next's week manga sales. I'd like to know how well volume 72 will sell.

Isn't it normal for a manga series that has been out of serialisation for three months to suffer declining sales? Interest in the manga isn't as great as it was before. No new material is being added to the manga to entice readers to continue following it. 

Emmmmmm No bc the manga and the anime are separate  there are many people who don't read the manga and only the anime  , but SP kittened up with releasing the movie before the anime finishes and pretty much spoiled the ending  for those fans  and the anime's ratings has been in constant falling since the war arc many has given up on Naruto bc of the plot has been utter kitten  this movie only helped revealing that even more  .

If the ratings get low enough then maybe they'll cancel the anime, like with what happened with Bleach. We'll know they're in real trouble if that happens.

Another reiteration of blanket hatred which apparently almost everyone shares for the story. I'll grant that SP spoiling the ending of their anime with a movie the previous year could have influenced the ratings, but I don't think negative sentiments towards the series like yours are the be all and end all for reasons why it's not in the top 10 highest grossing manga.

I expect it to be in the top 10 since it is the last volume of a much beloved series that has been part of people's lives for over a decade. If nothing else, they'll purchase it out of principle.

Oh, that I absolutely expect (I'll be quite shocked if it doesn't make it into the Top ten). I'm simply talking about the overall manga sales.

 

Btw, guys, the last time, Naruto has been in the top 50 according to animenewsnetwork.com was during December 8-14 for Volume 71. It has sold 907,830 after seven weeks; by now it should have easily reached a million volumes. Looking forward to see how much volume 72 will bring in XD
