I got to start practicing on edits like how people do it at tumblr. They can be funny. I can't help but laugh when they use Spongebob text (One week later...) because I just imagine my head that narrator's voice saying it. I haven't see the show in a while but I remember being it smart which leads to hilarity.

Wow, July already. So much for this year is the last. Oh well. But you know, I feel like something good is coming for the upcoming week. It just feels that way. Probably because a lot of stuff is happening in one week for me, and this included. Not to mention 4th of July is approaching. I think timing must be too good but I can sense it.

Honestly, I don't think he's playing that much with the pairings. I think it's an interpretation of us readers that he would play about pairings.

I used to think so too, a long time ago, but now I'm convinced he never intended to "play" with pairings.

However, I think he's actually trying to MAKE THINGS LAST LONGER because he never intended to write that much about Naruto to begin with.

He dragged the story for much more years than what he expected to do in the beginning because his editor asked him to. Because the manga was successful.

 

I think everything else is just fans interpretations. Naruto supposedly reaction to Hinata is just Naruto being Naruto, and nothing that he has done with her wasn't even looking like romantic, despite what NaruHina fans are saying. He has just been kind to her because she has been kind, but it's obvious he doesn't love her and never will.

 

I think Kishimoto is just untitled to his characters, I think he loves every character he has created (he's an author after all) and I think he wants to develop them at their fullest, and that's all.

So with Hinata, love is obviously involved because she loves Naruto.

 

What he has done with Sakura is not playing with pairing either IMO.

He's just working on Sakura's development, which is including her parting from Sasuke.

 

Fans are interpreting it like pairing tease or pairing play because they are upset that EVERYTHING IS TAKING DAMN TOO MUCH TIME TO HAPPEN. We are frustrated. Naruto would have been better, IMO, if Kishimoto would have been let alone to decide on his story. No editor. Just Kishimoto.

 

It's not that he's going backwards, it's just that he's forced to drag everything on a long period of time, and it's obvious he never intended to.

 

That's what I'm feeling about it.

 

615 is not pairing related at all. It's a nakama moment, and Hinata's character needed this to evolve.

He is playing around with the pairings but in really small portions. Once in a while he'll create a small moment, something that regular readers won't even notice. But pairing fans will.

 

And yes he's also doing everything he can to make this story longer. Why? Simple, money. The longer the story, the more money he and the people he works for make.

 

About the part where he loves his characters. I have to disagree with you there. If that's true, then why doesn't he treat Sakura like a main character? Why does he always make her do something good and then he decides that one shining moment is enough for her, and she must return to being a damsel in distress that can't do anything.

Something similar can be said about Sasuke and Hinata. They're the worst characters Kishimoto created.

 

And of course Yes 615 is not pairing chapter/moment, but it gives that vibe. The more intelligent people know that 615 is about friendship and the not so intelligent see it as a pairing moment.

Ok understandable, he likes to portray a realistic character. Makes sense. There's no such thing as a perfect person/character.

 

My problem with what Kishi's doing with Sakura. He gives her one amazing moment, where she shows how much she evolved, how stronger she became, how smart she is, how matured she is etc. but for a reason I really don't know after showing us how awesome Sakura can be and is. He acts like he forgot how awesome Sakura is.

 

For example. In the Kage summit ark, she was the smart one, she was the one that showed how matured she was compared to Naruto. She understood that the only way to end this is to kill Sasuke, remember Naruto almost had a heart attack when he found out his boyfriend was going to die.

And then for no reason when she finally gets her chance to get rid of Sasuke, she stops in order to think about her feelings for the old Sasuke. Sasuke takes advantage of this and goes for the kill, while Sakura does nothing to stop him, she effectively was reduced to be a damsel in distress that needed Naruto to save her. Not going to lie here, loved the moment Naruto saved her. But still.

 

Recent example the Juubi mini clones. After defeating 40 or 50 of those things by herself, at the end of the chapter she can't take care of two of those creatures. And she needs Sasuke and Naruto to come to the rescue. Why? And then for the following chapters she returns to be the medic.

 

Why can't Kishimoto give her a good moment and then continue to give her good moments? And of course once in a while you give her a bad moment. In order to balance things.

When you write a story, you have to have a balance. Kishi's balance with Sakura's character is 20% Success and 80% Failure.

I've already said this. I love Sakura, and I will always defend her. But I will not defend Kishi for what is doing with her.

 This chapter is kinda really disappointing. It kind of just perfectly summed up all of the things I've been disappointed about since Sasuke's reappearance and with recent development.

 

I tried. I really tried, but I couldn't laugh for this like I did when Naruto did the Sennin Goroshi up Beast Gaara's rear end. In any other context or situation, perhaps I would laugh just at the plain absurdity of it and for how nostalgic it is that of course Naruto would think of something like that, but for some reason, the timing of this one couldn't be worse (for me). 

 

Disregarding the fact that Kaguya actually did get stunned enough to allow Naruto to land a hit, but as a couple of you already mentioned, the character developments of each individual member of Team 7 has been incredibly disappointing recently. 

 

I mean sure, Sasuke is "back", which makes Team 7 "whole" again. (altho he can get eaten by a Hollow in that dimension for all I care lol). Sure, the reappearance of Reverse Harem no Jutsu brings back the more light-hearted tones of Part I and the unchanging, lovable characteristics of Naruto. And sure, with the power of teamwork, they are somehow supposed to bring this (hopefully) last Big Bad, whom possesses the power of a god in her own right and has gone through so many changes and power upgrades since the war first started, down. (Seriously, how is Kishi planning on plausibly bringing this outrageously powerful god down without pulling a Deus Ex Machina out from Doraemon's magic pocket?)   

 

But where does that leave the rest of Team 7? Just as soon as Sakura had resolved herself to finally make a difference, Kishi has to go and push her back to being a spectator once again, before she even gets to do ANYTHING. Kakashi is sidelined and is probably almost all out of fuel by now. The only technique and plan that Naruto has come up with is this ridiculously out of place jutsu that was dubbed "that" technique eons ago, in which we all thought was going to be the ace up his sleeve that would show for his three year training trip. Like seriously? This is the technique that you've been working on more than the Rasengan?    (It's also a possibility that "that" technique may genuinely be another actual technique, but that remains to be seen). Then, Sasuke pretty much orders Naruto coolly to "cooperate" with his tactic, which would have probably worked out wonderfully since Kishi loves him so much, had it not been for Kaguya pulling him into another dimension.

 

And now, they're left in the situation where once again, Naruto and Sakura (and Kakashi) need to "reach" Sasuke and save him or whatever. Meaning, Sasuke once again becomes their focus.

 

  I may be overreacting or I might have been in a skeptical mood when I first read the chapter, who knows. But the fact of the matter is, it is increasingly harder to deny that Kishi would love for Sasuke to just jump out of the pages and make love to him eight ways to Sunday. I mean, I know that was always true, but it's starting to be unbearable. The only thing I liked in this chapter is the incredibly Naruto, yet wise line that Naruto dropped when he revived Obito.

 

After reading the chapter, I immediately wanted to come here to see what everyone thought, and its already made me feel a lot better after reading up on all the different perspectives everyone has, but I just wanted to kinda get this off my chest amongst respected shipmates.

 

I agree that the castle in the back is suspiciously important. I also agree with the overall consensus that Sakura's questions about Sasuke aren't really relevant to anything pairing-related. In fact, I don't think it was really relevant to anything in that chapter, she could have not said that and it would have made no difference at all. So, I don't know why Kishi even bothered to make her say that, other than to give some people another opportunity to jump to conclusions and to give others another reason to dislike Sakura for her seemingly lack of growth. I just hope that Sakura can somehow break out of the current state of things and show to everyone that she's not gonna take being put in the backdrop any longer (because I certainly can't take it anymore). Then, maybe in the future, Naruto and Sakura can be transported somewhere together to live in a castle on their own...   

 

Also, I'm sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes with this, because that was definitely not my intention, I just needed to vent to and with people who might be of like-mind. lol and sorry for the length. I don't always contribute to discussions, but when I do, I always drop an essay.
