Why did you change you were going to kick my ass with Flacco. Because why the Rams are worse then Cleveland. sad.gif

I don't think we'll even make it to the second half of the season at this rate. sad.gif I want my team to have a highlight reel, not be on someone else's.

If my WR's play as projected I might pull it off. Aaron Rodgers had 3 TDs. All three to Finley, so it balanced out for me. 31 pts for Rodgers 26 for Finely.

And this just in...Frank Gore sucks. Greene is doing decent, but Gore...Geez.

Reavers! 107.8
Tokyo Raiders 123.75

Reporter: What happened today?

Simply put the Running and Kicking Game. The Tokyo Raiders brought their A-game today and simply put we didn't. The Houston kicker had multiple chances to kick for points, the Ravens did as we expected to the Rams, they murdered them, Josh Brown was ineffective. But our biggest disappointment was our run game, Michael Turner didn't show up like the Falcons, he really didn't achieve his potential today. Darren Sproles is so effective and such a playmaker we have promise with him.

What about the Defense?

Yeah, they were hit by an unlikely source but we didn't anticipate the Giants doing that much.

Any positives to take out of this first loss?

We've got a very good Quarterback, very good. Nate Washington was a very good addition to our team and he showed it. With Kenny Britt out we're going to be keeping him around. We'll play matchups and with Miles Austin out for awhile we'll take a look. AJ Green didn't have a great game, but he is worth keeping this season. And what can I not say about Rob Gronkowski he shows up every game, every game with a TD. We'll recover in time and make sure to be ready for Gama.

What are you planning?

*smirks* Secret.

Sorry, no recap for Week 2. But my streak of always being wrong on Nate's games ended last week. A moment of silence, please.

Jwolf's Wildly Inaccurate Week 3 Predictions!

Sir Cam Newton's Law (Mik3) vs. Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish)
-Sir Cam Newton's Law favored by ~2

Ah, Arian Foster and his troublesome hamstring. I have to believe he will play a bit more, but even if he's a late scratch the fact that he's an early game gives the Commish some flexibility. While I can't discount the possibility of Tom deciding to drop 50, I'm not on the Eric Decker bandwagon yet.

I'm not on the Decker bandwagon either, but if I waited until I was sure, I'm pretty sure that somebody else would've grabbed him. Like when Sproles vanished during the Thursday night game. I started him because my flex position is so inconsistent. Bush is pretty inconsistent, scoring 2 TDs one week, and fumbling each of the next two. And Minnesota seems to be only able to play a half of football, plus Harvin is on the field less than such stalwart receivers as Jenkins and Berrian. I'm not looking forward to the bye weeks. At least, TB has decided that they'll use Blount pretty often after all.

14 yards short....

80+ yards and less than a minute and what does Grossman do...two screens and a fumble. Just one more pass to Moss....

Of course, this would be unncessary if Gore could produce more than 1.4 points. Starting Williams and his purtrid 3.5 would have been better.

Week 3 Quick Recap

Sir Cam Newton's Law (Mik3) 95.30
Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish) 142.55

-Once MIKEVICK went down to a broken bruised hand, the Commish's loss was guaranteed. 20+ pt. games from both of Nick's WRs AND Fred Jackson made sure it wouldn't have mattered if MIKEVICK had stayed in though. What a pasting.

The Golden Thumbs (Rick) 88.20
Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) 50.70

-Is Nee-sama still suffering from not having Aaron Rodgers? It's not the only reason to be sure (The Colts' ineffectiveness, losing Kenny Britt for the year), but our favorite team of frogs is clearly reeling. And because I am lazy, we will just point at not having Aaron Rodgers and nod knowingly.

Sam Adams Patriots (Nate River) 90.00
All we do is lose (Illmatic) 90.35

-Wow, dood. I did NOT foresee this happening at the start of the season. Shonn Greene looks like he's getting back on track - just in time to face Baltimore. And 1.20 points from Gore who is hurt? Yeesh.
Yes, you got the Kick to the Groin this week too.

Zatties! (Zatren6) 143.00
The Wulfpack (Burning_Wulf) 110.50

-While the BEASTLINESS of Wes Welker and the Ravens' D more than held their own against the BEASTLINESS of Matthew Stafford and Darren McFadden, the Zatties! brought more backup to the table while the rest of the 'Pack didn't (only one other player in double digits). 110 is normally enough to be competitive if not win outright, but Z's team was awfully feisty this week.

Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia) 125.05
Reavers! (Insurrection) 107.80

-The Reavers! had 2 of the 3 highest scoring players in this matchup, Da Raiduhz had more players in double digits. Consistency wins out. It's odd how there seems to be an awful lot of incredibly silly point totals so far this season though.

Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0) 112.75
Ellicott Thundercats (True) 99.85

-Only three players in double digits won't get it done. I really expected more from Ben Tate though, and CHRISJOHNSON looks like he's still working through training camp. Seems benching Romo for Fitzpatrick was the right call after all, hooray!

Week 3 results: 4-2
Overall pick record: 11-7
Kick to the Groin 'Winners':
-Week 1: Zatren6
-Week 2: Nate River. Tough luck with the kid, dood.
-Week 3: Nate River. Frank Gore, dood.

Yeah. My vaunted trio of comp pick RB's has been nothing short of putrid. Traded foster (which looks good so far, Bryant hasn't got a ton, but I expect improvement, Williams stinks, but Kolb has been a more consistent QB than Ryan, so it solidified that a bit), Gore has been downright bad. I searching for a replacement. Greene has been doing better.

Now that I face my trading partner, I know what will happen. I've had nothing but bad karma (or maybe I just stink at this) in both my leagues. One win between two teams and chronic underperformance by almost everyone (that league was pure autodraft and I ended up on the wrong side of Wes Welker and got less than 10 points from EVERYONE not named JerMichael Finley).

So, given that my prediction is that Foster (who has done nothing all season) will go off for 500 yards and 6 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Dez Bryant will catch a pass 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage just as his legs fall off and he fumbles into the opposing endzone. Kolb similarly will throw a pix six on the first pass of the game just as his arm falls off and Williams, who is currently on my bench will for 200 yards and three TD's...all from the air via Cam Newton. Of course, if I start him Newton and Rivera will forget he's on the field.

I mean, I picked up a rookie runner who ran for 44 yards in Ridley because I'm desperate to replace Gore. He's been awful.

Its getting close to now or never. Mcgahee has been a nice surprise and should be getting the majority of carries from now on, and Felix finally had himself a decent game. Need Foster and Vick to show up Healthy. Theres still time to turn it around. I still like my teams potential, the question is if it will be realized. But at least Im not stuck with bums, just nicked up talented players.

How am I supposed to do this on only one cup of coffee and six hours of sleep? THIS INJUSTICE MUST NOT STAND.

Jwolf's Wildly Inaccurate Week 4 Predictions!

KellersFrostedFlakes (Mik3) vs. Sam Adams Patriots (Nate River)
-KellersFrostedFlakes favored by ~16

Shriner-dood is starting Stevan Ridley... oh boy. That tells you pretty much what you need to know about this matchup. Unless Santana Moss and Jermichael Finley seriously go off, I have a hard time seeing Nate pull off the upset.

The Golden Thumbs (Rick) vs. Leatherbacks (Nick Soapdish)
-Leatherbacks favored by ~18

The Leatherbacks' passing game is truly something to fear with Brady, Megatron, and Mike Wallace. Throw in a dash of Fred Jackson and a resurgent Bills offense and it's hard to pick against them while they're on this roll.

Gama Warriors (Nee-sama) vs. Reavers! (Insurrection)
-Reavers! favored by ~5

I actually think Insurrection's team is slightly underprojected. But I'm making a gut call here, thinking Adrian Peterson will enjoy teeing off against the Chiefs and that Fred Davis will find the end zone today. And Roethlisberger can't fumble threeve times EVERY week, can he?

Zatties! (Zatren6) vs. Ellicott Thundercats (True)
-Ellicott Thundercats favored by ~5

Maybe I like these five point 'dogs? I dunno. Chris Johnson may be close to bring fully game-fit, but man has Darren McFadden torn it up so far. If only there weren't so many 'P' and 'Q' markers next to so many of Z's players. I'm not sure that I fully trust Benson or Steven Jackson this week, and that makes me lean towards the underdogs.

Tokyo Raiders (roninmedia) vs. The Wulfpack (Burning_Wulf)
-Tokyo Raiders favored by ~6

I have to believe that Philip Rivers has to be embarrassed by a dreadful performance against KC and takes it out on Miami. The fact that Miami has been horrible against the pass so far certainly doesn't help. The gameplan seems to Rivers+Welker+hope someone else steps up, but I think this is a good week for that to happen. (Looking at you, Tony Gonzalez!)

Sparky McRandomsons (jwolf0) vs. All we do is lose (Illmatic)
-All we do is lose favored by ~9

Sigh. Rashard Mendenhall, any time you'd like to show up consistently it would be nice. Do you know how dirty I feel rooting for a Steeler? (Oddly enough I had no problems with this when I had Mike Wallace in different leagues last year. Go figure.) Aaron Rodgers is PROJECTED to get 32. Ugh. Unless Peyton Hillis strains his groin coming out of the tunnel I'm not sure I can put up the points to win a shootout.
Spring forth LeSean McCoy and save me!

And I feel your pain on Mendenhall, he's been killing me in another league so I benched him for Ryan Mathews. Rivers has been disappointing me too, so I'm rolling the dice o Fitzpatrick.

ronin why the hell are you still using Chad Henne in Week 4. You HAVE FLACCO. Besides Chad Henne has been taken to the locker room to be examined, Matt Moore is in the game. Ravens are much better then Miami even against the Jets.

I'm wondering the same thing. The Jets D didn't exactly light things up last week.

Cutler did have a pretty rough game. You'd think with 34 points, they'd get one TD pass out of it. I'm glad that Detroit turned it on later. I was looking at Detroit's defense scoring me 8 points and CJ scoring me 3.8 and starting to worry just a bit.

Ouch.

I thought that you were starting Ridley and I was about to give you props on the acquisition. It looks like your bad luck took another turn. Bryant had a good day, but your bench is killing your starters in points, even if you include your defense and kicker.

Given the day, Mik3 had. I don't think it'd have mattered.

I looked. Don't know if it's 70 points, but the whole team can kiss by butt. Gore has pitful yards per carry and cost me last week. So, naturally he goes for 100+ and a TD. It hasn't mattered, every decisions turn out being the wrong one.

Now, I'm just pissed off.

Sigh...

Makes sense, especially after the Ravens got the early lead. I don't know why they didn't run the ball. It looks like they started running Rice only after they proved that they couldn't pass with Flacco. Looks like you did have the right idea with Henne - or would have if he could've stayed in.
