LOL i see what you mean  =)

I just don't think Kishimoto is aware of the cracking on occidental or american forums...

I agree and I have no clue what Japan thinks of this. I don't think it's anything other than what it is: a color page of them in a western setting. I don't think it has any hidden meaning or is meant to suggest anything. I suppose if the pairings all starting turning up Sasuke in the next couple of months, I might change my mind.

However, until actual development manifests itself in ways that show Sasuke's is reciprocating or that Sakura still loves him then it's hard to get worked up over this.

Having feelings for someone isntthe same s being in love with them. You can feel with (sympathize) with a relative, friend, dead squirrel

We already had translators on this sight go through this you can look up the 675 thread where we pretty much all go through it

I disagree, but that's okay. I don't see why he'd have Sakura keep fixating on what Sasuke's feelings for her were if she was over him. It doesn't help that Sakura's confession was hammered in as 'fake'. I don't have confidence in anything being 100% at the moment. So far, it's open ended. (I wouldn't be surprised if he ended the manga open ended as well. He always skips over things without resolution!)

Except the next page Kakashi says this: You still have feelings for someone who tried to kill you' (Unless this is an incorrect translation?) It's essentially no she doesn't, but wait she does! but then maybe not! He couldn't be more vague.

Well going with takL(who makes everything vague) it's vague

But to the translators here, it's past tense

Yes, which is vague. I'd rather have a more concrete end to her feelings-and from her own POV, not a third party. :P

You just reminded me.

Sasukes feelings for Sakura have never been touched upon.

Neither have Naruto's feelings for Hinata.

However, Sakura's feelings for Naruto have been touched upon on numerous occasions...

How is that vague? When Kakashi refers to SS in the past tense?

-Her feelings have changed for Sasuke and its different than it was before which clearly was love to begin with

-He says that she still wants to save him from darkness because he is someone she used to love

It is concrete because he tells us directly that its over

Yes she would be concerned because it confirms to her that Sasuke isnt back to their side yet

Never in a concrete romantic way, though. Naruto is full of one sided crushes/love, which is why it's so frustrating. :/

It's vague because it's not concrete. It could be either or. It doesn't have to be romantic, but it doesn't say it isn't either. I'd love to believe it was over, but all the chapters afterwards where she's wasting time worrying over what Sasuke thinks of her getting hurt or her falling. It's just not something you'd do if you were over someone.

I'll have to agree to disagree on the concrete part, then. The actions just don't match up. I shipped Zutara way back when I was a teenager. I lived in the fandom bubble and completely ignored anything other than my own interpretations, and well, we all know how that worked out in the end. :P

Ummmmm

She wants Sasuke to acknowledge her and for team 7 to have a happy ending

Sasuke being an a-hole or acting like one won't make that happen

In which none have to romantic

Yeah, exactly.

Kishimoto already knows the end pairing, so he's not looking at / thinking of / intending that every stroke of his pencil is a clue.  This entire ridiculous (and frankly embarrassing) reaction by some to the color cover is a reflection of people's hyper-obsession with the pairings.  SMH.

The cover changes nothing.  We're still on schedule for Sasuke to be redeemed in some measure, and for the complete transfer of Sakura's feelings to Naruto.

It's disappointing that you didn't mention Orochimaru in your list. He's been an iconic character since the beginning - the sole surviving Akatsuki member once this war ends. So much of his personal background and motives are shrouded in mystery. Moreover, he still poses a dangerous threat as an S-Rank criminal with probably one of the highest bounties ever seen on his head.

What is the expectation for Orochimaru? Surely he can't just pretend that his self-motivated actions of "saving" the Alliance will nullify everything he's done prior to the war. He's more practical and cunning than that. There needs to be a proper build-up towards his own resolution soon.

I agree.  I confess I still try to figure out if Orochimaru is really done or if we're going to see more from him yet.  From the beginning my money was on him as the final villain.  And I have to admit I was bummed that we were not shown his dream within the Infinite Tsukuyomi.  But then I thought, perhaps Kishimoto is withholding Orochimaru's dream because it would tip us off as to what might be ahead.

However, I'm not sure how Orochimaru could wrangle his way back into the game, and it doesn't look likely at this point although I would love it. Unless he makes a final play for Sasuke's body or something.  But if something like that happened, especially after whatever resolution occurs between Naruto and Sasuke, it would be counter-intuitive to the notion that the ninja world had learned its lesson.

I don't know.  Depends on what Kishimoto plans as his final message.  A world without hate or discord?  That would be less than realistic to attempt.  Maybe he is going for Part 3...?

Actually I think the movie anouncement is a much larger threat to NS than the cover page is.

Not in my opinion. So far, every movie has supported NaruSaku over SasuSaku or NaruHina.

Also, it is Kishimoto that is working on it again, and we know what happened last movie he worked on (RTN)

How?

Do we even know what the movie is about?

We know it takes place in the future (adult Naruto, "The new era" etc.)

Even if Kishi makes NS canon before the movie comes out he would have a hell of a hard time putting NS in it without it spoiling it for the anime fans.

So either

A. Naruto is hokage and is married to Sakura in the movie

B. Naruto is just an adult and has still hasn't completed any of his goals

I have no idea what Kishi's planning to do that won't screw over his own story here.

I'm saying that Kishi resolving things in the movie before the manga or the anime is gonna cause some major problems.

Was it feasible for Obito to use Kamui on Kaguya? Sure, she could just get back, but it would have lifted the gravitational pull and given some time for the two/three/four to come up with a strategy for when she gets back. But then Kakashi would have been sacrificed and we can't have that I suppose. While I'd like to see him provide some advice or be helpful too, Kakashi has had plenty of times where he's shone through--and plenty of focus. Call it favouritism, but I just keep holding out for more Sakura involvement. Not to say what she's already done hasn't pleased me. It's made me so happy that I just want more and more, though not in the same way that Sasuke and Naruto get it. Though, I guess if she received some crazy plot contrived power up, I wouldn't be too mad at her~ She deserves those freebies.

Another thing, she super imposed the gravity on them, but she (and Naruto) fly in a way that seems to have nothing to do with gravity. How is chakra flight affected by gravity? I guess it became so much that it trumped the limits of what the jutsu can do? Even, for a goddess...? I dunno, I found it really strange. Then she 'fixed' the shooting bone, but couldn't fix herself huh? Now, somehow Kakakashi and Obito were able to overcome this? What, did Rin's spirit intervene in the gravity jutsu for just the two of them for a moment to provide that possibility? Unlike Naruto and Kaguya, I was unaware that they had any gravity defying feats, and if it was simply a matter of pushing their chakra, I'm pretty sure againg Naruto, Kaguya and even Sasuke got more than them there. Wow, it's been awhile since I questioned the logistics of a jutsu. I haven't really done that since part one.

When I saw the colour chapter cover, I was pretty confused. At first I interpreted it as them advertising the last Naruto movie like they weren't going to make anymore after this. Then I questioned why of all things that would be a western. Now I think that it's "The Last" the Naruto Movie which is a title... which again, what does this have to do with a western? I have no idea. Looking forward to seeing more information about that.

Oh I though you were just talking about pairings

Anyways who said it would follow this storyline?
