I finally got to watch the first two episodes of movie 1... The animation though. I could barely recognize some of the characters.

And no, I absolutely disliked the animation. You'd think that for an anime released upon its 15th anniversay, the studio would have a bigger budget. Instead we get horrid character designs and meh animation fluidity. But then again, this is Toei.
I have nothing against the story of the anime though. It was just a nice throwback.

I see, in my opinion I like the animation and some like the animation. Like the the fandom of Saint Seiya would kill to have that animation of Digimon.

I saw the animation being very good. It has a good quality of graphics. The characters look good with them grown up. If someone didn't like the designs of the characters, maybe getting used to is what it needs.
