Aniplex is merely the DVD distributor, so there really isn't any guarantee that this is how the DVD cover will look like in other parts of the world. It most likely will though. I don't see why other ditributors would bother to change the artwork and to be honest, it wouldn't really surprise me that this really is some sort of desperate attempt to win over the NS crowd. I'm not gonna fall for it though. You've already shown your true colours SP. No turning back now. You get no more money from me.
Hey guys since we're on the topic of SP's mismarketing of Naruto and how they treated it.
I came up with a question regarding which Anime studio would you choose to handle Naruto?
Mine would be A-1 pictures and how they handled S.A.O II it was pretty flawless with the exception of a few things here and there.
My backups if not them would be Wit Studio who did Attack on Titan or Madman Entertainment who did Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
A-1 pictures would be a good choice. So far they've done a good job with Fairy Tail. Even the fillers are consistenly good, which is more than can be said for the fillers that SP produce.
Wit would also be a good choice, especially with assistance from I.G. Productions.
As for FMA:B, that series was not developed by Madman. Madmad merely distributes the DVD's. The studio that developed the FMA:B anime was BONES. I still agree though. They too would be an excellent choice for a new adaptation.
Other than that, there are studios like Sunrise and Madhouse.
The biggest problem would be to get a studio who would be willing to commit to a series with 100+ episodes. A-1 (Fairy Tail), Sunrise (Gintama) and Madhouse (Hunter X Hunter) would probably be willing to do it, but I don't know about BONES and Wit.
In the end it doesn't really matter though. Unless Kishi somehow changes the ending to be less kitten, then I don't see the point.
