It's not about those two chapters alone... What about chapter 693?chapter  540? and when she's like "oh Sasuke-kun don't care.." etc ...

I always thought Kishi kittened up his romance subplot by delaying this retarded love triangle. But I overlooked those scenes because of Kakashi's words, because of Sakura's reaction when Naruto "agreed" with Sasuke, and because of Yamato's words. IMO for this to be done corrrectly ,Sakura should have started to doubt her feeling towards both boys after Yamato's more than obvious comment, but we can't have that can we? The outcome would be too obvious if he did this and he couldn't milk the love triangle anymore...

Well, it's Sunday, so it's like the usual day of slow and just well, a normal day. That said the podcast is now up and yes, I was among them to share my final thoughts. Though to be honest, I may have to write or speak my own thoughts because looking back, this one has things that has been held off for a while, so it's a different reaction than I didn't know until now. I guess my reactions went through the same as the ending as The Graduate: happy to what you did but realized the outcome of it and now, well your supposed happiness isn't truly there. Someone needs to post every NaruSaku moment in the manga (preferably in Japanese) so that he has a greater understanding of the sacrifices and betrayal that needed to be made to ensure his ending. 

 

Edit: Oh, and let's not forget the Databook entries specifically telling how Naruto has persistently loved Sakura throughout the series. As well as the intense shortness of breath and uncertainty of Sakura's feelings towards Naruto.

The only thing that I felt we might have ignored is when Kishi stated in one of his interviews that, while Naruto is close (which I took to mean that Sakura  has feelings for him), Sakura still loves Sasuke. Maybe Kishi already gave his opinion about the whole thing before the ending in this way. What still doesn't make sense to me though is the fact that Sakura has never been shown standing up to Sasuke whenever he said harsh things to her. She just accepted them...which forever bothered me about SS and why I believed that her feelings for Naruto would be a lot stronger in the end, especially when there have been certain moments where she chose Naruto over Sasuke. But...guess I was reading it wrong all this time
