In general though I feel as if... the movie is a movie. It was a nice thumbs up to us but I'm not so sure we can say that it has a deeper meaning. I won't make it any more or any less than what it is, really.

I understand. It's good to be open minded about it. Wish I can say for people at NF. They're really hating the fact Kishi worked on this movie.

more importantly, they're refusing the fact that Kishimoto was been involved in this movie by creating some characters (like sakura's parents and AU rookies) and the story about Naruto's family and Sakura. Of course he didn't make the entire script with dialogues since he's a busy mangaka but still the story is created by him

Exactly. Also he was in charge, so he gives the approval. Like "Oh no, Naruto doesn't really say stuff like that. Change it." Pretty much, this is all his.

My favorite part was when Naruto and Menma were falling after the Kurama's battle.

I could see the scene like this

Naruto: Okay 9 tails, I got you out of the prison, now before I hit the floor could you come in and save my butt?

More. Developments and all. Even if the movie has NS fan service and it sucks, I would say it sucks. But that's not the case. Also, the NS moments are genuine. It's not forced, it's all genuine, making this pairing a legitimate couple. Why you think I'm incredibly happy about this movie.

Granted that it's a movie but that's not my point. The point is how the story is told. Naruto and Sakura had a bad argument and the way they climb back up didn't feel forced or randomly have NS moments for no reason. The point is that the pairing goes with the flow. Unlike Hinata, it seems like he must take sacrifice to make her stood out for a moment. It's no wonder why people say that story works on NS favor and it really shows in movie and manga.

Don't give up hope. To me, I feel like it's coming really soon.

The contrast between reaction here and the narusaku fans on Tumblr couldn't be more different. On Tumblr it's all "squee!" and "narusaku is canon"! It's so fun and vibrant with the reactions. Here, I'm seeing the more vocal people in this thread spouting the tiresome naruhina shippers reactions.

I think the Tumblr fans reaction is more in line to how Kishimoto wanted you react- that's how Japanese fans- both neutral and narusaku shippers reacted. Remember Kishimoto wrote the script for RTN and was involved during the filmaking too. This was a essentially an condensed version of the manga with an AU thrown in. So less with the "debbie downer" posts and more with the celebrating, okay?

Sure, the NS stuff thrown in is nice and it's great for fanart and gifs.

But the movie just isn't canon. It's arrogant to scream it's canon. That's just as bad as the hand holding canon situation. It's perfectly ok to feel 100% confident in NS now that this Kishi movie is out if you weren't already 100% confident in the first place I suppose, but I don't have any doubts that NS will be canon either way. All I really care about is the journey there, which hasn't happened yet in the manga.

So no canon screaming from me.

This Movie seems freaking amazing for the NS Camp But.

Even if it's a nice movie and all if the manga insist in keeping me away from any NS moment, keep the focus on Hinata/NH and nothing about Sakura, it will be hard really hard for me to fully enjoy this movie.

Is being a long time since we got a real focus on NS in the Manga that is not even funny.

No sir, it's just like 615 i'm not going to put my expectations way too high( to a point to scream canon) because there's a possibility of trolling, and moreover the movie does not make up for Sakura's lack of screentime and development lately, i wish she get some power-up with training and do something i dont want her whole character be resumed with "moving on from Sasuke to Naruto" because this is not the attitude of the main heroine, on the movie she did things that she didnt do on the manga like "fighting alongside"with Naruto against an strong enemy.

welp I say this movie gives narusaku a huge boost just because kishi helped alot with it~

I'm not 100% claiming NaruSaku is as good as canon because of RtN. Logically, that's a biased point of view and anything can still happen if Kishi wants it too. However, I will say that movie increased it's chances and makes it into a "If any other pairing happens, it'll be awkward" zone. I've always believed it'll be the canon couple for a while now, but this movie just increased my confidence more.

I mean, really? That NaruSaku/MinaKushi confirmation in Rtn? Parallel to 1st Kyuubi attack with NS this time instead of MK? That's just too damn obvious, it's what really implied NaruSaku being canon. Seriously, after something like that, part of me doesn't blame NaruSaku fans for saying it's almost canon or canon.

Canon means official right? NaruSaku are not official/canon before they declare themselves as a couple. While of course I can't read Kishi's mind, I have no doubt about the pairing. Having no doubt and pretending like you know the outcome is different, isn't it?
