For anyone that even had the word "troll" come into their mind while reading my earlier posts, I would like you to get on both knees, kiss my hand as though I am your king and you're receiving my grace, and apoloigze.

Like I said before, anything is possible in the narutoverse. Screw logic.

Well I still think NS is the endgame so I won't do that except if NH is officially canon but I have to say I don't care either way I just want to see if my predictions will become a reality and I have not been wrong until now. Looking at people's reactions I'm so glad I don't care about this manga and Kishi's terrible writing.

Personally, it could be her shock of the deaths that happened. But if you look carefully, Sakura's upset expression to the death's before the NH interaction. And when Hinata was stroking Naruto's face, giving her speech, Sakura had a different facial expression. Shocked as hell but also bordering on disturbed at the same time. Plus, it was a panel of only Sakura. I'm pretty sure it means something.

Here's the NS opinion in me:

I'm sorry, but am I the only one who thinks Kishi is using Hinata as a plot device again? But this time it's for Sakura to finally stop playing around and do something before her man disappears. It almost happened during Hinata's confession, remember? Dat realization.

The impossible and ridicously scenario of holding Naruto's hand might just wake her up. If not that, then something even bigger is required from NH lol.

They held hands for Christ's sake! I mean, in just one chapter Kishi gave the NH fandom a huge reason to claim their ship to be canon, and that is something no one on this site can take away from them. This was by far the biggest NH moment ever. What's even worse is that Kishi made Hinata do what Sakura already did years ago in the beginning of shippuden. You know, the part where Sakura put her hand on Naruto's face, but it was Hinata doing it this time. He's basically taking a dump on that NS moment by replacing it with a NH moment.

I'll only give up if there's no NS moment on this arc, the problem is not her holding hands or whatever you call it, it's hinata who did a 360, she bring naruto back to his senses when he did it with her all the time, and in the end, Naruto's probably going to take her to join the battle with him, making her the main heroine of the series, it's just about it, i know that he had to develop hinata's character but at the point of bashing Sakura? instead of developing her at least he simply swapped roles.
I'm just waiting.

It is Hinata's resolution as a character. 614, 615 and probably 616 is her big spotlight for her character, of course she'll get some credits from the writer and from the protagonist Naruto. After that, we'll see her fighting Obito and Madara, probably she's part of the plan that is set, but not on spotlight like those chapters. She'll be along the others.

I don't believe NH is canon with just this. Again, I don't necessarily thing Naruto held her hand for romantic purposes, but he did hold it for reassurance, support, to give chakra, and because Hinata is a friend, somehow, an even closer one now. :/

But anyway, there's another thing I don't like. While I have the feeling that NS will have another moment after this.... how is it going to top this? Well I mean, in general, hand holding isn't that big of a deal. Completely hugging someone is much closer, but it's not just the hand holding. Naruto was about to give into Obito, a major villain, and Hinata was the one that slapped him out of it.

What can Sakura do that will mean as much or more than Hinata's actions? I'm not saying it can't be done, but does anyone have any thoughts?

- It would look really bad now if she ends up being a damsel in distress for that Sakura = Rin parallel scenario (where she dies or almost dies thanks to Obito), it will really tarnish her heroine role in addition to this chapter. I think that particular situation where Sakura is in danger thing should be thrown out.

- I don't think he'd repeat the "I'll jump in front of you so that you're not killed". Then it would really seem like Sakura is taking a step back and stepping into Hinata's old role as Hinata just stepped into hers.

- She could give him a pep talk, but could it ever be moving enough as convincing Naruto not to fall for Obito's scheme?

- What's bigger than a romantic hug or holding hands? A kiss or a confession. But would she confess right after this war? Eh. Would he confess? I still think he's going to hold it all in until he returns Sasuke. A kiss? At this point, I feel like a kiss is totally out of the left field, I don't know.

Well with Kishi, nothing's out of left field. Also in an attempt to give some ground for a kiss. I recall Kurama making fun on Naruto for not kissing a girl yet during the beginning of this arc. Plus a NS kiss would be the equivalent of dropping a nuke on NH.

Ehhh well in the words of Yamato, it's not what she does for him that matters so much but what she feels for him that does. Perhaps we might see her feelings come to some sort of resolution? As to how that might be shown, I'm not completely sure. Perhaps a kiss for real , that way he actually is kissed by a girl for once. Or maybe, like Naruto did for her in part 1, we might see her actually do something in terms of the battle, where we really see her taking action. If we were to stick with her words in 573, "we're going to be together this time...not just me...we'll all be fighting together" then it may not be anything entirely huge too, which is what I'm afraid of. Maybe after another comrade falls in front of him, she could still give him a pep talk that is just as meaningful? And her feelings won't actually be resolved until more of a team 7 arc comes along. I still picture something like the OVA happening, so. Maybe she'll confess then, and a kiss would be sweet .

sadly, you guys told the whole world that hinata was selfish for thinking to hold naruto's hand
